If you compare two birth charts with the possibility of a soulmate or karmic connection in mind, how do you rate the individual karmic lessons?

In this concrete examble: There's two people I know with a very heavy composite 12th house including sun, mercury, part of fortune, north node, juno and several more asteroids. The ruler Saturn is retrograde in the 5th house. In synastry, there's lots of oppositions, including sun-moon double whammy, a multiple Osiris/Isis/axis-connection, Vertex-Saturn double whammy, more Saturn connections...and so forth. Overall, this looks like a karmically heavy synastry/composite. I'd say it would definetely point towards a soulmate connection. Possibly even twin flames.

What confuses me is the fact that in their individual charts, they seem to have shared karmic patterns. Both are very heavy on Mars/Saturn issues and both have indicators of having karmic connections to children aswell. I'm confused about this particular aspect of twin flame theory... So what do you think: Would twin flames have similar or rather exakt opposite karmic life lessons?

Twin souls are supposed to complete each other. Fill each others gaps, so to speak. I would say it could make sense to assume that they can only do that if they have contrary issues, thus complimenting each other.

On the other hand, sometimes we see our own gaps clearer when we see them in others. Law of attraction would also more likely attract people into our lifes who have similar issues.

So what do you think? What would make YOU assume a twin flame connection - similar or opposite patterns?

But the deeper I look into the charts, and especially taking the real life manifestations into account, the more I feel that they have similar issues, but some of them on different levels... for instance, both seem to have intimacy issues, she on a physical level, he on an emotional. I also found that some of their karmic issues, whilst of similar nature, point in different directions, so to speak...

For example: Her south node is in her first house, his north node in Aries. I read it so that she could bring the strength and individuality she developed in a past life to help him develop his in this life.

TAking another aspect into account, it puts a bracket around the whole thing - her karmic task being to become a true partner (north node in 7.) is reflected with her Juno in exact conjunction with his north node. Meaning: Bringing her 1st house qualities into helping him develop his aries aspects might eventually help her become the true partner that she needs to be (Juno).

I guess both north nodes in trine might help these two... funnily enough: LIke I mentioned above, they both have indicators of having children with karmic connections aswell. The male partner has a son from a former relationship that he's incredibly close to. The son's north node makes a grand trine with the other two. So who knows, there might be a long lost family growing back together ;-)
