I have been thinking about this for a while now. All of us experience some transits now, some of us will never experience them, some of us already did. My claim is, when a planet goes through a transit it is never the same. I believe that transits are capable of run for a life time, not as strong as it was during the conjunctions to natal planets but they keep lingering in the background.

For example, a sag Venus who never had a Saturn transit will be dramatically different from a sag Venus who experienced a Saturn transit. I speculate that the 'sagginess' will be saturnized (stabilized maybe?). (Yea, I know the former Sag Venus is probably partying at heaven with Kurt Cobain)

I'm willing to go deeper on this issue, so I would be glad if you could share your ideas, books, references etc.

Yes I like this theory! I've been thinking that after a planet goes through a transit either to another planet or through a house it sort of "carries" that transit with it.

I'm just exploring transits. Right now I am going through a transiting Pluto opposing my Venus. Since I work from home and homeschool my children, I am not out in the public unless I want to be, but the feelings are still intense. I get angry in a way I am not accustomed to. I get depressed too. That's also not like me. I have Venus sq. Pluto in my natal. I wondered if this would feel worse if I didn't already have that hard aspect to Venus. I don't know. I am only aware of that aspect in my natal chart when I am involved/in love/invested. But this transit seems to intensify all interactions. I am mean to everyone except my children. For some reason they don't bug me- lol. Maybe people with whom I can have any kind of sexual tension at all are driving me crazy. I just want them to behave and think and feel the way I want them to. It doesn't have to do with sex and relationships either. It's just that if there is any interest at all on my end or their end, I can be set off really quickly by things that don't have anything to do with sex or relationships. There's a man I know is attracted to me. He's older than I am and admires me. He is always supportive of me, so I should be gentle with him. Lately he annoys me to no end, and I am constantly tempted to abuse him or manipulate him using my sexuality. But I don't. Those days are gone. I don't do that stuff anymore, so I am just really annoyed with him ...I did end a serious committed relationship a few weeks ago. I had been trying to end it for some time. When I ended it, I just made the decision and did it- like taking bad medicine. On the same day, after I ended it, someone told me I was going through a Pluto opposite Venus transit.

So yeah, transits can definitely change your life forever. Maybe the longer transits can change the character of a planet and its aspects (just kind of guessing here). For sure the transits can affect life changing decisions. 5 years ago, transiting Pluto sat right on my Vertex when I met a man in his late 50s from Sweden (I was 29). I fell in love with that man. Nothing ever happened. I never even expressed my feeling for him, but my love for him changed my life, my life path, the way I see myself, everything.

You are absolutely correct.Once someone goes through a transit, they are seldom left the same.

But I would like to say that for me,it is the slowest moving planet-Pluto that really packed a punch.

Pluto went through my natal Sun in 2008.I made up my mind to come out to my Mom when it went direct and conjunct to my Sun(after the retrograde hit)in late November 2008.

This year I am watching Uranus and Jupiter. Uranus was direct all the way up to 16 Degrees Aries last year in July 2014(before going retrograde).

This year it'll go direct and cross the 16 Degree mark once again in April-squaring my natal Mercury exact.

Jupiter will go direct in April too at 12 Degrees. It'll then cross my natal Saturn later that month by square-exact.

I anticipate the square to Mercury will affect my 3rd,6th and 9th house. The square to Saturn will affect my 7th,10th and partly 11th house.

The more exact the transit I have found. The more potent it can be.

Hi Aries,

I am sorry. I think at some point I made an assumption about your gender. Very sorry about that. You are so gracious, you never mentioned it.

I just started to look at transits- when I say just, I mean just. I can't get as specific as you yet, but I have to agree about Pluto. As Pluto has moved through houses 3, 4, and 5, I have been able to trace every life changing event (3 so far) to transiting Pluto. I am sure there is SO much more to look at, but this is such a fascinating start to my investigation and adventure.

I know that through every relationship I learn about myself and life. I value every interaction because there is a lesson in it. I don't regret any romantic relationship, even if it was a waste of time, because now I know what a waste of time looks like when I see it coming. does this mean I would pay special attention to planets aspecting Venus and maybe Mercury since I value learning above all else, except love?
