I've began noticing a kind of pattern with Taurus girls (real and fictional) where they feel especially awkward, brusque, even unattractive growing up.

Is this a real Taurus quality? I suppose any Earth dominant person would feel a bit too serious for a young person, so that might add to the feeling of awkwardness...

If they've ever felt that way i have never noticed. They are usually gorgeous to me. I haven't met an "ugly" taurus women yet.

I've met an unkempt-looking Taurus girl and she's been the only one so far that I've observed having this syndrome. She used to look way more unattractive when she was in elementary, considering she weighed more and her hair was thick and puffy. She also had really thick eyebrows that made her look like a guy. I guess now that she's grown up a little, she started noticing how her looks used to get her bullied a lot and she worked on fixing that. She lost weight and she started wearing showy clothes and thick makeup. She looks better than she did except her hair is more messed up now because she dyed it. I think she developed a huge inferiority complex. She takes pictures and snaps of herself showing a crap ton of cleavage and points out people's physical imperfections in a rude way. Like she called one of the girls she hung out with fat and she said my friend (who was way more attractive than her and also a Taurus) had acne problem. I don't know, but I think she needs help. I guess she became really bitter after growing up feeling ugly all her life.

My mom was this way. She had a REALLY tough time growing up. Unfortunately when she was born she had lazy eyes and had to have several surgeries to fix them throughout her childhood. She was super skinny and tall, so you can imagine how badly she was teased. As soon as she hit puberty though and got her own job and grew into her features beautifully. Aside from her anger issues my mom's a beauitiful person, total Taurus lol. She's a Taurus Sun, Scorpio Moon.

Aside from my mom I've noticed this is many Earth dominant friends or family members, an ex as well.

I notice this mostly with Capricorn Sun/Asc women or Saturn/Sun/Asc aspect women. They tend to blossom with age.

My Taurus Sun sister most concerned with physical beauty. She has rarely ever thought herself beautiful and has, for the longest of time, suffered self-esteem issues related to physical beauty (comparing her looks excessively with others).

I think for Taurus,Libra Sun/Asc, Venus Sun/Asc people, physical looks can be important and can be very defining.Even with men.

A long time ago I was with a guy who had Sun/Moon in Taurus with Venus in 1st house of Gemini. He was into fashion and looking good. He loved to dress up and I think that physical looks strongly defined him.

I dated/lived with a Taurus sun/Scorpio moon for 3 years and he definitely had an awkward phase growing up. It was kind of hilarious comparing the pictures of the skinny, awkward-looking boy he was then, with the handsome guy I was dating. To give you an idea of how handsome he became: I met him at a fashion show where he was one of the models.

Truuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuue dat. I was convinced that I was extremely androgynous looking as a child. I absolutely hated my face and features. I look nothing like I do now. I definitely feel a lot more comfortable with my appearance than I did when I was in high school or middle school (eeeek).

Sort of but I kind of feel like that happens with all heavily influenced earth people. I have a Taurus asc/Mars with Saturn opposing my Sun/Jupiter and I will say as a kid/teenager being comfortable was more of a concerned. The only thing that really mattered to me then and even now was my mane (hair).

I am 34 now and become hot, lol

I have a Taurus Ascendant as well as Saturn square Ascendant.

My Venus in Scorpio is my chart ruler & Libra rules my 6th house. My venus in Scorpio is located in my 6th house.

I've honestly always struggled with my self-esteem.

Excess facial hair on females runs in my family.

Plus, I have almost no breasts.

I also have a slight discoloring on my four middle front teeth due to being born 3 months premature. (minor birth defect)

All of these flaws have contributed to my low self-esteem when I was younger and sometimes now, on my bad days.

Even with all of these flaws, I am still beautiful.

It's just these physical traits (facial hair, yellow teeth, small breasts) aren't desireable to anyone, not even myself.

I've learned to cope with these flaws over the years.

FYI: Don't misinterpret my post. I do not have a thick beard or mustache. I just have hairs under my chin that I have to pluck often as well as a mustache that I have to wax every 2 weeks.

I blame it on my Scorpio stellium & Saturn squaring my ascendant.

I've heard that Scorpios tend to be hairy.
I've also heard that Taurus Asc. have a stocky solid build so it's not surprising that I would have these annoying issues with my appearance.

I wouldn't call myself an ugly duckling but I'm not a natural beauty either. I guess Saturn just adds reality to my appearance. I have flaws. I am human. I'm still beautiful, but with my beauty, comes a dose of reality.

That's the way I see things now at 21 vs. back when I was 9 or 10 getting teased for my flaws. I definitely had to do some growing internally and I still am. People have no idea what women go through on a daily basis.

Yea I went thru an ugly phase, or what I thought was ugly, especially high school. Of course I was thicker then all the other girls but I wasn't fat. Btw I'm a Taurus sun w/Leo asc & Virgo moon. Also I don't think the fact that I have Saturn Rx unaspected (well basically unaspected only makes a sesiquadrate with mercury) in the second house very helpful. I didn't have my first REAL relationship until I turned 20. I had a lot of people tell me I was pretty in high school but certainly didn't feel that way. A lot of my self esteem was tied to whether or not boys liked me, which was very unfortunate. But I'm older now & know better .

I'd say now I appreciate my looks more but I still have my days as I'm sure we all do. I will admit that I def know how to use my sex appeal to attract men (mars square neptune & taurus mc perhaps?) but even now I'm changing my way of thinking & am trying to steer away from that. It's hard though because I don't get as much attention as I'm used to but I also know the attention wasn't genuine.

Hmmm interesting theory, but I haven't seen that many ugly Taurus women.

In my group of 4 best friends when I was a teenager, 3 were Taurus, and they were gorgeous. A bit on a chubby side, but very attractive and popular with guys. Also, my sister is a Taurus Sun, Aries Asc. She's very beautiful.

I don't know ladies, but it's all in your head

(I don't have anything significant in Taurus, 'cept for MC and Juno)

Taurus sun/ Leo ascendant here. I definitely didn't feel attractive in high school. 6 ft tall, lanky and awkward! But as the years have passed, definitely since getting into my thirties, I feel happier and much more comfortable with my looks. I always put my self consiousness and low self esteem down to Saturn conjunct Asc but maybe Saturn is the very thing that is improving my confidence and looks as I age?!?!

I was talking more in terms of *self* esteem.

I'm a male but I figure the experience should be similar anyway

I was awkward looking till about senior year high school then I began growing out of it. Around 22-23 is where I really blossomed. It just kinda happened.

I'm usually considered at least above average handsome. I credit it to the Venus ruled Taurus ASC and Jupiter in the 1st house. People I've met that have only Jupiter in the 1st house tend to be above average in looks.

Down side is I paid the price for the good looks early on. Took me the majority of my youth to get a control on my weight so I do have more stretch marks than most people. Doesn't bother me since they don't look bad at all especially when I have my weight controlled.

But yea, it definitely took me awhile to really look handsome and it was rather a surprise to me when it happened. Just had to work with that Jupiter energy a bit to reap the rewards. Of course, us Taurus ASC folk usually do opt for the comfy clothing over style so that can hide the potential for good looks.

I honestly don't remember how my self esteem was back then. I know I was awkward, my Virgo buddy from high school likes to remind me of that. But I don't think I felt handsome or ugly. Perhaps I felt like I could lose the weight, but it was never a concern for a long time.

But I also heard us Cap Mooners can be quite awkward in youth before growing into that energy.

Hello, all. I'm a Taurus sun, Gemini rising, Capricorn moon. I remember being 11 or 12 and having a chat with my grandma in the car one evening. She said, "Don't worry, Janah. I was an ugly duckling when I was your age, but things have changed, and they will for you." At first I was offended by her comment...for years, actually, but man was she right! I was teased in middle school for being overweight (I was 5'6" and 160 pounds), for being annoying (maybe my gemini rising mixed with my 8th house stellium had a say on that), and I had wild, thick eyebrows and could care less about personal hygiene because I wanted to sit around and eat while playing the Sims all day. I started to see a beautiful physical transformation once I not only became aware of what others deemed as attractive and desirable, but also once I realized how much value I have within. So, to put it in the simplest form, once I began loving myself and my God given looks, everything made sense and I felt content. I believe it is the modesty of most Taurean females I know that make them so beautiful. All of those years of going unnoticed, being misused, and left in the cold are being made up for now, and I take the compliments I get from strangers and friends to heart, always.

Taurus females take care of themselfves and look good usually. However there's one I know from high school. She could be very pretty but she doesn't have any sense of style in any way. She is a bit unkempt. Sometimes I wish I could re-create her lol.

These kinds of matters are always interesting to talk about because they ultimately need to be addressed with a little perspective.

Gemini beauty is different from Taurean beauty but is quite similar to the Aries brand of beauty. The Cancer brand of shiny eyes and a fuller figure gels perfectly with the somewhat heady voluptuous sexuality that Taurean woman bring to the table. I hope I'm making sense here.

The first boy I ever had a crush on may not have been considered pretty or ideal to a Scorpio. My venus is in Gemini, my Mars is in Taurus. I happen to like intelligent gym bunnies.

Oh god did I answer your question?

Moon in Gemini problems.

The only example I can think of is Uma Thurman who was kind of gangly and gawky growing up,but she certainly outgrew that phase--
