I have sun closely trine Saturn and I really dislike to be part of an established order with boundaries - like in religion or literature.

I like to go out on my own. I consider myself a Gnostic in direct communication with the spiritual rather than going to a church and fulfilling spirituality by completely agreeing with the people there and bowing to them. I have no fears of questioning what others believe is pure fact that dare not be questioned.

When I write or create something I don't like to fit in the traditional structures, rather combine things in interesting ways to end up with something out of the norm.

I always long for a Utopia where everyone is nurtured and happy, where there is no suffering or hateful people.

Can anyone relate to sun in aspect to Saturn and forgoing certain established boundaries?

Somewhat I guess.

I'm actually quite traditional with my beliefs in religion. I don't ever plan to change them no matter how much society changes.

I like order and not a person very fond of change. I'll deal with it as best as I can of course, but like to stick to what works for me, and order is what does. Balance and control.

I do enjoy things that are out of the norm but they don't feel strange or weird to me. It's just me being me. I enjoy writing what I want. I don't like feeling restricted in that area and feel others should be given the same right.

I long for Utopia as well and will be there one day. With all good there is and always will be bad. We have to have both in order to learn from both. That's just the way life works. Having Saturn square Pluto does not help me with this, I want the world to be better and it never will. I'm learning to accept responsibility for my life, not others and it's tough. I feel like I've had the weight of the world on my shoulders my whole life.

I have Saturn trine Sun and Moon widely but is exactly trine my Mercury.

Are you sure its Saturn? It sounds more like Mercury/Virgo.

My Saturn is conjunct with my sun in a stellium. Being Libra with Scorpio overtones it gets interesting in that whereas this placement can create a reverence of sort for authority (the kind that harmonizes society and promotes equality under the law) the other elements seemed to have modified it so that it was important that leaders themselves were held to the highest standards and outraged if they didn't, that is if they did not make a sincere attempt to represent the touted ideals and spirit of the social contract then they were unfit to lead.

For example, I used to be outraged that the government required drug testing which I considered a violation of the the 4rth amendment (against unreasonable search & seizures without a warrant) & 5 (forbidding the government from making someone testify against one's self), and having done so they broke the contract (the Constitution) and therefore their authority was no longer legitimate and thus only lawless thugs were calling the shots in the so-called "land of the free" and people had a right to resist them as they would any other thugs (though granted one shouldn't become a martyr over it). Therefore my Saturnine placement had me sympathizing more with political anarchists and people into little government while seeing those I would normally respect as an occupying army who had overthrown the legitimate rulers or otherwise broken the highest law of the land (the Constitution which was the "contract" that gave them their power and by breaking it they no longer had that power invested in them).

Generally speaking I prefer freedom, but...well, I'll spare you my Sag and Libra having their say. The POINT is that I do value freedom with my sun and saturn conjunct in stellium (but quite possibly childhood experiences disillusioned me with strong authority).

And just because I'm a fan of an author doesn't mean I wholeheartedly agree with everything the author says (but I can acknowledge if the author is more educated than me, for example, I admire and quote the historian Loewen but I disagree with a statement of his, but when I describe it I do point out that he is more knowledgeable than me as a fair disclaimer along with my reasons for my disagreement). At the same time I've harshly challenged my own beliefs (and also my occult & spiritual experiences & visions) more than once when given a reason to and have changed them a lot over the years, which could be the Pluto in my stellium with sun & Saturn (btw, it's not only Libra on the Scorpio cusp but also the 3H with Gemini MC!).

As for your bit about religion and spirituality I do see it as an individual experience, though like minded enough people can form a community out of it...this isn't meant to include churches that are little more than social clubs with some rituals thrown in, about as spiritual as a pledge of allegiance before a football game, and natch a great many people pick & choose from their religion what is convenient to their personal prejudices while ignoring the rest which isn't spiritual, it's just justification with a free pass against having to defend their said beliefs, but I generally don't care unless they'd choose "B" a lot in this religious liberty test. Other churches and religious communities are better than that, however.

Personally, I've never felt a need to be part of a religious community, though I have played with the thought before (and have visited many gatherings), and when I experienced the Russian Orthodox I was very respectful of their rules and traditions despite any misgivings I had about them (their roof, their rules, course their rules end outside their property), ironically more than some of the actual members did. (And don't get me started on the 2nd time I visited a Baptist church, I'll just say I remained respectful while within it but I will NEVER visit another Baptist church, but then my granny--sun sextile saturn--is technically Baptist and even she sees most Baptist churches as modern "Pharisees and hypocrites" Jesus condemned.) Nevertheless, I have friends from all sorts of religious, spiritual, and/or occult traditions (as well as those who discard all of that).

Though funny how I was called "indigo" by a new ager for questioning the authority of others, but after I questioned HER authority I was stripped of that title.

Who doesn't?

Hmmm...guess that would be me, but I do think I'm an exception and therefore not related to sun & Saturn being aligned...especially as mine are conjunct. But when I was younger I desired that, just like most everyone else (with individual unspoken assertions and definitions thrown in that favor themselves and their own views, of course), until I actually thought about what that would mean.

Thanks for your thoughtful answers.

Some people like bad experiences and think it toughens everyone up, Pixie, so they like things pretty much the way they are but I feel sad for people who experience a lot of hardship in their lives despite all the platitudes that it builds character, etc. I still feel bad for them.

Just so I'm clear, I don't like the world as it is...however, I do think the perfect world you dream of would be devoid of what makes life good and worth living as well, and yes, it does build character. Beyond that are insights I had into negative emotions as anger and hate (and how they're necessary though are often channeled wrong--just as the more positive emotions are also done in unhealthy ways at times) along with realizing how freedom and individuality are incompatible with your perfect utopia, as is personal growth. At it ultimate extreme it's a society in stasis, arguably perfect, but also arguably dead ended, and potentially still horrifying beneath the shiny exterior. Don't get me wrong, I'd like a better world, just not a perfect one without hate and suffering.

But that's not important, I just don't want what I think to be made into some trite strawman.

That aside, the important part is that MOST PEOPLE say they want a world without hate and suffering (even if they believe it impossible), and I think they even mean it without realizing the selfish motivations that typically taint such a wish. Most of those religions and new age books you mentioned being independent of also hold out hope for a perfect heaven and often even a "new Earth" that is perfect without hate, sin, or suffering. It's almost a universal desire in humanity, and therefore not an aspect of sun & saturn...especially when you consider that my sun & saturn are conjunct and that I no longer (as I once did) desire such a world as I consider it horrifying. So if anything, my sun & saturn are why I diverge from you the the vast majority of humanity on this.
