OK, It is official Baby Boomers get on my nerves too much.I feel they had some support from parents and now they expect from their children lots too but I think there is lots of disappointment. They really had everything good. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/features/11002767/Gen-Z-Gen-Y-baby-boomers-a-guide-to-the-generations.html http://business.time.com/2012/03/29/millennials-vs-baby-boomers-who-would-you-rather-hire/ It feels I am always sent to work as managing their expectation and I do it with my Moon in Aries. Any how.... Can anybody tell me what was generational planets were and how they are affecting current generation. Can anybody point out on generational planets and it's effects ? IP: Logged |

Taking a wild guess here, but Virgo Pluto/Uranus conjunction versus Saggi Saturn/Neptune/Uranus (or for the younger ones, simply having Pluto in Sag) equals friction. You'll hear a lot of "these dumb, spoiled millenial slobs need to get off their smartphones, drop the lattes and get a job!" and "these stupid boomers are so ignorant and intolerant oh today's world issues! They are stuck in the past!" I think those of us with Pluto in Scorpio will be having the same issue when the kids today become young adults during Pluto in Aquarius when it will be in a trine with Uranus and sextile with Neptune. Baby Boomers were the natal Pluto in Leo generation. Uranus spent time there as well, catching up to Pluto. Gen X is the Virgo conjunction generation, though we own part of the Pluto in Libra as well.Back to your question, your Aries moon might be called on because its what you've got to work with those Leo placements. I'm not sure what is going on with baby boomers. My parents came from the Pluto in Cancer generation and I am from generation x Pluto in Virgo. IP: Logged |

Thank you forewarning. Makes sense ! :-) If they want to innovate than who would we to stop them from doing it in Pluto in Aquarius. Is it wrong that I am already expecting kids to be smarter than us? Just had Saturn return and child thus I do not expect my child to take care of me and eventually just dying alone or being in old home or something. No this is realistic view and anything better than this would be bonus. I have my best friend who had Virgo Asc and she bothered my Sag Asc/ Stellium on lateness. I think they are completely 2 different thing they are going to achieve. I always thought Steve job was Aquarius(Pisces- Wikipedia reckons) and Bill Gates Scorpio.

It's just that I do not want to do it at all and I do it fiery way no matter how hard I try and also I think A) I am letting down and B) it makes me think I am really rubbish at family in general. Aries Moon in Fourth transiting Uranus. I think since I have no solution (Sun in Scorpio) for them it makes me worried.(Mars in Virgo) I have not even thought about myself, only very recently.

Thank you all for replying. I wanted to know which planet to look at. Pluto is a good one. Aug 3, 1938 1:56 PM Pluto enters Leo Oct 20, 1956 1:12 AM Pluto enters Virgo Oct 5, 1971 2:14 AM Pluto enters Libra Nov 5, 1983 4:07 PM Pluto enters Scorpio
More Planet tables here http://www.cafeastrology.com/urnepplutosigntables.html Is this true for Generation X ? This generation has been characterised as being saddled with permanent cynicism. Too young to have fought in any major war, old enough to have enjoyed a free education – they have spent too much of their adulthood sitting around in coffee shops trying to set the world to rights. And failing. Self-help books line their shelves and and they are burdened with an almost permanent state of anxiety -- social, financial, sexual. -------------------------------------------- Generation Y do you think they are really Selfish ? As well as being comfortable sharing their entire life online, this is a selfish, self-regarding generation. "Let me take a Selfie," is their catchphrase. -------------------------------------------- Also do you think that each generation has to deal with certain problem like Pluto in Sag is more about truth and religion? Do you think your parents have unfulfilled expectations from their child as in you or are more in sync with your needs?

That may be true somewhat of Gen X but going by their entertainment I don't think they were that idealistic (but very cynical, particularly of authority, yet this cynicism of authority also seemed to make much of Gen X in both Russia and America not care so much about the Cold War as well). The 80s did, I think, see a lot of pop psychology becoming mainstream, which also reflects in their media (from talk shows to even the introduction of a "ship's counselor" in ST: The Next Generation). They also had a lot more money to burn and more pressure to get ahead without as much drive to do so (as they were often raised comfortably, at least more so than the generations before them) which allowed them to spend so much on pop psychology and related things, so other than the idealism I can see that statement being pretty accurate. (Obviously, I don't mean idealism didn't exist, I'm saying I don't think it was as prominent as they make it out to be.) As for Gen Y being selfish...not particularly so. Rejecting hierarchies and obligations can be perceived as selfish, however. Another thing is that the young and old tend to be a lot alike no matter what generation it is. The young tend to be self-absorbed and also becoming their own person which can come off as selfish and irresponsible (heck, they often are, not that it necessarily makes them bad people or that they'll be that way their entire lives) while the old become set in their ways and losing a sense of relevance that makes them increasingly nostalgic and resenting the young whippersnappers...and both young and old tend to sneer at the other. It was the same in Ancient Greece thousands of years ago and it seems to be true of a great many all through the 20th century and still going strong. And actually, Gen Y seems a little better than Gen X at the same age (with the notable exception of typically not being as independent) though that could simply be because there were a lot less kids present among Gen Y...kids are like adults, the more you have the more trouble you get which spreads (and doubly so for kids if there isn't sufficient adult supervision). Gen Z seems okay to me. Immature at the moment, but that's to be expected. I've sensed a lot of idealism out of many and I dare hope that they'll make this world a little better than the one we raise them in. IP: Logged |
