Topic: Why can I guess a person's moon, but not their ascendant?

On forums, and occasionally in real life, I like to try and guess a person's ascendant. I get a "gut" feeling just by looking at the person and 80% of the time I'm right.. but I guess their moon, not their ascendant. What am I doing wrong? I thought a person's ascendant had to do with their looks, not their moon. Any advice will help! Thanks.  Virgo Sun in 8th

Leo Mercury in 8th
Leo Venus in 8th

Ascendant is about how people appear to the world for example a reserved rising with an outgoing sun will look reserved to strangers but very talkative to close family/friendsIP: Logged |

Moon rules over the eyes and a person's facial expressions, so perhaps if you give focus to those it would cause you to guess the moon sign rather than the ascendant sign.IP: Logged |

I guess their Moon and Mercury Rarely their Sun or AC. But I haven't had as much practice with AC, because many people don't have their accurate Ascendant - even those who think they do.I completely agree that the Moon has an impact on eyes and facial expression. Mercury is also visible in the eyes imo.

you're probably focusing more on things they say (or write, in forums) and that would clue you in more to the moon. any personal or written interaction with someone increases your chance of guessing another placement, because you're hearing them talk, express opinions, etc. as soon as you interact with someone you kinda lose that ability to see the ASC because you get clouded by other stuff they are doing/saying and can pick up the other signs easier. you should just look at photos of people you don't know if you're attempting to guess ascendants.IP: Logged |

Because i think the moon is a very strong effect in someones chart. Like for example i always thought scorpio moons have had the famous "eyes" more than scorpio risers. My experience with scorpio risers is that i find them to have more of a strict face but often times i haven`t seen them with the super intense penetrating eyes, just a strict reserved face. Maybe you tend to look at ppl with your heart more than your mind. You identify ppl by how they felt to you more than what they looked like?
I have a tendency to the same.
I think it's because I feel ppl emotionally more than I look at them physically.
Their appearance can be prettier to me than they "actually" are if I feel a lot of depth and big heart.
Pretty ppl don't look pretty to me if they feel cold.
I have a hard time just looking at someone physically.
I watch the glimmer in their eye, their body language, the way they carry themselves and I can see their confidence or lack of it, the amount they care for others around them...all of that makes up their appearance to me. Your moon is in a deep water house like mine, makes us very intuitive and intuition is felt from the heart. Virgo moon is in 12th
My Moon/Venus midpoint is my AC, not sure if that has a lot to do with how I look at ppl or not? Does your AC fall in a hard aspect to any midpoints? Just curious.... IP: Logged |

I'm a Pisces Moon and in the same case. I can guess a person's Moon more often than not, but I'm completely lost with ascendants and even suns.IP: Logged |
