It's more like that one is a bore if it's without the other.

Venus/Mars aspects don't care about safety.

You mean the square makes a person need both to be happy? I would have thought they would stress each other out and refuse to work together.

My only square is Uranus square Saturn and it's taken me a long time to get my Independant nature to work in agreement with being responsible.

Well i say that, but I've had to do some really very rebellious things in order to protect my children and be a good a parent....so maybe a square doesn't work quite like I'm thinking it does.

Squares create friction and excitement. Have the conjuncting planets work together, not the squaring ones.
