I wanted to add a couple more that I think are great. I attribute these to Saturn conjunct Ascendant."I know I have to grow old, but I hope I never have to grow up" (anon) And this one was put up on a semi recent thread here by a LL member but I can't remember who it was- "Working hard for something we don't care about is called stress. Working hard for something we love is called passion" Simon Sinek. IP: Logged |

I haven't read the play, only seen the film. Beckett had Mercury square Neptune, natally. He also had merc square uranus which speaks to his work as a whole imo.. But I dunno I didn't think of neptune when I watched it. mostly saturn. saturn vs jupiter maybe... restriction vs expansion.. I didn't know he was a Scorpio AC.

^^^ I like that one! Mercury being my dominant planet and all, but it's 12th so I don't talk so much except for a few that I'm close with. IP: Logged |

12th house!! One of my favorite quotes. “Little do men perceive what solitude is, and how far it extendeth. For a crowd is not company, and faces are but a gallery of pictures, and talk but a tinkling cymbal, where there is no love.” Francis Bacon Merely coincidence, but according to Astrotheme he had Mercury in the 12th! Myself having Mercury, Venus, and Mars. IP: Logged |

And I just love this quote. I think it is the truth whether you have a placement in the 12th house or not....but maybe that's because I have Sun in 12... Excellent quote. I haven't read them all. IP: Logged |

I have a lot of favorite quotes, but I've had a hard time trying to pin them on a placement or aspect (or sign/planet).************************************** I say Pluto for this one. “Beware that, when fighting monsters, you yourself do not become a monster... for when you gaze long into the abyss the abyss gazes also into you.” ~Nietzsche Another favorite is this one. I would say Mars in Sag (which I don't have, but this seems sort of Sag-like to me). “Anger is not bitterness. Bitterness can go on eating at a man's heart and mind forever. Anger spends itself in its own time.” ~Madeleine L'Engle Eta: I just remembered that Madeleine L'Engle was a Sag Sun, so I suppose Sag fits. IP: Logged |

I haven't seen Sucker Punch yet but this quote from it immediately made me think of my Saturn in Libra (Scorpio cusp) stellium (Sun, Merc, Venus, Saturn, Pluto) sextile Sag stellium (moon, Mars, Uranus, Neptune), especially growing up and during my Saturn return squared Cappie Pluto: "And finally this question, the mystery of who's story it will be. Of who draws the curtain. Who is it that chooses our steps in the dance? Who drives us mad? Lashes us with whips and crowns us with victory when we survive the impossible? Who is it that does all of these things? Who honors those we love for the very life we live? Who sends monsters to kill us, and at the same time sings that we will never die? Who teaches us what's real and how to laugh at lies? Who decides why we live and what we'll die to defend? Who chains us? And who holds the key that can set us free ...?
It's You. You have all the weapons you need. Now FIGHT!" That (without context of the movie), I believe, is what Saturn-Pluto sextile Mars-moon has taught me. IP: Logged |
