Natural born witches that is, not the Wiccan religion. I ask we do not review Wicca because some natural born witches either deny their ability and choose other religious paths or they embrace their witchery simply do not follow wicca. Which signs and houses do you think their Asc, moon, and suns are?

Depends on your definition of a "witch". In astrological terms, I'd never ascribe AC, Sun or Moon to decide this. Outer planets, maybe. A few of the relevant asteroids making contact with inner planets or angles, yes, certainly. Circe, Hekate, Walpurga, etc, just the first 3 to come to mind. There's a reference thread in the Asteroid Forum somewhere. IP: Logged |

I was thinking 8th house moon as well. Im curious towards Asc, 4th house, the 12th house, the sign Pisces, and the planet Jupiter IP: Logged |

I just bought "The Encyclopedia of Witchcraft: The Complete A to Z for the Entire Magical World" by Judika Illes -- HIGHLY recommend this mammoth text for everyone, it's such a good reference guide across the board. Theres just about everything in this book and I've been reading it a lot.I agree with Moon contacts. I would even say NN 8H and agree with Circe, Hekate, etc. I have Circe/Kalli Conj Moon in my 9H, and NN/Lilith in my 8H. The NN/Lilith is a 3min conj. I also have Sun/Mars/Mercury in my 12th, and Neptune in my 4th. I'll post some deities that my witchcraft encyclopedia notates, which are also asteroids....

These were ones that are listed in my book but are also asteroids that can be referenced........Artemis/Diana -- Huge association with witchcraft. Both take up about 6 pages of my book together. Freya - who rules love, sex, magic, witchcraft, death, pleasure. "Freya is clearly identified as a witch. When she first arrives in Asgard, she teaches the Aesir how to craft charms and potions. It is Freya who introduced Odin to the concept of runes ... She is an independent woman who answers to no one" Isis is going to also have a huge connection with sorcery and spells. She performs acts of resurrection, healing, etc. Kaali -- The "Matron of Witches" in her tales. Her attending spirits are the Dakini, whose name is synonymous with "witch" in modern India. She is the chief Dakini. Abundantia - Was called the "night rider", and was said to bring abundance to her devotees in the night. Also referred to as the Fairy Queen. Persephone/Proserpina -- This would speak to someone who has talents in Shamanism or a woman/man who is able to travel back and forth between worlds. Lilith -- Need I say more? My book says "Earth's first woman was a witch". She is associated with all elements. Her strength is gained with the waining Moon and during the astrological sign of Scorpio. Among Sephardic Jews "La Broosha" (the witch) is a euphemism for Lilith, where she is believed to manifest as a large cat, believing to be the source of the idea that cats will suck the breath out of babies in their sleep. Odin - He is deeply tied to the occult. Odin was a one eyed spirit of war, wisdom, death, etc. Freya taught him charms and spell casting. He dies a Shamanic death so that he may become a rune master. This associates him with the Hanged One Tarot Card. He has two ravens, Hugin and Munin (thought and Memory).

Ooh, I like this thread! My Scorpio Moon falls in the 11th house -- 12th when using equal houses -- and Circe, Walpurga, Artemis, Diana, and Kaali all make aspects to it. Hekate is at 0°41 in Aries, while Artemis and Diana are at 29° in Aquarius and Pisces. I don't know if the 28th degree makes as much of an impact as the 29th degree, but Kaali is at 28°22 Pisces. Freia is conjunct my DSC, but is also stationary direct. (That's what the small Sd means, right?) Interestingly, Mars and my NN are the only points that don't make aspects to any of the asteroids discussed in the thread thus far. Am I witch yet? :P Edit: Uh oh! More asteroids to check now.
