Actually it's weird.

I can think of 3 people I've known with the same Sun/Moon combo that are incredibly cheap.

I am an aries moon but I've been told that I am generous- maybe it's my jupiter/merc in leo in 1st who provides some warmth and my tons of cancer placements

The cheapest (but not to herself, just to others ) person I know is a virgo sun (conj mc) too
Capricorn rules her 2nd house, Saturn is in the 9th and makes a trine to Neptune in 1st, and sextiles her libra stellium in 10h AND sesquisquares her moon in pisces in 4h

I dont' know about cheap per se, but the people I know that the most focused on money and sort of "count" how much they give or know where every penny they spend goes are all Aquarius suns.

Sign and ruler of the 2nd house and aspects to it is where to look. Maybe ruler of the 2nd in tight aspect to Saturn? Or in opposition to Moon?

A Cancer Sun (5th house)/Taurus Moon (2nd house) man I know is the cheapest person I have ever met, and is not afraid to piggyback on the good fortunes of others. He was very spoiled growing up though, and his parents still do a lot for him. He almost has an entitled sense in that he expects that others should pay for him to do things or pay for things for him sometimes - though this might be his Libra Mars (7th house) sense of "fairness" kicking in. He has sporadic bursts of generosity though and will spend good money on things that he REALLY wants/needs but it has to be justified.

My sister is a cheap cheaperton..
I mean, shes spends a lot of money, but when it comes to others, forget it.
"Lets not buy each other xmas gifts so I dont have to worry about getting you something"
...and thats to her boyfriend of 3 years.

Dont get me wrong, she can be generous, but when it comes down to splitting the bill in half, shell argue over nickles and dimes

Taurus and scorpio. Find it very hard to give but will splurge on themselves. I think they both get better as they age and will spluge of thier lover because they are an extension of thier property and themselves lol. I know a scorp sun moon guy. He stole things from me to give to his girlfrend. I've seen them together and it's uncomfortable because we were eating and she tried to have some of his food and he got like extremely posessive of his food like a stray dog. He picked out the bits he didn't want to give to her.. poor girl. He ended up cheating on her. He was all about me me me. I dated a taurus and when we broke up he tried to bring up all the money he's spent on me...

I'm not going to count the people that never spend money not even on themselves. Because saving money and never letting go I think is a different topic.

The most generous people I've ever known were a cap (yeah I know) sag and pisces.

Saturn anything is such a generalization ... I have heavy saturn and I will spend my last penny for my friends...

Some libras are really cheap... They spend on themselves but not on you

Virgo and taurus are the same.
Capricorn spend as investments
2nd house placements

Normally, people who are generous have well aspected jupiter, maybe leo influences, 5th house
Aquas are known to overspend lol

virgo rules my 2h and i have saturn in that house. Ruler of 7th is saturn (along with uranus).

Jupiter in leo in 1st is very well aspected. Strong Cancer placements.

I can rule my money and i never spend more money than I ought to but i've been told that I am generous many times. But I admit that i can tranfsmor into the cheapest person in the world if i realize that I am used

The "cheapest" person I know is a Taurus-Capricorn. We know she's cheap/mean/tight-fisted because at one time or another everyone of us (her extended family) have crashed at her house.

What sank us (I was a teen when I lived with her) she wanted to decided where I should and shouldn't work.

Cappies can be really generous, possibly because it's an investment and/or because to them they show how much they care (as money means so much to them so they're essentially saying the person means even more). I know one who was crazy sentimental about it...he was very cheap and tightfisted in many ways but if he took a shine to someone he went way over the top, even donated several hundred dollars (which was a lot for him and normally the guy would gripe about the price of cheap beer) to a child he never knew after the mother whom he cherished from a distance died.
