One way to find your midpoints:

Enter birth data astro.com. Go to the Chart Drawing Style option and scroll down to Ebertin style (w. midpoints), then click on Additional Tables (PDF) above the chart. Scroll down to Midpoints in Zodiacal Order (you'll have to know your planet glyphs to read this...a bit of a challenge for newcomers to astrology.)

My midpoints:

Sun/moon: 17 Aquarius
Moon/Saturn: 24 Taurus
Mercury/Jupiter: 10 Pisces
Venus/Mars: 11 Virgo
Jupiter/Saturn: 8 Gemini
Mars/Uranus: 26 Leo
Jupiter/Neptune: 14 Aquarius
Saturn/Pluto: 6 Virgo

0bservations:

1. Sun/moon @ 17 Aquarius

quote:
The sign placement of your Sun / Moon midpoint will reveal your overall character. The house placement of your Sun / Moon midpoint will show which life area is most essential to your happiness, health and wellbeing.

A few people here have told me that I seem more like an Aquarius than a Capricorn; I thought my progressed sun in Aqua and Aqua Mercury may explain it, but here's another thing.

Sun/moon MP falls into my 7th house, yes, very important for my happiness.

2. Moon/Saturn @ 24 Taurus

quote:
Represents the inter-functional relationship of identification and adaptation expressed in its most operative and concrete manner.

I don't know what they mean by that.

3. Mercury/Jupiter @ 10 Pisces

quote:
Represents the externalization of individual powers of creative and associative participation within social sphere.

I like that! Matches my listening skills and how I find ways to connect with strangers on a rather deep level.

4. Venus/Mars @ 11 Virgo

quote:
Sensitivity to people and situations, a person's manner of approaching a situation.

Right, so I approach a situation both pragmatically (Virgo) and spiritually (Pisces.) This feels right.

5. Jupiter/Saturn @ 8 Gemini

quote:
The type of experiences a person has.

Heavy emphasis on verbal transactions in my life; I was a literature major and spend more time writing than most of my friends do.

6. Mars/Uranus @ 26 Leo

quote:
This point forces the most intense and focus toward external change.

Interestingly, this midpoint is conjunct my husband's Mars and Pluto. And yes, marriage to him has changed my outward circumstances quite dramatically, in every area.

quote:
Inverse - The point most directed toward internal change.

That would be @ 26 Aquarius. Exactly conjunct Eckhart Tolle's sun, and he's my favorite spiritual author.

7. Jupiter/Neptune @ 14 Aquarius

quote:
Manner of reorientation operative in a person's life, the point of external release.
Inverse Midpoint - The point of release for internal/spiritual reorientation.

Arg, what's that mean? How many times are we supposed to be "reorienting" anyway? *scratches head*

I guess one could say that over time I've learned to embrace my eccentricities more (Aqua) and therefore I'm more comfortable about flaunting them (Leo.)

8. Saturn/Pluto @ 6 Virgo

quote:
The point of the most operative concrete refocus of energies and consciousness in a person's life.

(Why does the author re-use the "re" prefix so much? I don't get it.)

Anyhoo, I suppose this correlates with my strong desire to apply whatever I learn to practical service solutions (then again I have a 6H sun; it's only to be expected.)

Also, this MP is exactly conjunct my husband's Venus and I devote a lot of energy to pleasing him.

quote:
Inverse Midpoint - the awareness of the process of refocalization in ones consciousness.

Uh huh, with my all-seeing Pisces eye, I notice that I am noticing myself noticing.
