Earth is the exact degree of your Sun but in the opposite sign. (If in doubt, look it up in your heliocentric chart.)I was wondering if this point in your chart is grounding for you, being that it represents Earth from the perspective of the Sun. Or if any individuals who have planets there bring some sort of grounding energy to you, even though it is opposite to your own Sun. Perhaps not... Just a thought for exploration. IP: Logged |

Lol, yeah, I agree. This is pretty much the exact theory I came up with for the Earth... and also ruling Taurus. IP: Logged |

Haha, I probably read your theory, forgot about it, and then resurfaced them from my subconscious memory. IP: Logged |

I lol'd because I thought you came to the same realization as me. I'm not sure if you read it before or not, but it's nice to see someone else that thinks the same about it IP: Logged |

This is what I said on a past thread:"*Taurus - Venus & Earth Since the Earth is opposite of your Sun sign, then your Sun sign is looking toward your Earth sign, and I have a theory that it's looking toward it to find security and stability (Taurus) to complement it's willpower and consciousness. (Sun) Also, since Earth is opposite the Sun, it can mean your Earth is the building of your self; stabilization... meaning your Sun is your self, and you start to look toward your Earth for the guidance and transformation of your self. They are opposite from each other, so it's also like how opposite signs look towards each other. Just like how the self needs to feel worthy, they look toward the Earth; which rules Taurus. So maybe that can give a reason why it can be associated with the 2nd House of self-worth. Because we try to become that, we try to become worthy in our own sense of self. The self gets inflated, (Sun) so it needs the Earth to ground it and show how much it's really worth. Another way you can look at it is we're trying to build upon (the Sun) a better foundation (looks to Earth) to live on the Earth with other people. (if the Earth can indeed have an astrological influence on us, which is why this theory can kinda complement that because if only planets around us have an astrological influence, (Geocentric) then this helps bridge the gap because it isn't technically giving us the influence from afar, but rather the Sun and Earth are complementing each other, which is why they are the exact same degrees, but just opposite from each other. So one can automatically know their Earth sign from their Sun sign and does not need to look at a calculated chart or ephemeris, unlike other planets) For example, I have a Virgo Sun and Pisces Earth, so I'm looking toward my Earth to learn to be more imaginative and intuitive rather than being so calculating and logical. I'm trying to ground myself with a higher understanding of spirituality, imagination, creativity and intuition so that I can thrive on the right hemisphere of the brain (Pisces/Neptune/Jupiter) as I do with the left hemisphere of the brain. (Virgo/Mercury/Vulcan) Just like the Virgo/Pisces axis. Or however you personally interpret the Virgo/Pisces axis, (or any sign axis you're using for the Sun/Earth opposition) then that is how ones Sun and Earth work. I mean, if the Sun can rule over a sign, why couldn't the Earth as well, right? Taurus is also the most earthiest of the earth signs, so it also seems fitting." IP: Logged |

Anyway, can you give examples from charts how this point influences us when activated? I know that Sun signs when opposite can be difficult but when the Sun is opposite and activating this point it's seems as if the differences and challenges disappear with less effort. IP: Logged |

Well I'm not sure of any charts I can give an example for, but yeah, that makes sense, as the person's Sun is conjunct the other person's Earth, and the other person's Sun is conjunct the other person's Earth, so it's a transfer of stabilizing energies going to work there. IP: Logged |

Oops, you beat me to it. Great read. I like your ideas. It makes sense how this point in a chart is where to look for balance. Just what I need. IP: Logged |

Yeah... the "love of my life" (aka soul mate, twinflame, whatever you wanna call it) had his sun-jupiter exactly opposite my sun. So interesting theory! IP: Logged |

That's an interesting thing when you think about Sun opp in synastry. How would you interpret opposing Suns in synastry from this perspective?------------------
