any way to distinguish the way people walk in terms of their rising signs? or is this being far fetched lol

i know a gentleman who tends to stride into a room with such a proud presence, but its a slow stride as opposed to a scorpio quick step. trying to determine his rising sign. any takers? he is also muscely, dark features, medium height, thick dark hair (with shaved sides) and a thick neck - also a singer

I think Mars/Mercury/Moon is also connected to movement.Someone started a thread on this a while back. Not sure if it was eventually setteld as to which planets/houses rule physical movement

For some reason,I think the 1st/7th,4th,5th and 6th house cusps must also be included.

1st/7th axis-approach the world

4th-family traits and walking style i.e "you walk like your father" etc.

5th-how one expresses themselves

6th-ones health and nervous system.

The reason I included the 6th is because our health/state of it, influences our physical movement.

People who limp for instance, have that walk as their signature trait that other people identify them with.

I'm debating on houses being relevant, but Moon Mercury and Mars makes sense. My Moon and Mercury are in the 11th, and I walk weird. Walking is a very conscious effort for me, especially when I'm going down hallways with people waiting on the side.

I thought I'd share the difference between how me and my mom (both Leo ASC) walk.

Maybe it's all her practicing, pretending, and actually having been a model, but she has a very conscious and graceful way of moving (at least when sober). Like a model there's a slight lean to her, she tends to walk with one foot right in front of the other, keeps most of her weight on the balls of her feet, has a very poised composure that can be imperious, sometimes with one or both hands on hip (even when walking). "I'm sexy and I know it" could be her theme song.

As for me...well I only have the word of others to go on, though I know I don't walk like Mom or put my hands on my hips as she does (unless it's for a very deliberate and typically silly reason, including doing an impression of my mother that makes relatives of mine laugh), yet like her I often walk on the balls of my feet and I'm also poised, but in a more unassuming/casual yet balanced way. Whereas Mom's walk demands attention I've learned to make noise when I walk so that I don't surprise people and have been called a "ninja" before. I've also been called Koshka ("She-cat") mostly for my metaphoric and often literal ability to land gracefully on me feet (even if I have to tumble to them) but also for my walk (which again can be very quiet).

I surmise that this became a habit for me growing up in a home filled with dysfunctional and potentially violent alcoholics and I sometimes had to sneak out without attracting attention (and I've witnessed intense fights that surprised the 'rents when they learned I'd seen it and Mom herself said she didn't know I was around half the time and it annoyed her when she'd return to the kitchen to find evidence of my having been there but never saw me come or go). So Mom practiced her way and I practiced mine and it had an affect on each of us.

Yet both of us often get described as feline (and both of poised who tend to use the balls of our feet to walk, but to different effect)...though Mom is more like the pampered white haired Persian longhair (but thinner than many) while I'm more the short hair (and darker) alley cat that's more athletic and toned than Mom. And maybe that's the Leo essence we both share manifesting itself.

In public, I walk kind of fast off to the side trying to avoid everyone, not make eye contact and get where I'm going

When I'm alone I walk slowly and appreciate everything around me. Lol

I am a Leo rising with Virgo Mars in the 1st

Oh yes the feline comparison applies here. In public: think of the cat that doesn't want to be pet and slinks its back to avoid your hand when you try to. Stealth.
In private: prowling around observing and amused by the surrounding nature.

My walk style is bumping into as many things, that appear invisible to me, as possible.

Virgo Asc

PS. Once my granny told me, that I won't die of natural causes She has a Scorpio stellium, including Sun, so I trust her intuition

According to my husband, I walk with my head up and shoulders back. I'm confident and like to have fun and walk that I way I guess. I'm pretty slow but I'm sure it's due to my legs being short.

Libra rising.

I do have Moon conjuct Mercury with my Mars squaring both.

Aries23Degress's response I agree with.

I can see the Mars and moon in my walk.

Gemini Mars - If I'm walking to get exercise, and I do that a lot, I'm moving pretty fast and cannot stand to walk next to anyone who will slow me down.

Pisces moon - Languid walk on other occasions. My husband calls it "drifting." When I watch myself in videos, I'm surprised at how I glide along, as inobtrusively as I possibly can be.

Leo ASC, but trine Neptune

If I want to project confidence and strength, I can. And various people over the years have said I seem intimidating, before they even met me, because usually if I'm heading into a new social situation, I assume a Leo ASC/ Capricorn sun "demeanor." Erect posture, head up, serious face, very deliberate movements. But anyone who's ever said that has, to my knowledge, changed their minds once they started talking to me...

One friend who told me "I would be intimidated by you if you weren't my friend" said, a few years later, "You should work harder on not being a doormat."

I walk fast, very esp for a short person.
Head up, shoulders back....pick my feet up. I'm very aware of my posture for some reason.

Libra rising conjunct Pluto
