Hi, everyone! I'm fairly new to this forum, so I apologize for not knowing too much. Anyway, I just going over my chart and noticed that my (pisces) moon is to the 29.53 degree, which is extremely close to Aries. Does this mean I have some kind of Aries influence or something? Does this have any significance at all? Thanks!

The Moon and house position are of the most importance. And unless your time is off, the Moon is in Pisces at the time of your birth.

The only "Aries" influence could be if the Moon is in the 1st house.Or there is a conjunction to Mars.

Hey. This is funny, you have exactly the same Moon position degree wise and I have your dilemma too. But do you feel/act Arian in the first place? If you do, you should look at your Mars. If it's prominent (aspects personal planets/is in a Mars-friendly sign or house) this could be the reason. First house stellium would be also worth noting. Tell me what your Mars is doing.

Btw, any Aries placements?

Yeah, I was just wondering about the Aries thing. I don't know if I actually have any Aries traits. But, they say that 0 degrees and 29 degrees are important in astrology. How so? Anyway, I don't really have much Aries in my chart at all. I have Aries in the 4th house, but that's it. My Mars is in Scorpio, so nothing really important there.
I have a Moon trine Mars, a Mercury square Mars, and a Venus square Mars. I honestly have no idea what most of this stuff means.

Get your vedic chart (astro.com whole signs & hindu/lahiri selections)

Read your moon.
then look up your Nakshatra sign.
it will tell you more about your moon

Hi Selenafae96 ... I'm learning too!

"29.53 degrees" ... is actually 30th Degree of the zodiac.

Think of the degrees like whole dollars (paper) and the minutes like "cents" (coins).

So! If you went shopping, and your bill totals to 29.53 ($29.53), you would need to give the cashier (in whole dollars) 30 ($30 in paper) to cover the whole degree (dollar) amount.

If you buy something in a vending machine that costs 1.25, and you only give it 1.00, it won't give you your product...

each sign is 30 degrees but no planet will be at 30 degrees, the closest someone could come is 29'59. you cannot actually round up without being in the next sign, at 0. if she rounds up she would change moon signs. the best thing to do, when this close, is verify the birth time in as many ways as possible, because the difference of 1-2 minutes would mean everything to the moon position.

Well, I do know that I was born at exactly 3:59PM. It always weirds me out that if I was born a couple minutes later, I could have been an Aries moon.. But, thanks! So, I'm just a normal Pisces moon then?

30th degree of space is the place where the planet or object at 29+ would travel or 'occupy' ... like the marshmallow floating inside a cup of hot cocoa ... or the space or sky-zone that an aircraft enters jurisdiction of for air-traffic control towers

at least, that's how I'd imagine it?

Hey I am a 29 degree pisces moon too! My dad used to tell me that I was born exactly in the last degree of pisces moon, so I always knew that, but didnt knew my exact birth time. I have asked my parents a couple of times when exactly I was born, but they dont agree with a couple of minutes. My dad have forgot exactly when I was born, so I dont know exactly how far into the 29 degree I am, but I am that degree that is for sure!

I have nothing aries in my chart, and my moon is in my 10th house, opposite my mars and sun in virgo.

I do feel like an aries at times though! It could also be my mars, because it conjuncts sun and opposites moon, but in stressed out situations I am likely to stay very calm actually, and raise my power level so I become much more of an aries type... I become like the ultimate leader/survivor, very arian-like:P I think personally its because the moon is on the cusp to being aries, that sometimes I just get a little of its energy?? It could be something else though, cause 99% of the times I feel like a pisces moon

How do you behave in really stressed out/life threatening situations?

lol - I doubt know why there is a warning, but they do male it seem like something terrible will happen.

I think because it's not the western astrology charts that most people come for and they don't want the emails saying "this is not right! "

A Nakshatra will further define your moon within about 10 degrees, once you know your Nakshatra you, can break it down even further into a pada, within a few degrees.

hey, i am also a virgo sun! my moon is in the third house though. in stressed out situations, i know i don't stay calm at all. usually, i overthink the situation, and it stresses me out even more, and sometimes i end up in tears. i've always been kind of too emotional. none of my planets are in aries, but i do have aries in the 4th house.. what's your rising sign?

quote:
Gretchen Lawlor, astrologer
Moon in Pisces

The Moon in Pisces child, being a Water sign, is highly sensitive, imaginative, and impressionable. They do well in a home and family that appreciates the arts and enjoys playing with the imagination. Some form of spiritual direction in their early years will endure as a source of comfort for their whole lives. A sense of connection with a guardian angel can provide grounding and solace that is lacking in the material world for these children.

Moon in Pisces tends to be an emotional sponge, easily becoming waterlogged by the feelings of others around them. They need their own private place in the family home, preferably their own bedroom, where they can retreat and recover from the impressions of life they so easily collect. Without periodic withdrawal these children may resort to escape through excess, excess television or computer games, or excesses in food (or even drugs or alcohol as they grow older).

If you have a Pisces Moon child who seems disconnected from reality, they are likely to be in a state of overload. These are children who may have trouble discerning reality from fantasy, be careful about what they read and what they watch on television. Their imagination is an important part of them and needs to be nourished, with respect for their extreme impressionability. Help them with their boundary making. You may need to teach them to care for themselves by modeling boundary-making for them, or stepping in when you see your child awash and in overload.

These are children who feel for the underdog, and who literally may bring home stray animals to care for. Moon in Pisces finds comfort in tending to the wounds of others, and are instinctive healers, especially to emotional wounding. This is a wonderful trait, a precursor to their later dedication to causes and issues having to do with suffering.

I was "mom" to a very unique and most-beautiful hearted child, whose Moon is 29.34' in her Pisces 12th. The entire article sums the experience very aptly...

So do you also have moon opposite sun? I have that placement too... but it is interesting that in stressed out situations you get very emotional... but I guess it depends on what kind of situation it is? If I'm in a social situation where I get stressed out or pushed, I'm also likely to burst into tears (or I used to do that but not anymore), but in seriously life threatening situations or situations that needs a very quick action, I am really quick to react.... do you react quickly, or do you always have to analyse the situation first and then make a move, long time after everyone else? I dont know if this correct, but I always consider aries traits as someone who act quickly with lots of power

My own interpretation of the 29th degree, which may or may not resonant with you, is that it's as if the sign has been told it only has so much time to live. It's near its final hours and it now desperately wants to make the most out of its time before it dies and reincarnates as the next sign.

So, your Pisces Moon can be very deeply driven to accomplish and fulfill all of its Pisces pursuits and needs, as it's right on the edge of dying and turning into an Aries Moon, which would give it an entirely new life and motivations. This drive can be very urgent and quite desperate, as if there's only so much time left. But, there can also, with personal growth and awareness, come a sense of peace and serenity around the themes of the sign (the Pisces Moon, in your case). The 29th degree is the wisest degree of the sign. It's been through all the phases of that energy and is now looking back on its life peacefully and with contentment. So, the energy of that sign, at 29 degrees, can be expressed either very urgently or in a very Zen way.

Hope that makes sense. I think in metaphors, sometimes.

And no, I don't think it gives it an Aries influence. A sign is a sign is a sign, to me. I don't really believe in cusps. I just think the very late or very early degrees will give the sign a different expression than the ones more in the middle.
