Hi! I was wondering about the role of essential dignities in aspects of the natal chart.

For example, I have an aspect of Venus square Saturn in my natal chart.

Venus is in Libra - happy in its domicile, and Saturn's exaltation.

Saturn is happy and strong in Capricorn.

Would that make that square less damaging as Saturn *likes* Venus in Libra?

I would think the essential conflicts would still arise (earning money versus spending money, career versus love), but the conflicts would be straight forward, not twisted into some unusual channel (for example Venus in Scorpio square Saturn in Aquarius)
