Michael Erlewine, a brilliant astrologer, recently posted the following on the internet:

OVERRIDING THE OVERWRITING

Well, the solar flare, New Moon, and Winter Solstice were here and gone, a real vortex, something a little more vigorous than your ordinary dust devil. I am busy reanimating myself and finding, as usual, that my heading has altered some from wanting to write about entrepreneurism and the like. Where did that desire go? It got overwritten.

This idea of our mental RAM being overwritten by change is a little unsettling. It almost makes me want to carefully write out my agenda and life-direction before one of these intense times and then make myself compare the before and after views and compass-headings afterward. Where does the time go, and where does the direction I was following go?

It probably does not matter, because in the end the result is always the same. I have no idea where it all went, but I find myself taking out my life compass and trying to find my new direction. No, it is not 180-degrees from where I was, but whatever little bit of steam I had rolling is usually spent. Sure, I can mentally see what I was doing before all the changes went down, like writing the blog series on entrepreneurs, but the motivation, the heart, which is what keeps me working is lost. It just went, where I don’t know.

So, rather than try to reanimate a dead motivation, which never works well, instead, I cast about for something happening right now, like writing this. Years ago I would wring my hands over such a loss and pour myself into trying to resuscitate the corpse, but that is like throwing good money after bad. And I probably was worrying a bit if I was losing my mind just because I hit a reset mentally, but now, forget about it. I am used to change redirecting me without notice and in ways I am not aware of.

So, instead, as mentioned, I let my mind rest, feel the pulse and the flow, and hitch a ride on some fresh thought, such as this one. Staying with the present, for me, is always a good thing. At least I get some fresh air and don’t spend too much time wondering about the past and “Wha’ Happened?”

Anyone else out there in the same boat?

Thanks Michael Erlewine! That was a great post about staying present, refocusing and getting our bearings as the energies of change zap our RAM (random access memory) ~ that short term storage in our computer like brain that just got reset by the winds of change above our heads! Kind of like pressing the “off” button on the computer and starting it up again~ stuff might be there or it might be gone.

As I wrote last week, the next few weeks are WILD! There are lots of planetary changes and activity. Expect major changes in many areas of your life and the world. During weeks like these, it is often best to sit back and watch what happens. After it is all over, process the information. Keep watching. Pay attention. Share what you saw with other people to find out what THEY saw or experienced that YOU missed.

Last week as Uranus stationed and turned direct in his intense square with Pluto, two NYC police officers were murdered, shot execution style, as they sat in their patrol car. Pluto wasn’t “winning” any more, as Uranus asserted himself. We all stopped and said “Wow, WHAT will happen if THAT continues?” For the next THREE MONTHS, Uranus and Pluto are going to be traveling together in a very hard-working square. They will go back and forth in their relationship. Uranus and Pluto ask us to redefine our understanding, approach and vision of what kind of country and world we want to live in.

As Uranus and Pluto travel square to each other expect their tensions to continue. Look at your chart to see how they are stimulating it ~ 12:34 and 12:58 respectively right now through 15:16 March 16, 2015. Watch where change is fighting with power, chaos against control, Aries asserting and taking action, moving while Capricorn claims existing structures and establishes rock like stability. These two planets can show up bringing anxiety, power struggles and lack of sleep. They deliver a pushing, crazy making schedule.

Last week as Uranus turned direct but was still square to pluto, police assassinations (yes, Uranus rules assassination ~ sudden changes to power!) took place, a 50 year change in our relationship with Cuba happened and SONY cancelled a movie due to Uranus activity to their computer structures!

So What, EXACTLY, is your vision? Take Michael Erlewine’s advice. Get out your compass and see where you are now. Plot a path for your future. Move forward until the next RAM overwrite takes place and shifts your compass yet again.

As Uranus and Pluto square each other, they ask us to evolve. Expect continuing evolutionary pushes. Where do you want to break free or shoot someone execution style? Where do you feel the impact of the power YOU have? What are the evolutionary steps needed? Uranus and Pluto will be fussing, pushing, pulling, calling and poking at us to evolve and change.

Saturn is traveling through the last bits of Scorpio. He’ll kick up the story he began in October 2012 to “close the matter down”. Saturn (or any planet) at the end of a sign brings back the memories and events of when he entered the sign. It is kind a cosmic shout out to the early days and degrees.

The last degrees of Saturn in Scorpio shout out and ask what you’ve learned since fall 2012 about commitment, fear, psychology, sex, death, taxes and intense experiences in bonding or connecting with others. Saturn teaches us through intense experiences described by the sign he is in ~ Scorpio these past two years. The changes are experienced in the houses he rules (Capricorn and Aquarius) and where he lives in natal chart. He brings changes to those areas as well as the Scorpio house in the natal chart. Saturn at the anorectic degree ~ the last moments of time~ push us back in time and space to remember, reimagine and redeem ourselves and our individual journey through time.

On December 23, Saturn enters Sagittarius. Pay attention to what goes on this week as Saturn is setting up the story for the next two years. We’ll talk more about his journey next week. Saturn’s conjunction to Pallas unveils the patterns we are going to be focusing on. Pallas enters Sagittarius on December 27, to intensify our understanding of the mission. Both of them aspect the Nodes of Destiny, outlining the changes and stresses we can expect.

Sun aspects Venus, Neptune and Jupiter causing emotional and sentimental moments.

Mercury and Venus are still BOTH out of bounds. Mercury in Capricorn makes communications serious. Venus in Capricorn makes relationships serious. Out of bound planets means communications and relationships are not following the rules. They are overdoing and out or control ~ over emotional, over the top, over excited, over compensating ~ over, over, over! Venus in Capricorn is out of bounds until December 25, 2014.

Mercury goes through the square of Uranus and Pluto and turns to us to talk about our vision for the future evolution. Mercury’s square to the Nodes of Destiny reminds us we always have a choice of HOW we interpret the situations in our life.

Venus squares the Nodes of Fate facing a choice in how we love. She needs to make adjustments to her sense of partnership and relationships. Mars trines the Nodes of Destiny, bringing important information to your attention even as he wants to separate from his relationships with others.

Monday is a great day to get things accomplished with Moon in Capricorn. Tuesday moon is void all day with good closing aspects so continue to process things and get things done~ just work on older projects already begun. Wednesday and Thursday the Aquarius Moon has an opposition closing aspect to Jupiter so expect overdoing, overspending, over reactions and over-emotions over the holiday! Friday and Saturday, Pisces Moon makes the days busy with a productive and creative aspect to Venus in Capricorn even though the Moon is void all day Saturday. Sunday, Moon in Aries squares Venus in Capricorn and sets off the Uranus Pluto square so expect anxiety, action and change around relationships ~ Monday too!

We enter a period of frequent day long void Moon as Saturn enters Sagittarius and the last degrees of planets are early in the zodiac.
Void Moons in the Week Ahead: When the Moon is Void, it is wise to avoid making important decisions as they tend to be unrealistic, and subject to false starts, errors or unexpected hassles. Mercury and Vesta both aspect Juno, starting a new form of partnership. Somber energy this evening as Moon talks to Saturn.

Wednesday Mercury’s day December 24, 2014 Moon is in Aquarius and goes void Opposite Jupiter so today and tomorrow have an overdoing quality of abundance and relationship to them. Jupiter’s Day Thursday December 25, 2014 ~ Merry Christmas! Moon is in Aquarius and goes void Opposite Jupiter at 10:12:01 am EST. Moon is void all day Thursday. Moon enters Pisces at 11:07:53 pm EST. Mercury links up with Pluto tonight bringing necessary and needed changes. Mercury is out of bounds so his message can be a bit startling and confounding. Venus connects with Ceres and invites changes in how you nurture yourself or others. The energy is pretty clear that things need to change. Venus comes in from out of bounds and becomes more focused on how to accomplish her goals as she has a number of aspects. Mercury stresses out a bit over how things change, particularly how they end. Mercury’s aspect with Chiron offers healing or the opportunity to shift your approach to your woundedness. Is it really that important? Sun and Ceres connect by declination encouraging you to nurture yourself ~ you are all you have after all. Take good care of yourself! Moon’s square to Saturn marks a permanent ending of sorts.

Friday Venus’s Day December 26, 2014 Happy Kwanzaa~ Moon is in Pisces and goes void Sextile to Venus so today and Saturday are abundant and full of growth opportunities. Take advantage of the supportive energy and launch yourself into new projects and ideas around how to work with Saturn in Sagittarius. Dreams are particularly inspiring. Mars opposition to Juno invites you to leave a relationship that is not working for you anymore. Or to redefine the situation and shape it into a new format that feels more connected. Be aware that commitments and deals entered into today will go okay but will have their fair share of missed or misunderstood communications. Watch for a burst of envy or jealousy today that inspires you (or them) to move in an inspired direction. Envy can inspire and does in this case. Mercury’s square to the Nodes encourages you to take the path of partnership and connection rather than continuing to operate as a lone wolf. No more solo traveling. We accomplish things through partnership. Uranus squares Vesta tonight so expect unexpected changes on the home front. Sun’s sextile to Neptune is inspirational Pay attention to your hopes and dreams. There can be a few tears with this energy. All tears are good. They remind you of times past and help your heart heal.

Today there are great possibilities so expand your ideas and horizons. Dream a big dream. Continue to work on projects already begun. A night with a combination of tossing and turning dreams evolving into great ideas….record your memories of dreams on awakening. Partnerships are renegotiated upon reflection. There are many terms and ideas to consider. Pallas enters Sagittarius until October 31, 2015 encouraging each of us to strategically focus on our own vision and how to attain it. Lots of changes around the home today ~ decorations down, presents moved, shifts of focus. Make sure everything in your life brings you joy…. Otherwise ask yourself why you have it. Pluto links up with Vesta… our home and environment reflects our exterior world as well as our interior world. Sun’s day Sunday December 28, 2014 ~ Moon enters Aries on Sunday Dec 28, 2014 at 01:36:16 am EST. The closing aspect of a square to Venus gives today an energy of overdoing and pushy energy. Relationships can have a bit of a challenge due to one partner wanting more ~ more freedom, more action, more something. Adjust to allow growth for all concerned. You can’t push this desire back into a box or hide from it. Dreams are troubled or troubling but still filled with important truths. Saturn aspects the Nodes of Destiny~ by now you should have a clear idea about what you are going to be working on as Saturn travels through Sagittarius. We’ll cover it in more depth next week but pay attention to the turbulence, insights and ideas that are swirling around your mind today and tonight. Today is also a stressful travel and communication day with Mercury having harsh aspects to Mars. Pallas aspects the Nodes of Destiny bringing important plans to your attention. Saturn links up with Pallas and starts a new six year cycle that ends on December 2, 2020. Saturn and Pallas united help you strategically plot and plan out how you are going to use Saturn’s journey through Sagittarius to create more joy, abundance, illumination, passion and vision in your life.
