Have you heard/read about this ideaology before? Basically the jist is that instead of elimination of economic classes, instead you wipeout everything a culture has to indentify itself, forcing everyone into a bland sameness.

I`ve read/heard this term thrown around alot these past few years. I`m concerned about it gaining more force during the time Saturn is in Sag.

There has been anti-immigration protests all over the west. Also the fact violent crimes are automatically more sensational when ethicnities or cultures aren`t 100% matched up with everyone involved in the incident.

While I have noted a hyper senstivity to `outsiders`outbreeding natives in most western countries, are the fears warranted in any degree?

To Western users: Do you think western culture would be/is so fragile that simply not having the majority would kill the culture all together?

Note: Many following this ideal are `white`. Hence a few say/feel their race/culture is being targeted to be, ironically enough, whitewashed.

I don't understand why you connect Saturn in Sag to so-called "cultural Marxism." Now maybe Uranus AND Neptune in Sag might promote something like what you fear...

But I used that phrase ("cultural Marxism") in quotes as I consider it a suspect term, but perhaps I've just had the bad luck to see it misused by the same people who like to spit out the word "socialism" (*) a lot without any understanding of what it actually is. And perhaps you mean something different by it...in any case I was very surprised to see you of all people use the term "cultural Marxism" which I consider a manipulative and loaded buzz word best discarded for rational and intelligent conversations and debate.

(*Just to prevent a misunderstanding, I don't see myself as a "socialist," however my Saturn conjunct Mercury in Libra on the Scorpio cusp, 3H at that loves to learn from as many sources as possible, absolutely detests the unclear use of language, and much more so when I consider it intentionally dishonest and manipulative--not to say you're being dishonest but you may be repeating those who are. Just because I have my beefs with socialism doesn't mean I give people a pass who use the term incorrectly in order to hate on it and turn it into yet another buzz word rather than an honest tool of communication.)

As for Saturn in Sag, the closest I can think of is I'd think it would test how those of different cultures got together and in the positive form people of different cultures could enjoy each other and be greater for the sharing...in the negative form where hate and bigotry are allowed to prevail then we fail the test and instead we'd see greater division and hostility.

Btw, Saturn in Sag may keep me away from LL so I'm not here as much (as it's transiting my 5H stellium and I intend to use it for some inner work)...just saying in case you're wondering why I don't reply to something (and I can easily forget threads that aren't plainly visible if I've been away a couple of days or so).

Yes I have. It is most definitely happening, except for your "Note". That part is wrong.
It is the other way round.
It's all the "white" nations which are being targeted.. by being deliberately flooded with hordes of immigrants to destroy national unity & the existing culture, cause internal conflict because of basic incompatibility, make it even harder for the existing citizens to find jobs, as well as driving wages down etc etc
(white people are only a small minority in the world today, and decreasing because the birth rate is very low)
A longterm expected goal is to extinguish the white race altogether.

It's a problem in Europe - I know France has deep issues that are complicated. In the uk, where I'm from, there are a lot of anti-immigration things coming to the fore and the media - including the BBC which at least used to be quasi-autonomous - is presenting a very disturbing reality.

I personally think the press has distorted the issue of austerity measures so that rather than questioning policy that benefits the rich, people scapegoat others. Austerity is socialism for the rich and capitalism for the poor but this is offset by messages there isn't enough money for people. I used to think this was an inherent nature of the media - that it's need to summarise and in a sensational manner led to the distortion and generally favouring the ruling classes. But the press here has taken a very sinister turn in completely obfuscating what is going on economically - that austerity is used to justify poor job choices and push people into contracts which favour enormously the rich. For example, privately owned homes for the sick and healthy which literally harvests those with poor job choices, pays them barely anything and can call them at all hours to work with no rights - these are often owned by people with political power. Basically there's a workforce treated like cattle and it serves those in power to have (apparent) economic depression - there's been no better time to be wealthy.

So in the sense of the government treating people as some bland workforce entity whilst the press have set up some odd imbalanced platform focusing on the ukip leader (anti-immigration) I think that's going on.

Cultural Marxism as a term does sound quite dangerous - I wouldn't have even noticed if pixie hadn't pointed it out. Like potentially delivering a nazi viewpoint (fear of a culture being wiped out), assigning it to socialism although as per my views above benefiting a capitalist wealthy class. I don't think you meant it that way either.

That actually helps me understand the weird focus on the ukip party in my country - as I think that's what's going on in summary. Prejudiced views delivered, socialism blamed (for its policy on immigration which is blamed for apparent economic depression) and the capitalist right wing are benefiting from those circumstances. That's exactly what's going on with this focus on ukip. Didn't understand why the BBC were doing that when all signs are they are influenced by and in favour of the conservative government.

Astrology: Didn't think of Saturn in sag contributing to this but it sounds an interesting idea. Jupiter and Saturn traditionally a collision of two cultures with different ideas/power things going on - is it seems to bring a sense of disaster with it

True. I don't support the idea. I find it concerning for many reasons.

I do wonder what other aspects could exacerbate this mindset.

I natally have Saturn in Sag (4th house) and I dont feel this way in the least.

I mean, I dont want people do divide because of skin color or cultural differences, on the contrary.
I LOVE different cultures.
I love to watch family and friends interact. I like to see how they celebrate, what they eat, how they talk, where they live (or use to live). I want to learn and know.

I want people to enjoy and celebrate everyone.

Well I would say the OP associates Saturn in Sag with Cultural Marxism because Saturn is restriction and Sagittarius rules foreign lands and cultures. If we put that together, we get the idea of restricting outer influence, which is what Cultural Marxism basically is, or at least that's how it was described above. It's simple and straight to the point.

But is Saturn not also teacher?

I sometimes see him as a teacher walking around the school room tapping a ruler in his hand

Yeah he teaches by putting all these rules and limitations on people. He's not the kind of teacher you'd like if it was in real life. He'd be the old and boring extremely strict teacher.

^^

That makes sense...but I have to disagree on Saturn being such a jerk, I just see him as very strict and grim yet fair (Saturn in Libra for me). Saturn plays a major part of my chart and I don't feel restricted or oppressed...well, save maybe from those in the US who like to use the phrase "cultural Marxism" in which they use to describe any force--including American--that seeks to prevent them from making everyone the same, but I've often laughed them off. Saturn tested me with them, I won, and Saturn nods grimly to me and lets me have the prize. (But having such a powerful Saturn in my chart probably makes it that I expect certain inconveniences in life that I deal with while others whine over the same things saying it isn't fair.)

But offhand I can only recall the phrase being used by bigots and ideological fanatics so maybe it's a legite phrase they've twisted to their own purposes rather than one they contrived in an attempt to "turn the tables" on everyone who doesn't march in step with them.

And with that explanation of why Saturn would cause cultural clashes I can see why they're in the news. The question is, will a few (preaching and practicing blanket condemnation of other cultures and people) dictate the tune to the majority or will those few trying to force a war find they've failed, their efforts turned against them yet again?

Saturn tests us all.

Agreed. I have Saturn in Aqua, so I actually like him as a teacher. You know you learn when he`s running the class.

I've seen cultural marxism thrown around so often, I linked it to xenophobia due to it's believers usually being anti-immigration And anti-race mixing.

With how they admit the 'white' numbers are going down, while 'colors' numbers are rising, it seems odd they trust their goverments, who`s corperations profit off cheap labor, to stop it and have thier backs.

Granted they claim western goverments are just a leftist/marxist/communist cesspool out to destory their own countries. So yeah...pray circle for them.

Saturn in Sag has also marked religious changes. Perhaps a few older ones will get the image change they need or maybe all the religious people will be thrown in jail as a preemptive stike against 'terror`'?

Or, and I`m super hopeful here, the people unite and get into power people who actually care more about them and the world over their own pockets?

Will laugh if they`re bitcoin funded.

This isn't the first time Saturn has transited Sagittarius. And, Greek culture survived 500 years of Muslim rule. Hebrew as a language was literally resurrected from the dead. Literally.

The real question is, can Muslim culture and values, whatever we may think of 'em, survive western domination?

The real fight is against he empire, but it's too big and too scary to confront directly.

I have Saturn in Aries. He's kind of a d*ck to Aries lol although I can understand Aries is sort of an impatient little brat. Maybe that's why I hate Saturn so much second to Neptune.

I am hoping this transit in Sagittarius will help people realize that you can't blame one race for the actions of some that belong to the same race. I have quite a few muslim friends who are victims of religious discrimination. And what with that "KillAllMuslims" hashtag that's trending on Twitter right now, I am thinking it's gonna get a lot worse before it gets better :/
