Chiron in the 7th conjunct Vertex opposite Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Saturn. The song is ridden with metaphors and strong imagery. Perfect for me, because I have so many planets in Pisces and they're all opposed by Chiron. The pain sometimes cripples me so deeply that I can't quite verbalize what it does to me so this speaks well of how it feels. Especially the "What might've been lost, don't bother me" portion of the song that contrasts greatly with the "In the morning, I'll call you" bits. The song describes the back and forthness of being hurt by someone you love. The mental conflict that is brought up by constantly trying to make sense of a reality that is very quickly converting itself into memory.

These are the lyrics... Bon Iver does an excellent job of conveying the feeling in ways that the lyrics, while beautiful and telling, could never have done on their own. This is an example of how autotune can be used to create pure art.

Though there are many cosmetic differences of the past/present here I can relate to this song based on childhood wounds of a dysfunctional family:

Luckily I can also relate to the positive ending as well and work not to continue the cycle so open conflict is extremely rare.

As for 10th House concerns specifically I did push myself really hard for awhile to prove my worth and that what many authority figures said about me was wrong until I realized what I was doing and overcame it. I also worked to not become financially dependent on anyone (including in not needing any one person for a job) as that seemed to be setting myself up for exploitation and possible abuse, much of that attitude coming from childhood wounds. I've experienced that more than once as a kid, from evil psychiatrists to a mother who exploited me for child support in addition to what I saw on the streets. That said, I've learned from the past and made my peace with it rather than been imprisoned by it even if the butterfly effect continues.

There was even one guy I might have married under different circumstances as surprising that may be. I let him move in as he lost his job and place and he was wonderful. I didn't care that I was the one who brought home the bacon and then fried it up in a pan for him, that I put a roof over his head. 'Course I was the boss though I spoiled him rotten (but I didn't dare put myself into the power of another). As the song goes:

I don't associate pain with my chiron; it's really fear. I think it plays on my Saturn. When they go, "Reach out for something to hold, (time)" that's very poignant for me. I don't feel like I'm ever grasping for (someone) just that I'm grasping for a time where an opportunity was there. I always look at things like that; this is how much time I have to reach him, or there's no time left for me to find love etc.

I think all the other imagery is neptunian. I like the "we're soul alone, and soul really matters to me." Pretty true.
