Every few months, I cannot help but withdraw from the world.. I suddenly feel like I don't want to see anyone, don't want to go out, and don't want to communicate with anyone... I stay at home, and spend time mostly listening to music, watching movies, drinking and sleeping. During this time, I take a long nap. It's not depression or something like that, I think, because I have no suicidal ideation, I can eat as usual, for example.

It's as if the motor inside me were turned off.
Every time I become like this, my friends worry about me, and ask me whether I am okay or not, whether they did anything bad to me etc..
In fact, I don't know why this happens to me LOL and currently I am in this situation. From tomorrow I have to work, but I have no energy!!

If possible, I don't want this to happen to me anymore..

Do you see any suggestions in my natal chart and any advice or recommendation on this matter from the viewpoint of astrology?

I experience this, but my cycle is much shorter than a few months. It'll be interesting to see what the astrologers say about your aspects...

Violet,

I'm not going to tell you that you cannot set into play a different pattern for yourself, but understand it may take more time than you'd like and it will take some intentional personal reconfiguring -- not because anything is wrong, but because you've gotten to a point at which this pattern no longer serves you.

About how I believe it is serving you for now...

Mercury conj Mars in Pisces is a factor of sensitivity that can lead to sensory/emotive/mental overload and requiring of cleaning periods in which you can rediscover your essential self amid the swirl of people and goings-on around you.

This is even more true considering how your chart is solidly set within an airy/social/relating dynamic.

My wife also has Mars in Pisces ( w/ Scorpio rising, Moon at MC) and and she goes through something similar. She works in customer service and just gets to where she has so much of people at work that she doesn't want anything to do with anyone but me at home.

Take this as a sign that you are a person who seeks balance and sanity. If you weren't you'd probably be engaging in drama instead. Music, movies, time to yourself -- all good things.

What I recommend is starting with good nutrition -- be sure you are getting all the good nutrients your brain/nervous system needs:
- B-vitamins
- Minerals
- maybe an herb or two that smooth out the nervous system, encourage better rest.

Four planets in Retrograde may have something to do with it. I Have 3 and I'm kind of like that.

You have many retrograde planets in your charts.. maybe this adds why you're turning inward.

You are not totally withdrawn from the world!
You are still connected to us thru this forum

Your Saturn and Jupiter is currently opposed by transit Uranus/NN. I think that's heavy!

I have this too. After I went out with my friends/party I need to be at home by myself and just chill out for some days. On these days I am totally happy, I just feel I have to recharge my batteries.

I have Mars conj Mercury in Capricorn, no planets in retrograde and Saturn in 11th Aquarius.

No advice, but I sympathize completely.

I am going through it now and it's pretty extreme this time because it's affecting my work. It's hurting me financially, but I have no motivation to engage with clients.

Ugh. This is my third 'cycle' of this over the last 6-8 months. I *think* maybe it's my transit Neptune opposite my natal Saturn, but I am not sure.

Edit: I just looked at mine and I am going through transit NN conjunct natal Pluto. Maybe that could be it too. *shrugs*

What kind of transits are you going through?

@Kannon McAfee

Thank you very much for your insight into my chart and your concrete advice!!

Today I got some herb tea and tablets containing Vitamin-B and minerals
I usually drink alcohol whenever this happens. This is my first time to try other things.

Like your wife, in the situation like this, I become only available for those who are really really close to me, the one I love..

Thank you very much!!

@SDragon
You have 3 retrograde planets!! What do you do whenever you fall in this kind of mood?

@Faith
I didn't know that! Maybe I am a little bit antisocial :P

@YellowGerbera
Thank you very much for your kind words and your analysis of my chart!
I hope I can gradually get out of this...

@LaGioconda
So, Mars conjunct Mercury seems to be one of the reasons for this..

@Geeky
I feel sorry for you... yes, this time it is somehow very extreme.
In my case, my mind is floating away, I cannot focus on anything, I am more absent-minded than usual (I am basically somewhat absent-minded :P). I feel disconnected from the world..

My transit Neptune conjunct my natal Mercury and Mars,square my natal Moon, Uranus and Ascendant. My transit NN conjunct my Jupiter and Saturn..

Of course you can!!!

Nothing wrong with withdrawing from the world! This is when you learn the best about yourself AND the world because you get to study/observe the world from different angles. Take your time to meditate All is well with you. Smile!

You have the exact same chart as my friend of many years

I am guessing that you were born around the 7-10th of Feb 1981?

My friends is much like you; locks himself away from the world. But in his case,it's the "sociability" that is periodic- not the isolation.He has Asc in Cap

With wanting to withdraw from the world,I would look at the air houses i.e 3rd house cusp,7th house cusp and 11th house cusp.

If either of the rulers aspects a planet in an introverted sign-especially Pisces,Cap ,Scorpio,Taurus. Then I would conclude that the individual may have a limit to the contact they have with the world.

Your 3rd house cusp is Leo; ruler is the Sun.The Sun is in Aquarius.

Now Aquarius is co-ruled by Saturn.But I don't view this sign as much of a person who breaks away from others to "re-group".

The breakaway is usually because of differing ideologies or the way the Aquarius wants to live its life- away from imitating others and social "group think" etc.

But the Sun forms a square aspect with Uranus in Scorpio(BAM!!). Scorpio is heavily introverted and often "cuts itself off" from external involvement.

Your 7th house cusp is Sag;ruler Jupiter conjunct Saturn in Libra.

Saturn usually restricts but in Libra, I don't see it going over-drive as to having someone be a hermit. So I will put this aspect at a "neutral" 4 on a scale of 1-10.

11th house cusp is Aries;ruler Mars in Pisces(BAM). Pisces energy anywhere gets tired a lot and needs time away to reboot.

You can never ask Pisces to be "on" 24/7. They will get sick or simply collapse from emotional exhaustion.

Add to that,Mars being in Pisces enjoys a conjunction to Mercury also in Pisces(double BAM BAM!!!)

Relax. Kick off your shoes and chill for now. We will see you again soon

Look at your progressed chart.

Ever since my progressed moon and Asc change I've been similar.

@YellowGerbera

Thank you
Actually, 2 days ago, I suddenly got better, and started hanging around with my friends and going out :P I am very positive now..

@Aries23Degrees
Oh, yes, very close! actually 13th!
Thank you very much!!

I look at my chart at Astro.com and it says, my 3rd house cusp is Cancer.
I am a beginner, so I don't know whether something like this "1st/Gemini, 2nd/Gemini" can happen or not, but according to the website, it is like this; 1st/Gemini, 2nd/Gemini, 3rd/Cancer, 4th/Leo, 5th/Virgo, 6th/Libra, 7th/Sagittarius, 8th/Sagittarius,@9th/Capricorn, 10th/Aquarius, 11th/Pisces, 12th/Aries).

I am still a beginner, but I try to take a look at this based on what you wrote!
Since my 3rd house cusp is Cancer, the ruler is the Moon, and my Moon is in Gemini.. and Gemini is ruled by Mercury. So, my retrograde Mercury in Pisces might be one of the reasons for this?? Should I interpret my 3rd house cusp like this?

@Barbiegirl19
I looked at my progressed chart, but I don't know how to get the information on when my moon and Asc changed.
From Sun to Mars and Ascendant, only mercury is the same one.
Sun/Pisces, Moon/Virgo, Mercury/Pisces, Venus/Pisces, Mars/Aries, Ascendant/Cancer..

Once again,proof that one should never assume things and jump to conclusions. I was just basing my analysis on the position given.

Post your whole chart.I will tell you how I reach certain conclusions.

I have Moon conjunct Vesta in Taurus. I was reading here
http://theinnerwheel.com/2011/05/20/driven-towards-the-sacred-vesta-part-two/

that Vesta touching one of your relationship planets can cause you to need to withdraw. It's a good read. I thought of this thread when I read it.

The only thing I wonder about is they're (moon & vesta) conjunct my MC...

I have this also. And I believe it could be due to the fact that I have 5 planets retrograde.

Mars in pisces also makes me want to close up and withdrawal from too many people some times.

And with t.nept starting it's opposition to my saturn.. I believe I have overdone it.

It's been almost 3 months now that friends & ppl are wondering where have I gone missing.

I give them a call from time to time to reassure them that it is nothing personal, just need my space and time to figure out a few things
