I'm not positive, but I think a prominent Poseidonas often contributes. Anybody with any experiences?

"Unhealthy" Virgo.
"Unhealthy" being up for debate.

But what kind of paranoia?
Like think someone is spying on you through the fire sprinkler system or letting worries turn to fear and panic kind of thing?

I was just gonna bring up that it seems to be the terrain of shadow/afflicted Virgo!

...

But this is your expertise, DF. So speak on!

I agree.

I'm not sure if cap and scorpio thrown in the mix would amplify it. Maybe cancer too. Depending on the kind of paranoia.

I'm paranoid when it comes to people. Friends and my lover and just people I have to deal with. I think paranoia of other people's intentions is definately more cancer and scoprio.

For fear in the sense that someone is watching or something that seems like virgo.

Well I think that I might just do that.

In my case.
Virgo Venus/mars/mercury with mars/mercury square a Gemini moon. (And others but meh)
Virgo 12th.

Emotionally charged things can be very very difficult depending specifically on what it is. In some situations I'm very much the cool-headed or occasionally even cold person.
But I can't think of specifics there.

I'll move on to love. When love would come knocking on my door. There comes a point when I begin to feel that my emotional investment is very high. I feel that my heart begins to lay in the hands of someone else. My heart is delicate. I'm soooooooo much better now but I would just kind of panic.
"Do they really understand my feelings?
How much value have they given my feelings?
Does that value match mine?
What will I do if they crush it?
Will I be able to pick the pieces up?
Do I dare give more or pull back?
Etc"

It's like 500 questions and scenarios that are on spin cycle until you're spinning in circles yourself.

Before long.... It's complete nonsense.
It does pass.

Virgo likes to know things and if there's a question, they want to answer it. Some things can't be answered and to Virgo, it's hell. They don't like not knowing and can spark mayhem inside.

For me, the idea of someone watching or spying does not bother me. Oddly... I might actually give that to the 12th. With subconscious and things of that nature. I'm acutely aware that even if I was someone's prisoner, to be extreme, I know that I have a lot deep inside me that no one will ever see.

That kind of paranoia I've actually seen in some sags of all people.

I feel neptune gives delusions and pluto paranoia and obsession, combine them together and you have paranoid delusions.

Perhaps virgo if the above is already in the chart can contribute bc they get stuck in details but only if the above is present already in the chart.

I am not talking about been suspicious and on the alert; I am talking about clinical paranoia or paranoia personality disorder.

I was also going to bring this combination up. Squares/Oppositiong from these two planets to Sun, Moon, Mercury and ASC can definitely imply a paranoid personality.

OK. Actually I know someone since childhood who is this way. Clinically diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia.

Heads up, Scorpio with Taurus moon.
I can throw up their chart if you want?

And include asteroids if you tell me which ones. (Preferably with numbers)

They actually did think someone was spying via the fire sprinkler system. Went out, pried on it and set it off.
When they one day threatened to kill their own son with a pen that was the last straw I guess.

On a lighter note, I don't mean to make fun exactly. The acts are kind of funny but in reality this person is like family to me. I care about them very much and am really glad that they have help and have been pretty normal for years. Very giving person.

Add in a great amount of Wrath too while we're at it. And DeepFreeze a chart might help, thank you. No asteroids in particular, but the Asteroid Goddesses (1,2,3,4,5), Lilith (h21), and h57 & h49 might hold some answers

Thank you, DeepFreeze
I'm not seeing a whole lot in common here... just Hestia(4 Vesta) in 4H and an emphasis on Cancer

Funny you should say, as Artemis (moon) is in 12H, and Poseidonas is in Sagittarius. Water is also predominate.
Also Virgo DSC, and Hera(3 Juno) and a conjunction with Ares.

Cancer stellium, Ouranos and Priapos in Scorpius... sounds right, but Capricornus is absent

Humor is a powerful tool for processing these things. I think it's very important and good that you have it.

With paranoia, would you use the twelfth house to decipher how it manifests? For example, the sign in the house, the planets in the house, and the location and aspects of it's ruling planet?

Thanks for the thought, Kundalicious, I would think so, given 12H rules the end, fears, and things like that. And then paranoia could be considered self-undoing.

I agree. Depending on aspects and many factors but seems 12th related.

Just to be a little resourceful, a book I have says Neptune first of all and Saturn.

Kronos (6H) opposing Artemis (12H) then? I don't think that's very good.

And if I knew birth time that could change a lot.
That could be key here.
