She's very young-looking for her age (just turned 47), very youthful! And yes... That's a piercing under her lip

She's very loud, appears to be extremely social, very witty with strangers! Her best friends are all Air signs. 3 of which are Geminis, 1 Libra, 1 Aquarius! She loves going out to parties, lounges, and socializing. She gets along with many different people but at the same time sudden urges to stay home and keep to herself.

She talks on the phone and gossips a lot. Her sleep cycle is unbelievably strange. She confides in me a lot (I'm a Gemini Moon). I'm like her venting space.

She is also very bossy, very tough, and can crush 1000 men with her stare. She was a business woman in Sudan and all the men feared her. It was unusual for a woman to be so powerful and successful over there.

She's about 5'2, was very into sports as a teenager. Has more of an athletic build but is still rather curvy.

She is also very private, secretive, and enjoys her alone time. Extremely emotional, upsets quickly, but forgets her anger just as quickly. She can get very irrational at times. Her children are like her cubs. She protects us like no other and is VERY attached to us. She has a powerful maternal instinct but is also has an aversion to babies/kids in general. SUPER generous with her money and extremely kind. She's an heiress.

Extremely ambitious but also very hedonistic and into material things. Loves luxury, loves beauty. We always clash in this regard. She's very charismatic, but there's an air of authority surrounding her. She has no problems asserting herself.

She is a Scorpio Sun and Mercury, Cancer Moon, Libra Venus, Capricorn Mars.

Actually, I do. A LOT. She has that kind of humor. Especially the things she does in public. She once yelled at a cafe "I'm glad you all received my invitation. Now you know why we've gathered today."

I will set her ASC as Leo and see where her planets fall and try to analyze it in unison with what I know of her. The reason I thought a Gem ASC would make sense was because of her youthful/childishness, it would put her Moon in the 2nd house which would really make sense, and would also put her Mars in the 10th which also seems rather fitting. Venus in the 5th could give her that Leo feel, especially if it aspects ASC.

She is VERY dramatic at times so I can definitely see why she would be a Leo! She always messes around with people on the street though

@Bella, she's awesome but... Watching her do some of the crazy things she does can be toooooooo much lmfao! Like that classic "Moooooooooom" feeling!

Is that me your describing over there, no on a serious note my first guess would be Libra, but I'm not sure if that's just her Venus that I'm getting that from or what. Gemini or Libra are my guesses, yes her hair is voluminous and beautiful but that isn't necessarily always a Leo trait. Gems and Libras have awesome hair too. A lot of what you're describing sounds like air, especially the socializing bit. Her hairline however I've noticed in SOOOO many Tauruses, they have smaller foreheads.

So, the Leo would put her Moon in the 12th... She is definitely emotionally "out there". Very vocal about her feelings, doesn't hide them whatsoever. It's kind of hilarious when she trips out, actually So I don't see her as having a 12th house Moon.

Thank you Barbie! She's a very interesting character, very fun to observe. I also feel she has a social ASC.

She can strike a conversation with almost anyone too. But can never be mistaken for someone who's weak. I always call her "the customer from hell" LMFAO!

The only other reasonable possibilities (without knowing the full birth data) are Cap rising with Mars conjunct or parallel Asc or Libra rising with Mars square Asc.

I agree that she looks young for her age and very attractive! The quality of looking youthful is not always restricted to Gemini or Virgo on the Asc. People tell my mom she looks young for her age and she is Aries rising as well. This can be from having Moon, Venus or Jupiter in angular aspect to Asc.

I'd set her chart at Aries rising opp. Venus and work with it from there. Forget Leo unless an early degree manages to make a contra-parallel to Mars.

I assume your mother was born on Nov 21, 1967 since that was the only date 47 years ago during the period of the planetary placements you describe. Not knowing her birth location means I cannot give you anything definite. So all this is hypothetical, meaning potentially worthless. Everything depends on the exact location of birth in natal astrology.

Backing up, what everyone who said 'Leo' was picking up on was Fire. Take it to heart. Your mother is a wonderful obvious example of Fire. Those here who said 'Leo' have attributed obvious, overt Fire qualities to that sign, probably because it tends to be more favored and more acclaimed over Aries which tends to get bad-mouthed in sign-based astrology books.

It is true that Gemini types tend to look youthful longer than others. But it is the intensity and fire that must be attached to such an Asc for it to match her. The only such possible Asc in Gemini would be in the very late degrees of Gemini (23 north declination) that would make an contra-parallel to Mars at 23 south. Such an Asc would also be square to Uranus, possibly Pluto which would also fit her intensity.

So my ratings of feasible Ascendants for her without knowing all the birth data are (and assuming I've at least picked the right birth date):

1) mid-Aries square Moon, Mars. This puts her Sun-Neptune conjunction in the vicinity of the 8th house, potentially indicative of her heiress status.

2) late Aries (10-11 north declination) square Mars and/or parallel Jupiter (10N45).

3) 28-29 Sagittarius (23 south) parallel Mars.

4) 28-29 Gemini (23 north) contra-parallel Mars.

Less feasible are 29 or so Leo which would be conjunct/parallel Jupiter and square to her Sun. That's a 'Fire-added' Asc situation.

Also... Wow. Putting her ASC in Aries would make her progressed ASC in Gemini, potentially conjunct my Moon. Which might explain why I find her so Gemini-like.

That location does indeed allow the possibility of Leo in the very last degree, putting Sun-Neptune square her Asc. But not likely...

You can eliminate from the rising position of her chart Taurus, Virgo, Pisces, and now Aries. Even though I hypothetically held that one as most likely, we can strike it. Even though ~23 Cap square Mars is hypothetically possible, we can eliminate that due to your description of her as a social butterfly uninterested in disciplines and work. We can also eliminate late Sag as not possible. Leaving us with...

Mid to late-Gemini is indeed possible in creating a contra-parallel to Mars. Her rounded face outline that narrows at top and bottom still allows easily for a mutable Asc sign and you may've pegged it by looking to your own Moon sign.

A chart set between 13* and 25* Gemini is a very safe bet as a starting place. You could simply use the degree of your Moon in Gemini if it falls in this range and go from there. 13, 16, 20, 21 or 24 Gemini. My bet is 20 Gemini because this puts it nearly exactly contra-parallel Mars at 23S05, which is the strongest theme in her personality.
