I have this dilemma lol.

What sort of planetary or astrological hocus pocus that might cause this?

Very interested to find answers and see if some of them are in my chart

------------------
Gemini Rising
Sun in Leo (2nd house)
Moon in Cancer (1st house)
Mercury in Virgo (3rd house conj.)
Venus in Virgo (3rd house)
Mars in Libra (5th house)

I find there are certain ranges that I'm more likely to attract. For instance

Aprox. 5 years older than me:
Pluto conj my Ura, sq my Merc and Vertex
Nodes square Nodes

Approx 6 years younger than
Nodes sq my vertex and conj my Ura and Sat
Pluto trine my Mars

Is there a pattern you your age differences?

I've noticed that Leo energy loves younger mates.

I would look at the generational planets and the aspects you make to them.

For example -

My Venus squares the Saturn of people born late Summer-late fall of 1990 to about 1-2 degrees sometimes less than 1.

Over and over despite attraction there's always a complete block or a delay with my romances with these people.

I also dated a woman about 5 years older than me and she mentioned she tends to attract the 1988 crowd to her. Her Sun trines our 1988's Pluto. The personal planets tell how the interaction plays out but she does tend to meet people of this year more often than not due to that Sun-Pluto energy

Omg I never thought about that. So far, I have attracted people who were born in 1998 the most. My Sun is in 8 deg Leo and their Pluto would be in 7 or 8 deg Sagittarius. It would always form trines with my Sun. Also, their Pluto would be square my Venus in Virgo 9 deg.

I don't have any of the aspects you listed, but I noticed I attract people who are 7-8 months (born the year after my birth year) younger than me.

Ya. It took me awhile to realize this too. I kept wondering on how the outer planets played out in synastry. Well, I think we're on to it :P

Is Venus in Virgo conjunct Mercury?

What I see is Venus in 3rd house as well as the ruler of the 3rd(Mercury)in the its own house(very potent) being the likely cause.

Mercury is known for being very "youthful".And Venus is what we attract and what we are attracted to. If they are conjunct, then case closed!!!

I have Mars in Libra/Venus in 7(in its "natural" house) and I attract Libra/Taurus people quite a bit:People who present themselves well(or make a conscious effort to).

Yes, my Venus is conjunct Mercury but it's a wide orb for a conjuction.. about 4 degrees. That makes sense though, thanks.

Whoa! You all are pointing out some great observations. I tend to draw people in the 70's and people in 1989 to early 90s. I notice that with the 70's folks, the Uranus in Scorpio, Saturn in Taurus or Cancer seems to go nicely with my Pisces Personal planets. The 89-90's babies have that strong Capricorn influences in the planets of Saturn, Uranus and Neptune which really helps me form strong and stable relations with them, which I love. I am born in 1981 and for some reason, I don't seem to get on well with my fellow '80 babies too well due to Neptune and Uranus being in Sagittarius because its waay too harsh or deceptive with my Pisces planets.

Could be!
I haven't sought out younger people, but that's just where things landed you might say. I've often wondered.

I'm Leo sun sextile Gemini moon which probably adds to it.

It hasn't at all been uncommon for a 10+ year age gap. (Them younger)

Well reading more I also have Mercury/Venus and in Virgo, though VERY loosely.

Thank you! I'm glad people appreciate the observation. It was a revelation for me on a random day so I'm happy to share it!
