So i'm wondering if anyone could tell me about if there is an attraction with people who have personal planets conjunct your DSC, even if they're not aspecting your personal planets or chart ruler..

What I've always heard is that you attract people with those characteristics, not necessarily that sign. True in my case. Aries is my DSC and I've only BRIEFLY dated one Aries. IP: Logged |

Yes. One guy had venus on my dsc and one had mars on my dsc. Definite attraction on my part. I dated the venus guy so at least in that instance the attraction was mutual. IP: Logged |

Did they make aspects to your personal planets? I have pluto conjunct my ascendant therefore every man with planets conjunct my dsc is opposing my pluto (chartruler) i always thought that's why i'm attracted.. Not the dsc conjunction perse IP: Logged |

Yes we do have some personal planet aspects. With mars guy, my Venus trines his Mars and is in quindecile with his Pluto. With Venus guy his Venus is conjunct my neptune and my Venus opposite his Pluto. I do think personal planets conjunct the DSC by itself can generate attraction though. Then again my NN is also there so that could have something to do with it for me. IP: Logged |

yes. his moon is exactly conjunct to my DSC. i made absolutely sure he had the birth time correct because that was such a strong aspect. it is more that i like the whole person rather than just the looks or one thing in particular. the synastry is fairly good, but his moon doesn't aspect anything else, except the ASC by opposition, right. we've been friends 10 years and he's happily married, so i would never go there but, if he was a single man i would date him and, to my knowledge, he feels similarly.IP: Logged |

It's pretty potent.I can tell whenever a woman has a Scorpio placement because I find that aspect of her personality completely hot and attractive. Most of my relationships/flings have had Scorpio placements. Usually Venus or Sun are the culprits. I just started dating someone now and she has Sun and Mercury in Scorpio which means her Sun and Mercury is in my 7th house conjuncting my Sun and Mercury. We met at a party and stuck to each other like magnets talking the entire night. But it also helped that my Mars is in a sign conjunction of her 7th house Aries. It's in her 6th but I find that the sign conjunction is enough. What I found surprisingly strong was my Venus in Libra conjunct her Ascendant in Libra. We really found eachother's mannerisms and other ways of carrying ourselves incredibly endearing. I felt this energy much stronger than the DSC stuff. IP: Logged |

I've had two serious unrequited crushes in my life. Both of them had their sun tightly conj my DSC. The first one I was 15 when I met him and he really was the sun to me. It took me years to get over him. The second was just recently. He wasn't really my type and the plan was to meet each others friends. But as soon as I met him in person I was smitten. It never went anywhere with either of them and I guess it's because of little connection other than their sun on my DSC. IP: Logged |

I'll second this experience. Their Sun on my DSC has been the culprit of unbalanced crushes. I don't say unrequited because I'm certain there usually is some mutual interest. It just seems like the DSC person feels it way more and the Sun has the tendency to not match it. It always feels really nice to have 7th house overlays but I value Mars-Venus for the consistency.

I wonder if the sign your DCS falls in affects the nature of your attraction to people who have planets conjunct your descendant or that fall in your 7th house.I mean, I can definitely commit to an Aqua (my DSC), and I can even love an Aqua the way they tend to need to be loved. We make great friends. We make great partners in humanitarian causes. I can give an Aqua all the space he needs, a little too much space. I end up drifting away... Anyway I can commit, but for me, it is never intense, it is just about the sameness of ideas. For me the DSC indicates an affinity that can built upon. Not earth moving without other aspects. Now my Asc, MC, and IC fall in Leo, Taurus, and Scorpio. I would say that the Asc connection is fast, fiery, and just nuts. The IC connection is the most deeply felt and intense (water). I'm not sure about the earth MC...I think I don't know about the MC because I haven't been in a long term relationship with someone who's planet was conjunct my MC. Anyway, I wonder if the nature of the DSC attraction has to do with the actual sign, no matter the planets. I've had venus conjunct, and venus, mars, moon in my 7th house. Lisalisa, I think the fact that your Pluto opposes every man's planet that conjuncts your DSC is significant. Those Pluto aspects are crazy. IP: Logged |

Well, yes. Unrequited was not really the right word. I like it better as it's more dramatic! LOL. In the first crush it took years, literally years for him to decide that he was interested. Of course, at 15 and him 18 I was only a kid to him. But by that time I just didn't believe he was "really" interested. It still took a few more years to get over him. The second one, he was sort of somewhat kinda interested. But not enough for him to do anything about it. That one didn't last as long as it could have because I'm grown up enough to deal with it and move on. The feelings I got from him did hit me like a brick though.

See, I think it's the other way around. You attract based on your Asc & are attracted based on your Dsc.
Eg. If your Asc is red, then you are RED. You won't attract someone looking for black or white. You will attract someone who likes the color red, your Asc, you. OTOH, as RED you will then be looking for your complimentary color, Green. So, while you will attract to yourself lovers of Red, what you're really looking for is a Green among that group. Thus, if we're talking who/what is attracted to you, that would be your Asc. If we're talking about what you like/looking for, that would be your Dsc.

I have Virgo ASC/Sun/Venus/NN, Pisces DSC. However, I don't feel much attracted to nor attract Virgo and Pisces. I tend to attract and attracted to people with personal planets in Aquarius/Gemini/Cancer/Capricorn/Taurus. Virgo and Pisces are their outner planets. IP: Logged |
