Is it a mixture of heavy attraction and repulsion? It's between me and a Cancer. It feels like there's a barrier and if only we could just overcome it things would be more comfortable. IP: Logged |

What planets are squaring? Certainly attraction and sparks but once in a while one of those sparks hits you in the eye. (Ouch!) IP: Logged |

His Cancer Sun probably, most likely, squares my Aries Sun, Mercury, and Venus. But he has a Sag Moon which would oppose my ASC, Mars, and Jupiter. IP: Logged |

Actually I just checked our synastry table - none of that even aspects each other, but our Mars, both mutable, square each other. So, I guess that's that! I could punch him and I think he would punch me back and then we'd make out, lolol.IP: Logged |

Mars square Mars ughhhh.Never had that. I like squares more than oppositions though. I have a buttload of squares in my chart so I guess I like the torture. Feels normal to me. IP: Logged |

I feel like squares are not something you want between sexual planets Esp Mars square mars, i experienced mars conjunct mars sex and its so good and satisfying just everything blends very smoothly and good i can imagine mars square mars being very annoying and not being able to have mutually satisfying sex between two people without a BUNCH of coaching and work! Sexually i make sure to stay away from mars in libra and aries just for that reason, BUT the attraction is there but i know its not worth it IP: Logged |

If your natal chart has many squares; especially involving Sun/Moon/Venus/Mars, you may be drawn to relationships that mirror that.Because it is what you are used to nataly. But some "squares" don't feel nearly as bad as others.Oppositions can be even more debilitating mind you. For example Cancer squaring Aries is quite intense as compared to Cancer squaring Libra. But Capricorn squaring Libra or Aries is not so bad (IMO) as when Capricorn opposes Cancer.DRAMA!!! A square feels like a disagreement that neither of you are wanting to "lose". Especially with fixed sign squares- those are the worst and can go on for a very long time. Everyone has disagreements, its only human. But with square aspects,it seems that the disgreements are more frequent and make the association between the two people extremely volatile and unstable. The square(like the opposition)is ironically also very potent and can be confused for "attraction".As it can quite easily "double" up as a conjunction aspect. Squares can be sexually potent. Especially between certain planets. The tension between the two people can evoke sexual tension in some instances. But the gratification often lacks sensitivity and can feel like a violent act. Some couples fight with each other just before having sex.I have noticed that most people who stay in terrible relationships, mitigate the turbulent nature of the relationship by explaining how good the sex is. An example is the woman whom I volunteered with at an NGO.She had Moon/Mars Moon/Pluto square and Mars opposite Uranus. So I guess she was going to be drawn to such relationships-judging by her chart. She confided in me on how difficult it was to leave her abusive boyfriend.I asked her why it took her so long and she said that besides the self-esteem issues she had and his incorrigible mind games, the sex was really, really good. So she thought that he was the kind of man who loved "violently" etc. I get that,I also have Moon/Mars square and I must admit that after an argument with my SO,the heated exchanges between us make for a pretty wild make-up session. I don't condone violence in any way, shape or form.I am just expressing the nature of the square. IP: Logged |

@aries What you said makes a lot of sense! I guess i just like the easier flowing aspects i hate the feeling of "disconnect" or not connecting on the same level maybe thats all the water and pluto in my chart IP: Logged |

I think I'm drawn to things that are difficult naturally because I'm a triple Aries and Aries likes challenging feats. But my Aries placements are also square Saturn, so does that mean I'm attracted to really, REALLY difficult things?Other than my Saturn Squares and Neptune squares, my personal planets are sextile and conjunct. I think it's a mixture of both because of the rest of his chart. Yes, his Mars is in Pisces, but his Moon is in Sag and his Mercury and Venus are in Gemini. The Sag and Gemini compliment my chart GREAT. Well, on paper. But now that I know it's Mars square Mars it makes a lot more sense. There's always this feeling of competitiveness there that I'm not quite sure how it budded. Plus we have Mercury / Saturn aspect in synastry (I'm Saturn) I can't help but think almost everything he does is easily read through or dumb. But it's still a challenge. What a vicious cycle... In synastry, I think I prefer trines because it usually means the other person is actually my type. For me, when there have been squares (say Venus square Mars, as opposed to trine) there is attraction, but it's not as easy. For me it doesn't feel as natural. They are the type of person I would probably feel attraction to, but wouldn't pursue. I wouldn't feel the probability of sexual compatibility between us. Just my experience. IP: Logged |

agree. i definitely don't like squares in synastry with a partner. they are very uncomfortable to me and don't feel natural at all. IP: Logged |

Honestly I haven't loved Venus/Mars conjunctions either, at least not with a romantic partner. I think I like them better than squares, but usually I think I get a feeling they're too much like me. In a friendship, they're great, especially sun/mercury conjunctions. It's like they can read my mind. I think conjunctions are great for understanding but maybe not attraction as much. For me anyway. It probably just depends what planets are involved. IP: Logged |
