I have my mercury and venus in the tenth house. I do value my public image.. I put a lot of effort into having nice pictures on social networks and suchI have my mars conjunct my midheaven, which i read makes me self aware.. But I already knew that lol. I also am very strong willed, it doesn't bother me at all not to listen to people. Not my parents, friends, nobody. IP: Logged |

I have moon in X. Does anyone have interpretations other than "you show your heart to the world" or "your mother's been influential"? Both interpretations don't match in my case IP: Logged |

TBH, I never interpreted them that way. I kinda always understood it as investing your heart and soul into your career, your emotional needs (whatever sign you Moon is in) tend to preoccupy themselves with things related to career and social status. I would say such a person is very emotionally professional as well and very ambitious. Their emotions and need fuel that worldly ambition. I wouldn't say "you show your emotions to the world"... I feel that is more Moon in the 1st. I would say that you use your emotions to propel the way you navigate the public world. But not necessarily that you show your emotions to the world. That being said, it is probably inevitable, since it's angular house, that your emotional nature can be projected outwards but certainly not as inherently apparent as it would be if your Moon was in the 1st. Hope that makes sense... IP: Logged |

Hi Enneline. I have always thought that moon in 10th was the sign of the charmer, the lady killer in a mans chart, somebody just "smooth" with the public. Fluid, like water, lovable, and naturally intuitive to how you are perceived, as well as your perception of everybody and everything. IP: Logged |

I am sometimes naive (moon is in aries ) however I am in touch with the human nature I think. I "smell" false-faced people. And I am often described as "smooth" and "sweet" but I've always credited that to my cancer rising. I often heard that I am quite popular but I know people out there who don't like me. IP: Logged |

It doesn't necessarily mean your mother is influential, but that she influences your life a lot, for better or worse. I have never seen a 10th moon native that does not have strong feelings about the mother ... I am not sure how you feel about yours. IP: Logged |

You can read the descriptions online but I'll give you what applies to me that are not typically said. I have sun and mercury in 10th and I am awfully aware of how people perceive me in the public. Mercury there might mean your sibling played the role of parent (which applies to my case). You probably want to be your own boss, worry a lot about your career and do not always have a good relationship with the authority (hence the need to be your own authority). ALl 10th sun people are very career-driven. And given that you have 10th mars, you will probably be even more career driven. You'd decide on a course of action and go with it, sometimes doggedly IP: Logged |

Enneline, Is your Moon in Aries also conjunct the Midheaven?I also have Moon in the 10th, which is in Scorpio and exactly on the Midheaven. I definitely think that Moon in the 10th is different than Moon in the 1st. The 1st House is more about the persona you create while the 10th House is the reputation you build for yourself through your public actions. I think 1st House Moons are much more emotionally impulsive, mostly because the 1st House's expression can be either public or private. It's obviously seen by people, but not to such an exposed degree. To me, 1st House Moons are moodier in their ways and do wear their hearts on their sleeves. 10th House Moons, on the other hand, can also come off as quite vulnerable but I wouldn't say it showing your feelings to the world, per se. The 10th House is about structure, so 10th House Moon feels like "there's a time and a place." The Moon sign's expression here is often more mature. You have an instinct (Moon) for how you're coming off to the world (10th House) that allows you to project the most appealing qualities of your Moon. This, however, takes an attitude of responsibility to develop. You have to become a mature adult to find and hone this instinct, as the 10th House is about the qualities we mature into and develop as we take responsibility for our actions. Basically, as you mature and develop your career, you're not going to project the Moon qualities that make you "look bad." With my Moon in Scorpio, for example, I focus on projecting more of the passion and strength and insightfulness of my Moon to the world. I make a conscious decision now to stay away from the paranoid, suspicious, distrustful traits of the sign, which I think has allowed me to project an energy in public that people respond to more positively. The Moon is where we're comfortable and let our guard down. So, getting over the negative qualities of my Scorpio Moon has allowed me to really relax a lot more in public and be more open with others. I let the situation flow (Moon) now. Doing so has allowed me to embody my Moon more FOR the public, which is what planets in the 10th House represent. It's the role we'll play for the world. So, I know how to get people to let their guard down and open up more. I deal with people in ways that are personalized and perceptive, getting to the core of who they are. The functions of the 10th House planet(s) are eventually to be used in the person's career. So, Moon in the 10th House has a career that involves caregiving or the feelings of themselves and/or others. Therefore, we come to be known by the public as caring, vulnerable, insightful, emotionally honest, and/or deep, without letting our feelings explode all over the place like Moon in the 1st. I see this in myself in my career as an artist and LOTS of people who have Moon in the 10th go into the arts. It's actually the perfect symbolism because it gives us a structured place (10th House) to be vulnerable and expose our feelings (Moon). Long response, I know. But, does any of that resonate? ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |

Ok, that's true. I have strong feelings about my mother but she's not influential at all

I have my Sun in Gemini in 10th exact on my midheaven, which is a hard placement IMO. I never know what I'm going to get, how to act, but I do know that I'm always mindful of how I'm perceived. I also have Jupiter right on the cusp on 10th/11th and IMO, all I get out of it is career opportunities. 8th,10th,and 12th house planets confuse me. IP: Logged |

Something else too is that since your 10th house (public) is the same as your sun sign (self), you might be a bit insecure and aware when you were younger and as you grow older, you'd be a lot more self-assured about how others view you. Of course if you have several hard aspects and are young, you might not have grown into your MC yet but this makes it easier for self awareness because the world really makes sure that you know who you are and how you come off. (Ha!) Where the sun rules ( look for leo house cusp) would now be input in the public. For example my aqua sun is in 10th. I have leo in 4th house. My "home" life is work. You can apply the same rule for your mars and mercury. Since you have a stellium in 10th, you would definitely feel the pulse towards workaholism through these areas of your chart. IP: Logged |

Thank you!! Well leo is my sun sign and I have it in the 10th house. I'm fourteen, so I'm still young?

I would say that any planet in 10th means that the side of the personality that is covered by the planet feels more at ease, more in domicile, when it is invested into career, status, work, etc.I have Sun in the 10th, so my ego would feel most at ease if it was invested into work and career. In other words, and using what somebody said to me on here, I would feel most happy if I was "the specialist", for instance. That's kind of a problem when I'm more lazy and sensitive than not, but yeah. IP: Logged |

One of my very best friends has a libra stellium in 10h: Pluto, Mars, Venus & Mercury. Her sun is in virgo conjuncting mc. She's really extremely vain, people have to think and talk well about her & she is ambitious but she has having a kind of hard time finding her real career choice IP: Logged |

i have sun, mars, mercury, venus, uranus, and pluto all conjunct in the 10th right off the MC, just the moon is the major one that is in a different house. they are all within 6 degrees of each other. career and social standing are highly important and they pretty much come before people and relationships. a packed 10th house will put a lot of focus on career, how others see you/how you want to be seen, and is a great position for people who aspire to be in the public eye and well-known for something. if you're lucky enough to have the moon in a favorable position it also adds money to the mix, in a good way - your career will lead to financial successes in some way. the downside... you have to be very cautious about mixing business with pleasure since most romances will stem from the workplace or work associates IP: Logged |

Yeah, well, Moon conjunct the Midheaven is more powerfully expressed. It's more dominant because the Moon is actually connected by aspect to the Midheaven. When the Moon is just in the 10th, there are a lot of similarities but it's less overwhelming. Whenever a planet's conjunct the angle, it has a very dominant influence on the person's life. To the point where working out and conquering the themes of the planet are a part of the destiny. In the case of the Moon conjunct the Midheaven, working out any issues around nurturing, vulnerability, expressing feelings and needs, etc. is a part of the destiny. How well the person's able to do this makes or breaks them. Whereas when a planet's simply in an angular house, without conjunction, the effect is less dominant and pressing. ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |
