My sun is in the 5th house and I have a "I want to be seen, a force to be reckoned with, look at me!; but not if I have to actually put myself out there. Lets just all look at me and when I dont want to be looked at yall look another way"

I want it effortlessly. I dont want to have to put my mistakes out there.
Maybe thats the Capricorn having his say in it though. Dignified.

I see the the 10th house sun as the sun that really wants to be seen (well, depending on whos ruling it), they dont care if they trip and fall, they just want to be looked at.
Look at me! These are all my great accomplishments!

Since 5th house is one of Cinema I see it wanting to be a performer but because 10th house is a public house hes the one that really can get out there..

Im not sure if that is correct.
I do feel like I need to really really really accomplish something in private before I go out into the public eye. I dont know if that is Capricorn disciplining because Leo is the natural ruler of the 5th house and he seems to like the public eye..

Any thoughts on this?

Well 10th house sun wants to achieve. It's not a very happy place for the sun as all 10th sun people have problems with authorities. They are aware that they are seen and prefer not to screw up as in the past, good old Saturn makes sure they know what screw up means

You're an Aqua but the cusp in Cap, is that right?

I have a Capricorn Sun in a Capricorn 5th house. I can see myself being a performer and I wouldn't mind being in the center of attention while performing but when it's over, I'd like to be able to dissapear into the thin air. Somebody buy me an invisible cloak for my birthday I would want to keep my presence in the media to the minimum and I would guard my non-professional life. If I was an artist/performer I wouldn't reject the possibility of being on twitter/blogging cause I could share there exactly what I want and when I want. Better than being interrogated during interviews. It would revolve around things I find interesting, funny and worth recommendation, my projects and creations. Also, it would be probably fun interacting with sane and friendly fans/observers online.

I'm sooo happy! I mean, cappy.

I was always under the impression that the sun is at its hottest, brightest, and most visible between 12 P.M. and 2 P.M. so the 10th house Sun would be a very comfortable place for it to be.

Both are great placements for the sun, but I always thought 1 has the potential to shine with its natural creativity, popularity, and easy going nature and 1 shines no matter what, good or bad, positive or negative.

10th house Sun here. I hate to be noticed. However, it tends to happen anyway, because of my... "weird" tendencies.
I've seen 10th house Sun being described as being most comfortable when they are the "expert" at something. That's definitely true for me, I don't want to just be good, I want to be good enough to be the one everyone goes to for help.
Except I'm extremely far from that, so it's not going to happen, but yeah. I think somebody with a great drive and a 10th house Sun has potential to end up feeling very satisfied, while having a 10th house Sun for someone with little passion or little desire to do efforts is a potential burden.

Technically in the 9th house, my Sun is conjunct the MC. Although I do have its ruler, Mercury, in the 10th. Can I play?

Very early on I got the message that unless I achieved something spectacular I've somehow failed. 'Your parents were outstanding people (ha!), nothing less is expected of you.' 'Do things to make your dad and me proud.'

Of course I was supposed to do this all by myself, with next to no help. By help I mean lessons, direction, training and such as a small child. I got none of that, it was up to me to figure it out. Just don't be a disappointment.

I attract attention easy, but sometimes it has the feel of living in a glass house.

True.

Only the tyrannical ones.

On the flip side, this aspect (Sun conj MC) has made me popular with authority figures.

True. No superstar, me. But it's now become apparent that getting to the top is easy, it's they staying there where the real challenge is. As a Sun conj MC I want to hold my position/stay relevant.

I have the same placement, in Gemini, Sun exact conjunct MC at 9'03 and 9'27. I got the same treatment growing up, and remember my parents very early on saying "we want this house", or "you'll be able to buy me this or that when you're a millionaire". Seriously, I grew up having that beaten into my head: success or fame, but it has to be one". Mostly by my dad........he would console me when I would cry about being a nerd, and people teasing me.
Him:"You know who else was a Nerd?"
Me: Bill Gates,Margaret thatcher, etc
Him:well I think you've found your niche. Don't worry, that sounds like good company to me.

Talk about pressure. And I was watched like a hawk growing up by everybody; had a lot of people gossiping or waiting in the wings for me to f^_^ck up, so they could gossip more.

I prefer the 5th house sun honestly. Less pressure, less responsibility. I feel like I HAVE to do something in this life, when honestly, sometimes I wish I could just fade away.

The funny part is, my progressed sun is conjunct the MC exact too.

I can second this, as a general 10H SUN trait. I've never had trouble getting along well with the top brass, wherever I went, whether it was an adult, teacher, or a boss.

10H SUN does want to be the very best, or expert, in whatever they do, not out of arrogance, but to fulfill a high internal standard.

I have Scorpio MC, so I'm somewhat reticent and reluctant to be in the spotlight. As a 10H Sag SUN, I have the option easily open to me should the need arise, though.

By authority figure I mean the parents.

Also most 10h Suns want to be their own boss. Yes, they get along with others but they don't enjoy being considered employees. They want to hold the authority

I actually use whole sign system.
Capricorn rules all of my 5th house with the sun and mercury residing in it.

My navamsa chart has my Sun and Moon in 10th house aries, I think maybe that is where Im seeing blurred lines between the two.

I WANT to preform, but like Cappy, I want to disappear right after.
I also have this strong urge to be my own boss. I dont want to work under someone, but I also dont want to command people, not yet anyways

Sun in 10th house imo is better in terms of career than Sun in 5th house.

Sun is below the horizon in 5th house and therefore is more personal and the sun here means the person feels like they can shine and they incline naturally to 5th house matters such as romance, speculative business and all sorts of associated with the sign of Leo. The fact that you say that you feel the need to accomplish something in private before you go out in the public eye shows that your sun is in the 5th house and BELOW the public horizon. (If 11th house is gains and accomplishments then the 5th house must be HOW we gain these things)

Sun in the 10th house means the person is born at midday. What do we notice at midday on a hot summers day? The sun, because usually it shines upon us. A sun in the 10th house WANTS to be noticed and it wants everyone to see them shining. 10th house is also authority and the people who notice us. Who is usually above us? Erm, our boss at work maybe? So it's no surprise that Sun in 10th house person really leaves an impression on their boss at work perhaps, or the government. This impression may be good or bad depending on the aspects sun receives. So if it was an exalted sun in aries, the person may be noticed for their determination, their ambition and their fire; their boss might give them an AUTHORATIVE position. Also if they had sun in 10th house in aries, most likely they'd be a cancer ascendant and LEO would be ruling their second house of material and wealth THAT THEY HAVE, not earned thats the 11th house. 10th is 9th from the 2nd and therefore that means the persons MATERIAL NEEDS (2nd house) will be fulfilled by finding their TRUE (9th house, dharma) VOCATION (10th house). Whether their needs will be fulfilled or not depends on the condition of the 2nd house ruler.

A debilitated sun in libra in the 10th however might mean the person is seen as the opposite and in extreme cases (after checking divisional charts and aspects sun receives) a pushover, however a sun in libra in the 10th house would be an excellent diplomat or negotiator AND WOULD BE KNOWN by authorative figures as a result because libra rules the 7th house of partnerships. A sun in libra might be an excellent detective, accountant or investor because the lord of the 8th house (leo for cap ascendant) would be in the 10th house and 8th house rules matters of other peoples money and deep secrets. However the sun should be examined in all the divisional charts to really see the impact it has on the horoscope.
