I'm in a bit of a slump right now, so...How do you motivate yourself to go further? How do you push yourself to do things that you're reluctant to do- whether it's working out, daily tasks, or something bigger?

List Sun & Mars placements and aspects or anything else you feel like is important.

My moon is in the 8th house, so I find that I usually tend to motivate myself when I keep things hidden- like I don't talk to anyone else about it. Once I do, it's like all of the power is gone and it's lost importance and relevance to me. My Mars is in Saggi, so I usually do things in the spur of the moment. Anger usually motivates me though, and when that does happen, I usually plan things behind the scenes (cardinal Ascendant + Merc. in Scorpio), and execute it but also plan impromptu meetings/conversations because of my Mars placement.

What about you?

I sit in my room an wait for a Mars transit.

Kidding.

Kinda.

I kinda play into my personality. I'm a 7th house Scorpio so I'm always thinking about a crush or something right. So when I go to the gym I get on the treadmill that has a really really got chick nearby. That motivates me to really show off. It's my secret shame but it's the key to my best runs :P

Competing against an extremely fit guy helps too even if he smokes me out. I'll try my best to out pace him even when there's no hope.

I do really rely on transits though. My Mars is doused in the 12th house with 4 squares and 1 sextile from Jupiter. So I really need the tune up from a Mars transit. Just had a Mars sextile Mars transit and I'm finally working off the weight I put on over my Jupiter square Sun transit

I lack motivation a lot - don't know if it's mars squares. At its worst I only do things others will recognise - not even so much recognise it as being good but that I've done whatever like having a witness. Probably sun opp asc/uranus with mars (leo)t-squaring them. Funny thing is, just realizing this makes sense with mars in 9th, I'd find a study format/setting just to motivate me more than the qualification and recently been even thinking could I go back and study what I already have and hide that just for that environment.

Sometimes being in emotional pain can bring me to that point. Sun conjunct Chiron.

I hate letting other people down and any role which is supportive I.e being a cog, backstage -contrasting strand to the need for recognition- motivates me. 6th house sun
