Topic: Do you ever feel like your another rising sign?

I'm a libra rising but i swear, lately with all the Leo rising threads, i decided to look up Leo rising traits and physical characteristics. Upon reading traits of Leo Rising, i find myself noticing that i have similar physical traits. Big head, self conscious about hair, take great care of my hair, tall, have a baritone voice, i walk proudly with deep down feeling that i want to be noticed everywhere i go. My hair has a bright shine too it despite most of my family is dark haired. My face is oval, prominent cheekbones with a super wide grin/smile. I'm also very loyal, i'm into sports, i love children, i have a bad temper, etc. Obviously i'm not a Leo Rising cause the house placements fit me to a T, but i just couldn't help but notice so many similarities with me. I hardly have any libra rising traits. What about you guys? Ever feel you don't match up with your ASC? IP: Logged |

I'm a pretty obvious Taurus rising. At first glance people guess I'm either a Taurus or Scorpio (my sun)What planets do you have in the first house? I feel like first house planets definitely morph the ascendant traits. I got Jupiter in the 1st but all it does is make me a Taurus rising who laughs even louder, indulges harder, and requires ridiculous amount of exercise not to gain weight IP: Logged |

I don't understand Vedic properly but it seems to have some gravitas and I would be Libra rising under this - when I read the description a lot fit but there are undeniable Scorpio rising traits so I think my sun opp ascendant might carry those Libra qualities. I think that the theory I've read that we retreat into characteristics of the ascendant under stress sealed it for me.IP: Logged |

Since your chart ruler is Venus, look to its house position, sign, and what is aspecting it. Also, look to where your East Point or Equatorial Ascendant are located (Pullen chart on astro.com). My ASC is Virgo. Mercury is in Scorpio opposite Mars in Taurus. My EQ is Leo. Aside from being petite and somewhat intelligent looking, I look more Plutonic and Leonine. ------------------

Sometimes. I also agree with what lisalisa said but in regards to your progressed moon. My progressed ASC is in Scorpio and I relate with it and my Libra ASC. Do you have any planets in Leo in your progressed chart? That could it explain possibly. IP: Logged |

Maybe you should also look at your Draconic chart? In the Draconic Chart,I am Aquarius Asc,Scorp MC,Libra Sun and Taurus Moon.It's quite fascinating really. If not,the progressed chart or Solar Arc Directions chart. There are so many differing aspects to one's personality that can be easily accessed. It's amazing. IP: Logged |

Check your progress rising..I use to feel I was more outgoing and friendly and natally I have sag rising with moon pisces, my progress moon is in Taurus and my progress rising is in Capricorn; I feel I am less social and more career focused. When I do socialize is at work further reinforced by having natally venus ruling my 11th house and my 6th house in combo with natal sun in the 10th and saturn in the 11th which rules my 2nd....I feel the progress can inhibit certain qualities or exalt them...For example when progress moon moves to Gemini since I have Sag rising natally I would think I will be more social, outgoing and talkative although not excessively bc of the progress rising in cap and my natal sun in virgo... I DO feel like my progressed rising, Scorpio. But my nn is there in natal.
2 degrees apart right now in fact.
But I still feel Leo and Gemini. (Sun/moon)

Not pertaining to the AC exactly, but I've been feeling increasingly more like Gemini in literally every aspect of my life, and then I found out about progressions and it turned out that literally all my personal planets moved into Gemini during the last 10 years!IP: Logged |

I am just about ready to move into a progressed ASC in Capricorn, and I can feel myself becoming more Cap-rising like as I get older. I will transition into Cap ASC right around the time I turn 21, probably a month or two before... so less than a year from now, I'll be making the switch. I think it goes very well with my transition into true 'adulthood' since I am learning how to embody more responsibility like I never have before; it is draining and upsetting to me right now, but I am confident that when my ASC moves into Cap I will be better able to handle responsibilities and financial burdens that come my way. I am getting ready for the transition now and it's tough but it'll pay off. I think the coming transition also reflects on my growing interest in starting my own business or NGO. IP: Logged |

This is more common that you might think. I don't personally have a mixed-up identification as to rising sign, but have worked with plenty of people's charts who can relate. Don't be so sure about your chart's Asc being determined by house placements. The Asc rules the head/body/personality and is the anchoring point for the horoscope. There are numerous ways that your life can align with factors that would appear to be due to house placements. Planetary aspects are an example. Besides, the aspect of Pluto conjunct Asc is a powerful one that adds fixity to any Asc. If the aspect is truly there and tight it overrides a lot of typical Libran qualities, presenting what are actually opposite qualities (urges). Read more about Leo and Libra rising...

I feel like a Scorpio rising instead of libra, I'm not a people pleaser, I'm more introverted and I observe more. I love black clothing, and have piercing eyes. But then again I can see the libra in me, hate conflict, I take pride in my appearance, indecisive. There's a lot of other factors to consider in a chart though, my chart ruler is in the 4th, so I guess that's why I'm more introverted. IP: Logged |
