Usually venus and the moon in a man's chart represents the kind of woman he likes.. But does this also goes for their progressed charts? Since the moon and venus could be in other signs.. Or does this only count for birthcharts?

Ok, I have nVenus 2° Cancer Rx. By progression, my pVenus has been in Gemini my entire life (well, since before I turned 5 years old anyway). I'm 50 years old, and pVenus is now direct and should reenter Cancer in another year or two for me.

My "type" has always been Cancers and Capricorns, with Leos (nMoon), Scorpios (Asc), and Gemini (pVenus, but also nSun and nMercury) coming in behind the first two. Furthermore, my relationships with Gemini gals have by and large been more "friendly" than serious.

So in my case at least, if pVenus is influencing, its not nearly as strong as nVenus.

Interesting!

Do you think his venus or moon is more important for a man to decide if he likes a woman?

I think Venus.
But it's not so cut and dry either.
I have Venus in Virgo in 12th house.
Gemini moon in 9th

Of all of those things, I crave and am drawn much more strongly to things related in any way to my 12th house. (12th/Pisces and perhaps Neptune)

Virgo is love and hate. Enough hate that I wouldn't give them a chance.

I love Gemini but I like it when they are also moon (or Gemini moon 'like') and are able to talk, be silly, and laugh with me. If they dominate and I can never get a word in or what should be a 2 minute story takes 20 minutes I get annoyed. (so I should annoy myself then?!? ) I like fellow air moons in general.

Sag (because of my 9th house moon) ummmm...
Starts out love, ends up hate. LOL
In romance that is.

Due to aspects, signs etc, yeah, it might be related to Venus or moon but you might have to kind of follow the bread crumbs to understand how it traces back to Venus or moon.

I think it's different for progressed because I don't see it as a replacement for natal.
It's almost like a phase in a sense. An "astrological mood" I kind of see it as.

My last ex had Venus in Aquarius. He was looking for an independent woman who could act as a friend. He didn't want a clingy girl that is all about romance. He also liked a woman who has spirit and who is opinionated. Mental stimulation was his priority.

He had a Cancer moon, so he also craved romance and sensitivity. It heavily depended on his mood. He could either be detached (Aquarius) or all in (Cancer). He wanted a woman who can strike a balance between the two. He preferred "chill" girls as opposed to demanding drama queens. Most of his exes weren't very girly, they were the chill kind.

However, he has a Pisces Sun so he's always attracted to very feminine girly girls. Usually those girls a bit too "high maintenance" for his taste and he therefore dates girls he's not very attracted to but who can let him do his own thing.

He was a contradiction. I'm glad we're not dating. He would have driven me insane in the long run. He made no sense because he didn't know what he wanted in a woman. One thing I'm sure of, he was looking for a mean b*tch. He told me himself. He doesn't want a doormat.

I'm a Scorpio Sun/Venus and Cancer rising. I'm very feminine but not overly sensitive due to my Gemini moon. I don't have a romantic bone in my body. We clicked mentally/physically but emotionally, I realize it was not going to work.

*I'm using the past tense because we haven't spoken in a year so I have no clue what's he's looking for anymore*

My man have Venus in Virgo, and I can tell you, he does NOT like those type of woman at all.
He likes well developed figure women, with larger breast and a-s-s. I have that looks, and he can't keep his eyes off me.
I know for sure thin/skinny women won't turn him on. He likes the Cancer women looks, he needs "meat" on the woman body.

Maybe because of his Taurus Rising, or Pisces Moon. But I know it can't be his Virgo Venus.

I'm the same way.
Venus Virgo.

Mars also contribute to physical attraction. This is not often said because astrology is so gendered but as a woman, my venus factors into the kinds of guys I'm attracted to as much as my mars
