Hello everyone!

I have a question regarding the planets in my 10th house and 6th house. There is a strong emphasis on "career" and work in my chart, which I find very strange because I have no clue at all what to do with my life.

I have Uranus, North Node, Neptune and Lilith in my 10th house. Saturn is on the 10th house cusp.

And Mercury, Sun, Mars and Jupiter in my 6th.

I never had a clear idea of what to do in life (I'm 23) even though all my friends have college degrees and I'm always the one never finding something to be passionate about. I'm very afraid of the future and how to adjust in "daily life".

Does somebody else recognize these planet positions and what are your experiences with them?

Thank you all alot!

I have a Scorpio stellium (Sun, Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, Pluto) in my 6th house. My 6th house is ruled by Libra. Venus is also my chart ruler. My Venus is in Scorpio. Scorpio rules my 7th house.

So as you can see, a lot definitely takes place on the job.

I am very habit-oriented and if I'm not working, I feel worthless and depressed. I have a desire to be productive and useful. I take pride in the work I do, especially if I have to present it to others.

I had to learn self-control when it came to helping people because I would get taken advantage of 90% of the time. All that obsessive Scorpio energy in the house of service definitely made me a pushover in a way.

Since your NN is in yoyr 10th house, that would probably explain why you have no idea what to do with your life. Uranus, the planet of instability and change doesn't help either. I'm still a beginner in astrology, but from what I've read, your NN is your destiny or what you're supposed to live up to and the house shows the area of life that you will fulfill your purpose. I would relax. Don't worry about it. You're doinv exactly what you're supposed to be doing at this point in your life. Whatever you end up doing with your life, it won't ne easy getting there. That's with all of us human beings. Your uncertainty or biggest lessons, blessings, and challenges are just career related. Don't sweat it.

Astrology brings awareness which helps us deal with our many afflictions in out chart. We're always going to have problems. Astrology helps us deal with it a little better in my opinion.

Wow, I have almost the same situation. I have a full sixth house, including moon, Neptune, Uranus, two Liliths, and north node. In the tenth house I have sun and mercury. I have never been super driven career wise. I do have an idea of what I'd like to do with my life, but it's been very slow going. I am twenty three as well and my friends all graduated college last year. Meanwhile I'm still in school and I have a baby which has made it even harder because now I don't want to leave her.

I think what someone else said was right. The north node is where we're going, whereas the south node is where we've been. You probably have a feeling of not knowing what you want to do because the whole career thing is uncharted territory for you. It is part of your life's purpose to find a career that fulfills you.

Also we are both still very very young😊

i have 6 planets in the 10th and up until my mid-20s i was also "what will i do with myself." having a stellium or several planets in either 6th/10th doesn't = knowing what you want to do with your career. it just means having an obsession with career interests. that could even mean researching careers all the time - but still not picking one. it basically means your career, working life, and path is very important, but it doesn't mean you will know what that path is, just that you might obsess about it. it doesn't make it easier to decide, it just gives you more stress when you can't because you're really focused on that area of life. depending upon how many planets you have in those houses, it's really wise to not overthink the career, because you may find that other areas of your life are being less attended to (i.e. romance, family, hobbies)

This is a perfect way of putting it! It makes so much sense. I have been obsessive about it since I was a kid. I started obsessively researching colleges and requesting brochures when I was fourteen. I knew how to get financial aid before I was in tenth grade and my parents didn't go to college so it was all my own research. Obsessive about career is a great way to describe it

Hello Del Rey!

Just had a look at your chart.

Ruler of Ascendant (Aries) in 6th house - This could be your desire to want to live a normal daily life (like your friends), but you don't know how to go about it. If you have a strong work ethic, you could apply this to anything you enjoy. Since it's Mars which is the planet, again possible energy.

Ruler of 6th (Leo) in 6th house - Maybe you can be competitive about what you enjoy doing. It's a strong focus, seeing as it's your Sun which is what is located in the 6th. You searching for a good career, so you can leave a normal daily life. (That's the impression i'm getting).

Ruler of MC (Capricorn) in 11th house - Do you have good friends who are willing to help you? Or even business/career contacts? I don't mean financial help, but might give you ideas of what sorts of careers to go for.

Uranus conjunct MC - that's notorious for stirring everything up! What jobs have you had before? Did you stay at them long?

You say your chart has a strong '6th house' emphasis, but you need to initiate it first!
What sorts of things are you passionate about?

Hope this helps!

Del Rey,

House positions in an untested chart are most often partially wrong. So don't read too much into them.

Study your aspects/signs and maybe even add declinations in there...

Having said that, even planets in the 6th and 10th houses are not a guarantee that you will know what you want to do in terms of vocation or life aims at your age. 23 is still young and we tend to develop more slowly in a more complex, cerebral world than what our parents and grandparents knew.

Sometimes a purpose is built into a soul's choice of such an emphasis in the birth chart -- to urge one in those directions even if it takes a while to get there.

For specific example, you have Neptune conjunct and parallel North Node. This tends to render the sense of forward direction uncertain, as if moving into a fog. It requires faith and a trust in your intuition after having tuned it to your higher purpose. In other words, go with a spiritual guidance and definition for your life purpose instead of conventional vocational/career categories.

I offer the possibility for your consideration that if you pick a volunteer cause that interests you and a creative endeavor these may help you discover what you enjoy doing and release a passion into motion that may surprise you. There are as many routes to finding your passion in life and work that satisfies you as there are people.

You can also put it to a question you focus on before you sleep... "Make it clear to me so I can see and pursue it, what is the best next step in discovering my true talents and passion in life..." Keep a notebook at bedside and write down what comes to you. Persist until you get your answers.

Peace.
