For an example, I am myself very serious whenever I got to write something down in text. I don't know why, but I always get this very "serious touch" with whatever I have to write (blogs, texts, messages, different tasks etc.)

But I find it very joyful and entertaining when I read something that is a bit witty/funny or just plain sarcastic

So I just wondered what might influence people in their chart to write things in a funny tone. Like it is not something they force themselves to do, it just happens automatically?

I got libra mercury myself in 4th house, square jupiter, saturn and neptune in 6th house, and I ain't funny at all (on text) but I don't find myself dry at all in the real world, I actually enjoy laughing and having a good time most of the time (venus and pluto in 5th house)
Virgo sun!

Tell me your placements and whether you like to write things down in a serious or UNserious way?

There you go! You just said it, it's your Mercury Sq Jupiter. Any Mercury/Jupiter aspects enables a person to be sarcastic in their writing, even in speech.

We share the same aspect.

Despite the fact that I am NOT funny on text... I think my english and my overall language is not especially good... I found that people who are very good at expressing themselves in general (with words and in written form too) is the best writers.. and if they got that funny witty side to them, thats the key! But what in the natal could make you this way? Besides mercury/jupiter?

Haha I think you must be right on this, it's too easy to make you laugh then (which isn't a bad thing besides)

Anyone with a strongly placed Mercury is going to have a very witty, very sarcastic sense of humor, whether it's spoken or in print. I think Mercury is where our sense of humor mostly comes from, in general.

I have Mercury in Virgo sextile Moon, conjunct Mars, trine Uranus, Neptune, and Saturn.

Sarcasm is my middle name. I find that kind of ironic, smart-ass, quick humor way funnier than the goofy, silly humor.

Jupiter, I think, is much goofier. It's a more clownish, pratfall type of humor, where as Mercury's humor is about being sharp and quick-witted. It's verbal humor and that's much more my forte.

damn...my old history teacher probably had a super strong mercury. all he did was crack jokes and sound sarcastic to every student he had. even me! i never knew how to respond to his wit. i'd just seethe in silent rage and hate myself for not having a comeback. my mercury has literally no "beneficial" aspect to it. just a sh*t ton of sesquiquadrates, squares and quincunxes.

Hmm I do think saturn, mars and maybe pluto would cool that funny wibe off... jupiter would probably put some more goofy in it. And in general I think easy aspect to mercury would make someone speak more easy (thoughts better connected to what is actually spoken) and one would be more lucky with finding the right words?

What house is your mercury located in?

Haha I feel this way too, with some people. With others we just kind of "get each others humor" and laugh our a** of.

My mercury is also really difficult and afflicted, but it is really one of the dominant planets in my chart. Aaaand it's retrograde to...and in an angular house.

So, speaking fluently, fast and witty is not my biggest talent...

Also, some people just seem to be really quick witted, and they were usually just either born/gifted this way, or they got some certain aspect....I just sill wonder what they are

I think you're right. I'm rarely ever at a loss for words and I know that's my Mercury at play. Even if I don't know exactly what to say, I've found that if I just let myself keep thinking, I'll get there pretty quickly. Some people think before or after they speak. It seems like I often think WHILE I speak, like the processes are simultaneous. Maybe other Mercurial people can relate to that. That's how we can be so quick to speak or respond with a joke or a good answer.

My Mercury's in the 8th, but it doesn't make me some stereotypically brooding, quiet, overly serious communicator. I'm very talktive and enjoy being sociable. I don't even care if it's more small talk-ish, stuff. Well, to a point. Too much small talk is painfully bland and boring. But, a bit of it is alright, as long as it acts as a gateway to something more interesting.

I think the 8th house placement just makes me very intuitive toward what people are really thinking and allows me to communicate with them more effectively and perceptively. And I can usually control what I say, even though I'm very talkative. I might seem like I'm saying everything on my mind but I do have a filter. Even though the Mars conjunction and Uranus trine leads me to say some outrageous, ballsy things, at times.
