Our week ahead is probably going to feel or be rather difficult and full of momentous choices. We will let things go that no longer have the energy to continue as they once were. It will be a big departure week for folks who are having trouble making the energetic change of Saturn from fixed water Scorpio to mutable fire Sagittarius. Whenever the big planets change signs, the momentous shift of their energy seems to reflect major changes of things down here on earth. An old chapter closes. A new chapter begins.

A few years ago, The Life of Pi had a closing scene that kind of sums up the energy of the week ahead. The boy Pi and the Bengal Tiger were exhausted and starving after weeks at sea. Their boat finally washes ashore on a sandy beach. Pi pets the Bengal Tiger, who appears to be emaciated and dead. Pi crawls ashore and plants his face in the sand, passing out. The audience thinks the tiger has died and while we know Pi ISN’T dead ~ he’s narrating the story after all ~ we mourn the tiger’s death. Then Pi looks up from the sand to see the skinny, half-starved tiger staggering off into the jungle at the edge of the beach. The water journey is over, the vision journey begins. We are both Pi and the Tiger this week. We both made it (just barely). However, we may lose people who don’t have the stamina to continue….

Uranus and Pluto continue to travel forward together, separated by less than two degrees as they approach their final, seventh square on March 15. Their energy will continue to be intense for the next three months. I know. It feels like a long time. However, intense energy helps make us CRYSTAL CLEAR! Fragile folks may not be up for that level of intensity for that long so stay in regular touch with your depressed and/or highly sensitive folks. It is a high pulsing period for suicide. Impulse control is at a minimum. Despair can be at a maximum. Uranus is essentially sitting on the South Node of taking people out while Pluto whispers all is lost. The blessing of astrology is we know this is all transitory. It will eventually fade into a memory of enormous change in our live and our world. The blessing of karma reminds us that we incarnated to EXPERIENCE this energy at this time to help us find our proper path, serve our evolutionary purpose and morph into a butterfly from a caterpillar. We just have to believe and trust the process. We are right where we are supposed to be.

As Uranus and Pluto travel square to each other expect their tensions to continue to flow in the world around us. Look at your chart to see how they are stimulating it ~ 12:34 and 12:58 respectively right now through 15:16 March 16, 2015. Watch here change is fighting with power, chaos against control, freedom versus old ways, Aries asserting and taking action, moving while Capricorn claims existing structures and pushes to maintain established rock like stability. These two planets can show up bringing anxiety, power struggles and lack of sleep. They deliver a pushing, crazy making schedule. They can make all of us feel a bit crazed.

You can do a few things with this pulsing, relentless energy to help make it manageable. Share this information with your friends and family members who are having a tough time.

First ~ figure out where you are! As Uranus and Pluto square each other, they ask us to evolve. Expect continuing evolutionary pushes. Where do you feel the impact of the power YOU have? Where are YOU hearing the call of the wild and crazy? Everyone is experiencing this energy some place in your chart. You may be WATCHING other people go through it. YOU may be going through it. What are the evolutionary steps needed? Uranus and Pluto will be fussing, pushing, pulling, calling and poking at us to evolve and change. We can be BOTH of these energies, multiple times, in any given day. Evaluate are you Uranus ~ pushing for change or freedom or are you Pluto ~ seeking to take things to the depths? Each relationship in your life will bring this energy into contact with YOUR chart as the people you RELATE to are having it also.

Our culture reflects the energy in the heavens. Taylor Swift’s brilliant new single, BLANK SPACE, demonstrates the Pluto/ Uranus square above our heads beautifully, complete with the lyrics “So it’s gonna be forever (Pluto) Or it’s gonna go down in flames (Uranus) You can tell me when it’s over if the high was worth the pain.” And, YES, it can switch and change as quickly as it does in her video.

On December 23, Saturn entered Sagittarius until December 2017. Sagittarius is multiple candles ~ mutable fire. Second, work with that imagery: Light a bunch of votive candles. Put them in a clump. Distribute them around the room. Separate them. Leave them in clumps of three or five. Look at the combinations of light and how they enhance or stand alone. Saturn in Sagittarius asks us to pursue our vision. Jupiter, ruler of Sagittarius in Leo, encourages us to follow our heart path, wherever it wants to take us.

Third, this week Sun squares the Nodes of Fate facing a choice in how proceed ~ alone or in partnership? Sun in Capricorn, eminently practical, takes a different, lighter and more visionary approach as he’s ruled by Saturn in Sagittarius. What is your vision? After all, we’ve crawled out of the swamp and are standing around the bonfire on the shore. We wipe the mud and gunk from our eyes and approach the warmth of the fire. What is your vision?

Fourth, this week, Eris the Goddess of Discord and Envy stops and stations to turn Direct on January 9th on the World Axis of 22 Aries. The five days before and after an outer planet stations, we feel the energy building up. Eris is Mars’ sister. She’s relatively new on the scene, just discovered by the Hubble telescope, but she has made herself known quickly to be a harsh energy. The focus and awareness of the impact of bullying. The rise of haters and hate rhetoric. The “permission” to torture… all part and parcel of Eris’ gifts. So envy and discord is strong and pulsing this week. Watch where it shows up in your life. Use Eris’ energy to direct your passions towards what will bring you joy rather than focusing on the lower form of her manifestation.

Fifth, Mars in late Aquarius is going to set off the Uranus/Pluto square this week by semi-square. Mars is straddling the space in the middle of Uranus/Pluto, triggering their midpoint, stimulating them both, as well as the Nodes of Fate, on January 9 and 10. We feel the buildup of energy all week. Combining the three malefics with Eris stationing, there will be a whole lot of intense, crazy, unstable and rather destructive energy.

Sixth, figure out what will bring you joy. What brings you joy? Go toward THAT… Use the votive candle imagery. Venus is in Aquarius. Venus in our chart is where our joy is. To calm all the crazy down, go and experience joy. Venus is what we desire. Start your day with joy ~ whether it is dancing, swimming, singing, walking in nature, cooking, petting the cat, or sipping your tea while listening to Tibetan gong music. Once you start you day with Joy, the rest of the day, crazy as it may become, centers. And when it gets a bit crazy in that old world of ours, center and ground yourself by coming back to what brings you joy and connecting with it.

Seven, Ceres enters Capricorn until October 27, 2015 on January 8th. Ceres is in deep mourning as her child has descended to the underworld. She is answering to Saturn in Sagittarius. During her mourning period, she actually is incubating the future ~ she’s creating and dreaming as she tosses and turns in sorrow. Similar to how seeds need the dark of earth in winter to properly germinate, Ceres in Capricorn is germinating our new life path as various and sundry things fall away from us during this period of intense instability.

Eight, Dreams are VERY important right now. Neptune and Saturn are starting to talk in the sky and inviting us to revisit old dreams we left behind which may not be finished. Or they may hold the key to future dream of our life. Write them down and record the imagery. Work with it during your Joy sessions.

We enter a period of frequent day long void Moons because Saturn entered Sagittarius. The last degrees of the various planets are in early degrees in the zodiac. Take the day long void moons and use them to connect with your spiritual purpose on earth.

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, the Moon has harsh, separating closing aspects. Lots of letting go energies. Monday all day, Thursday afternoon and Saturday all day the Moon is void so kick back and take time to canoodle or nurture yourself. Friday is a kick butt Virgo Moon with good closing aspects, but Eris stations that day so the news could be harsh. Sunday Libra Moon has harsh closing aspects too. It is a week of releasing whatever we don’t need. Use it to release ALL SORTS of things as you are ready, willing and able to let them go.

Void Moons in the Week Ahead: When the Moon is Void, it is wise to avoid making important decisions as they tend to be unrealistic, and subject to false starts, errors or unexpected hassles. Avoid being concerned with things beyond your spiritual center. It is time for subjective, spiritual and non-materialistic concerns. Kick back, let life flow, and center yourself. Connect into your essential oneness with the Universal Forces.

Moon day Monday January 5, 2015 ~ Moon is in Cancer. Moon is void all day Monday. Sun’s square to the Nodes of Fate invites us to choose a path for our future. We are ready to roll once we get the vision in place. Mars sextile Cupido so you can find a new member of your tribe today ~ take action when you meet them. Mercury’s quintile to Uranus encourages a brilliant approach to a situation requiring change. You are in charge of how you respond… so take a strategic approach. Mercury’s sextile to Saturn encourages you to connect with your authority figures and talk to them about strategy and plans. Sun’s inconjunct to Juno puts a very public stress on relationships ~ watch for public relationship fights to play out across the news. There is a playful energy tonight. Mercury enters his shadow for his upcoming Mercury retrograde in a few weeks. Pay attention to Mercury issues that start to show stress, wear and tear. Back up your computers. Notice the themes that you’ll be working on during the retrograde as the Mercury reversal story starts to arrive this week.

Mars’s day Tuesday January 6, 2015 ~Moon enters Leo at 6:03 am EST and will go void Opposite to Mars so the next few days are full of angry or Martian departures. Moon in Leo argues with Mercury and Venus ~ people are feeling rather prideful and are not in the mood to listen. Or they think they are correct and not in the mood to listen. Mercury has an ability to notice the missing spaces today ~ what is left out or not said is perhaps more interesting than what is said. Focus on the missing information. Venus works with both Pallas and Pluto to point out patterns in the power dynamics of relationships in a positive and helpful manner. She’s detached and seeing things clearly even if others want to argue with her. Venus’ reality is based in what she individually sees and experiences. Flying high in intellectual air sign Aquarius, she’s not in the mood to be subservient to old situations that no longer match her dreams.

Wednesday Mercury’s day January 7, 2015 Moon is in Leo and goes void Opposite to Mars so separating energy is all around us. Moon’s trine to Uranus gets the day started with a bang and unexpected changes. In hindsight, you’ve known this was coming. Now you are facing the reality. Eris’ upcoming station starts to dig into this energy too so watch for envy or jealousy to flare. Mercury’s inconjunct to Hades makes dreams last night full of endings and changes. Pallas now squares Lilith pointing out where hidden subservient energy is. Yes, they DO feel there should be a different set of rules for them instead of what you have to follow. Consistency in regulations and rules is important now ~ pay attention to the hidden clauses. Chiron aspects the Nodes in a hurtful manner that requires adjustments. Hidden health issues can come to the forefront now. Late tonight Mercury’s sextile to Pallas discusses the various ways things can change. Take him up on it! Mercury is brilliant in Aquarius ~ able to see around corners. Take a long range approach to plans. WRITE THEM DOWN so Mercury has a to-do list to work with.

Jupiter’s Day Thursday January 8, 2014 ~Moon in Leo goes void Opposite to Mars at 12:05:38 pm EST. Moon enters Virgo at 05:58:54 pm EST. Moon is void Thursday Afternoon. The energy of Eris stationing is building to a pinnacle today. It’s a harsh energy of change. Mercury’s union with Pluto in the early morning brings news that can be difficult or harsh to hear. Dreams can be troubling. There can be trouble or problems around lungs or breathing. Make room for family members or friends that feel like family to talk over troubles or worries today. Ceres enters Capricorn until October 27, 2015 (she has a retrograde between June 3 and Sept 14.). It is time for disciplined nurturing. Discipline how you care for yourself. Apply a firm hand to your vision of how things need to be to nurture the new work, project or life chapter. Pallas contra parallels Eris ~ watch for and separate from folks that make you feel bad or are envious or double dealing about your life or your choices or your dreams. Don’t let others define for you what your vision for yourself is. There is room for a big misunderstanding or mixup this afternoon so double check what you hear or say. Make sure THEY heard you correctly… nuance is important so written words are a bit more treacherous than usual. Health matters need to be dealt with promptly.

Friday Venus’s Day January 9, 2014 ~ Moon is in Virgo and goes void Trine to the Sun so today and Saturday are productive. The problem is the other planets are really stressed out. So you can get TONS of things accomplished but you might run into folks who are having trouble keeping their emotions in check. A good day for solitary accomplishments. Health matters need to be dealt with promptly ~ GO TO THE DOCTOR or HOSPITAL ~ no fooling around with these aspects. Mars sets off Uranus by semi-square ~ stress around breaking free and moving towards your dreams. Mars squares Admetos ~ bringing situations to a final close! Be aware of losing your head as Algol is in the mix too. Eris stations to turn direct. Venus is quite sad over the permanent ending that took place today. Sometimes life is not fair.

Saturn’s Day Saturday January 10, 2015 ~ Moon in Virgo goes void Trine to the Sun at 10:46:37 am EST. Moon is void all day Saturday. Dreams are full of emotions and drama. Pay attention to them and write them down. Mercury says good bye to the situation that ends. There is no desire to be treated poorly today ~ any sort of dismissive or diminishing energy will be met with anger or irritation. Mercury and Venus in Aquarius meet up by declination. Venus is giving her list of desires and joys to Mercury. He’ll set about gathering them all up once he goes retrograde. Information heard today is the truth even if you don’t much care for what you’ve heard. Mars semi-squares Pluto creating enormous stress around power struggles and dynamics. Neptune’s square to Pallas teaches you that repetitive patterns are all about what we think we want. the dreams. Or they serve a purpose or reason. Today, you can let go of patterns that are not working for you and change them up. An old situation that you THOUGHT you’d resolved rears its head out of nowhere. Didn’t we solve that way back when? Nope. Gotta go through the solving process one more time. Mars aspects the Nodes of Destiny asking you to proactively act towards achieving your dream. Time to move toward that partnership that creates the life you want… It can be a romantic or a work partnership. All very connected and important, take definite steps toward the dream. Clear out your house of old, unwanted things.

Sun’s day Sunday January 11, 2015 ~ Moon enters Libra at 06:57:39 am EST. Today the intense energy eases up a bit. We might find we need day to reconnect with our inner being. Libra moon wants peace and quiet. Her sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius encourages a slow and steady day. Sun links up with Vesta clearing out old cobwebs from the cupboards you haven’t opened in a while. Time to pitch the expired stuff, the broken stuff, the things that don’t bring you joy any more. Lots of home and hearth activity today to get things in place or position for the future. Sun argues with Jupiter so overdoing or over emotions can trigger tears of either frustration or tiredness. When you focus on it, you can finish it. Focus and finish. Venus has a brilliant aspect with Eris so envy and jealousy can be turned into a useful tool for you. Partnerships are exhausted or tired too. Just stop talking and go to bed early. It was a long, long week and you need a good night’s sleep.
