I'm serious, I can't imagined having a planet in my 12th all of the time. I currently have jupiter here & it's kicking my butt! I really hate it! I'd never get anything done, the lack of motivation & foresight is lost on me. I just can not see the future at all. I understand people who deal with these energies day in & day out are more equipped to handle it, but I'm sure it gets rough. I'm struggling with one I couldn't imagine 2 or 3 planets there! You guys definitely have my respect, you have to be a very strong person to deal with this stuff. IP: Logged |

i have a few 12th housers (suns- taurus, leo, and aries, mainly) as friends and they are some of the most selfless people i've ever met. they take the weight of the world on their shoulders. chart ruler in 12th should count aswell...these people have a rough time.IP: Logged |

Yeah, my Venus is my chart ruler. (Libra) in 12th. A member no longer here once pointed out that with libra rising, and merc/venus/mars in 12th. My 1st, 7th, 8th, 9th, and 12th house rulers are in 12th. LOL I love it now, but it's rough going at first. IP: Logged |

Thank you, that's a very nice of you to say. As for us being "superhumans" to deal with our 12th house mess all our live, we don't really have a choice, don't we? We made our beds a long time ago, somewhere among the stars, and now we have to lie in them. Everything is a lesson, I guess. IP: Logged |

Hmm, so are you implying that perhaps 12th house planets are some sort of karma for something that happened in the past? You know I've read somewhere that when a person has planets in the 12th they committed suicide in a past life..please don't quote me on that but I've heard it some where. IP: Logged |

Well for me I'm having jupiter here and it's basically making all of my mental issues seem 10x bigger than they normally are. All the mental trash that gets swept under the rug is being expanded and front and center. Also I'm sure it's other things too but I've been so freaking lazy and I'm just forever wanting to be alone, but of course with jupiter it's in the extreme. And then like yesterday when the moon is there and conjuncting jupiter it's get's even worse!! I've had to start my anxiety meds again just to feel normal and have some get up and go. September can't get here fast enough. Oh and another thing I noticed during this transit is I'm meeting a lot of people who's jupiter's fall in my 12th and I can't trust them as far as I can throw them...even if they are telling the truth and there is proof I still just can't see them as trustworthy. I find that embracing that desire to be alone is really helpful. It used to be a real struggle but now the struggle is that I don't get to be alone as much as I want. Being alone and not feeling like you're missing out on anything or being abnormal will probably rejuvenate you. IP: Logged |

Yea, it's rough. I have Aries Mars in the 12th and when it doesn't have an energy aspect like Saturn trine Mars my energy and discipline takes a lot more self ass kicking than is normal for a person. I have an ambitious make up so I do it but it isn't easy. I felt the huge difference when I had Saturn trine Mars transit happening. No more yelling at myself to get things done - something had to be done so I did it. That was that. It was like my Mars was fully functioning for once. If it could perform like that everyday of my life I would rule the world. I also have it beat up by aspect. It's the only planet on my chart with squares. Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Moon in Capricorn in the 8th squaring it. Jupiter sextiles it from the 1st though and I attribute that to my somewhat ability to deal with this energy. I must of really done some bad Mars related stuff in my past life or something to have it be the only negatively placed and aspected planet in my chart. IP: Logged |

Well, it probably wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't depressed, but I'm working on that. Thanks for the insight!

Well, I have two planets in the 12th House. Early in life, there were some difficulties associated with these placements, but I love having planets in the 12H.A 12H Jupiter transit positively used is a time for turning inward, for contemplation and meditation, and for tuning into the subtle, symbolic, or archetypal dimensions of existence and for spiritual pursuits and practices. For people who have an outward orientation, who are very social and extraverted and don't like to be alone, or have no interest in spirituality, this would tend to be a difficult transit for them. It can be isolating and energy tends to be at a low ebb. People with planets in the 12H at their best have a rich, inner life and are attuned to subtle energies and other dimensions of existence. The problematic side of having planets in the 12H is that it may be hard to access or be aware of the energies represented by the planets in the 12th. Planets in the 12H may represent an unconscious area for people. The 12H represents the depths and the heights of the Unconscious. It is the most mysterious of the houses, the most lofty and spiritual as well as pathological in human beings. It's the house of saints and sinners, transcendence as well as karma and enmeshment. I regard Jupiter in the 12H as a blessing, as protection from spiritual forces ready to respond if we ask for help. IP: Logged |

Sounds like Mercury is involved and/or a Pluto transit to Mercury. IP: Logged |

Interesting you say that because I've been having some weird dreams lately and one of them was I was sitting on my couch and I had two dogs and my right hand was in one's mouth and my left hand was in another. They weren't vicious nor did they hurt me. But I felt like they were disappointed in me and didn't want to let go of my hand. When I asked about this dream on another board they said it means that I am divinely protected. So that ties in with what you said, and I do have an interest in spirituality and I don't mind being alone..but it's moreso having to deal with stuff I have swept under the rug. I'm not feeling equipped to handle it. But I know that I'll be ok. IP: Logged |

More like unresolved issues from the past,or past lives, if you believe in them. Yeah, we might call that karma. And it might be about a past life suicide with some aspects and planets there, I dont' know, but I don't think it's only that. For example, I've got Venus there, and it kind of fits. I had a past life regresion years before I started studying astrology, and, according to that, I'd spent one of my lives in a convent, as a nun. But the catch was that I'd become a nun to escape my problems and deal with some issues which I'd had during that lifetime, so for wrong reasons (escapism, confinement, getting closer to the divine - 12th house's area of expertise ). Anyway, while I was reading about the 12th house Venus, I came across an article saying that Venus there meant you'd spent a lifetime in - guess where - a convent! So, this interpretation actually matches my past life regresion results. And then there is another detail that makes me believe that there might be some truth in the 12th house - past lives connection. I've got a lot of aunts in this lifetime, and many of them are nuns. I spent my childhood's summers in convents, visiting my aunts. Coincidence? Not so sure about that. So, there you go.

I have Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune in the 12th, with Neptune conjunct my Ascendant.I think 12th House people have to come to a point of surrender, where they stop investing their happiness in things of the world. I've had to do this myself. At first, it was a tough pill to swallow. But, I've realized that my suffering and sadness have come from being so attached to the things that I want (Pluto's influence also teaches this lesson, though in a more brutal way, and I have plenty of Pluto, as well). And not getting it has constantly made me feel like I've been hitting one wall after the next. But, I feel so much better focusing my energy on other people and their desires, instead of my own. It feels freeing and being able to do that recently has made me happier and lighter. So, 12th House has to come to terms with self-sacrifice (but self-sacrificing in healthy, constructive ways; that difference should be pointed out). When you do, then this house is wonderful. When you can't, then you're just going to suffer. Serve or suffer. I wrote an article on the 12th House on my blog, in case anyone wants to read it. http://astroarena12.blogspot.com/2014/09/hiding-out-in-12th-house.html ------------------ Check out My Astrology Blog: http://astroarena12.blogspot.com IP: Logged |
