Guys...I just discovered something else dirty about myself.I have a beautiful Mercury in Leo (albeit square Pluto from the 3rd House) that allows me to wield my powerful opinions without much dissent from my social media peers. With the Ferguson Riots and such happening I have taken to all three of my social media accounts (Gemini Moon) to express my ever changing thoughts on the situation. But in a blinding moment of truth last night I discovered something...I don't think I care about anything happening. I think I just like arguing with people and beating them over the head with my perceived superior opinions. FOR RESEARCH PURPOSES:
Mercury in Leo
Mercury Square Pluto
Pluto in Third House

I do that too! Argue a point, or several at the time, just to prove that I have superior argumentative skills. And I do. I can sell shoes to a shoe store..or completely get people off their mark by confusing them with words and sentences they can't even begin to untangle. And I too, don't think I care.
I have Mercury sq Pluto, a progressed moon in Gemini and a Sidereal Gem Moon and Mercury. I have Mercury as chart ruler but Uranus as overall ruler.

Leo people love getting attention, they think it's their due. Having your Mercury on leo probably make you want your opinion to be mattered or at least to be heard. Added to that Pluto aspect which enjoy power play. I have the opposition, and I can relate with what you said.
Pluto also about depth, about understanding the issue at its core. You should try to manifest this energy to reach your potential  IP: Logged |

I would say its less superiority and more inferiority that causes this for you. Leo's are strongly opinionated yet Cancer in the background is more sensitive and unsure at times. Strong fire/water splits in a chart will give an inferior stance...its strength, confidence, ability and strength meets sensitive, unsure, less confident and inferiority is often a result (especially pisces/cancer placements). I wouldn't call it dirty though and it is rather easy to become aware of, definitely something a person can work with. Just my opinion but you may want to read up on inferiority, how it manifests itself and how it can we smoothed over which is doable. It could be something else but from what you're saying it seems to fit and as I said not the hardest thing to deal with or smooth over as I said.
