We're talking well into his late 40's. He is attracted to women (not that it matters) and seems to date but still hasn't settled down and no LTR's to speak of.

I'd say that a very heavy influence of Fixed signs. With special mention to Leo, Aquarius and sometimes Taurus.

And I have to say I've noticed that such people do not only have those fixed placements in their Geo-tropic chart alone, but in their Draconic, Sidereal charts too.
----

So, having heavy fixed influences from Leo, Taurus, Aqua in the classical chart... it's just a clue.

Capricorn and Libra influence
Jupiter/Venus maybe they have a lot of options and choose to never settle down.

Well, maybe it applies to people born in Düsseldorf or Ireland.

Because I used to see lots of Leos, and Aquas who were forever single, even after 50's, and I mean... more than 14-16 folks (???)

lol

Interesting... He is a cap sun (24th of December so kind of close to the cusp), virgo/libra cusp moon, sag mercury, score venus, aquarius mars. I think it's got to do with his rising sign and house placements (which I don't know).

Someone said Saturn in the 7th, I've thought that might be one of the culprits, too.

I have a friend who has Aquarius mars but doesn't want to settle down and is contented with open relationships and fwb things. He is just like the guy you described. He seems to go on dates and flirt with people, but haven't been in a long term relationship. He's 18 though, so I can't say it helps.

I thought Capricorn as I soon as I've read the title of this thread. It just gives me a very 'all work no play', sort of mental image you know lol

Usually it has to do with Virgo, Sagittarius or Aquarius. They are the loners... But not necessarily the Sun sign. For example I have Venus and Mercury in Aquarius and I stayed alone for long periods. Didn't care about being alone since I haven't found what I was looking for.

Interesting. We have similar placements and I can relate to some extent.

Maybe his Venus/Mars square as well?

There aren't actually any aspect that 'make' someone stay single. People choose to -- consciously or subconsciously.

Without a chart to look at its kinda stabbing in the dark. However, in principle, angular Saturn aspects to Moon/Venus/Sun/Asc will delay the desire to settle in to a partnership.

Conversely, strong fire, particularly Jupiter in angular aspects can keep a person playing the field and enjoying themselves, not feeling the need to settle in with a particular person. Same for Uranus.

George Clooney's chart is an example of both these.

This is the chart I validated on my page:

Yeah... There would be singles in all signs.
But in all honesty, if you realllllllly think about it - Don't more Sagittarians spring to mind?
Because I can think of six Sagittarians off the top of my head and only one Taurus.

Sags are fickle ... Some choose to marry and some don't depending on the "ride"

@Kannon: wow, I'm very similar to George Clooney in that I have BOTH Saturn and Pluto on the angular. I'd say that pluto in 7th can lead to the need for constant transformation.

I agree with all of you who say fixed signs. I have both fixed axis in natal and draconic. I'm also heavily saturnian and uranian with venus-jupiter ... I was thinking about settling just now and the exact thought just passes my mind... I have plenty of options, why worry?

I know one. Sun in Sagittarius and chart ruler in Sagittarius. Virgo rising. He also had a Venus opposition to Uranus.
