And is Pluto in the 5th sort of the equivalent to having Mars in the 7th, i.e. brings a lot of conflict in relationships?

I have both Pluto in the 5th and Mars in the 7th haha Lucky me!

I don't really see them as similar though. The 5th house is not technically about relationships, or at least not about - established relationships. The classic keywords for the 5th house are: arts, creativity, fun/hobbies, dating, casual sex etc.
Pluto in the 5th can come across as very intense and serious in areas where others are relaxed and having fun. They might take their hobbies very seriously for instance.. or they might put a lot of energy and work into an artistic field. Plus, both men and women with this placement might never have casual sex at all.

I could see their general intensity levels - being a problem in a relationship with a more lighthearted person. But I normally attract people who are pretty Plutonian themselves, so they like me as I am. It depends on who you are with.
If this aspect brings conflict, I'd say it would be you who initiates it, because you might feel the other person is too false, superficial, cold and not matching your depth.

About love triangles - I can't say I attract them... I have Venus opposite Pluto which is not exactly like Moon/Pluto.
Usually, Moon/Pluto attracts, and is attracted to, a serious partner who knows what they want.
But your Mars is in Gemini... so this could attract a Gemini-type of guy. On the negative side of that, I guess they could be two-faced, sleeping around and dishonest.

Really? Interesting... I saw Pluto and Mars as similar because they're both very strong planets and invite conflict of some kind. Sure, the 5th house is about flings and not real relationships but it's all the same to me, other people.

As for having both you're a special case, lol! But you attract Plutonian people moreso... I guess that would mean Pluto overrides Mars, but you also have Venus square Pluto too.

You're right! I attract a lot of majorly fire people and they're intense, but not about bonding if that makes sense. So I end up not trusting them and thinking they're out with someone else, like someone better, etc. but that could be my Saturn squares too. I thought Moon opp. Pluto in the 5th, specifically would attract love triangles because Moon is in the 11th house indicating an easy time with friendships with women, but opposing Pluto in the 5th house of romance. Since Pluto is about secrets and opposing Moon (in a house where you make your friends) it makes sense to me you would see two girls (Moon) fighting over the same guy (Pluto) with someone who has it.

What about Mars in the 7th by itself attracting love triangles? That's like Venus / Mars and would attract conflict, right? I guess it would moreso than Pluto by itself in the 5th since Mars is the warrior and all.
