I wouldnt say aquarius asc im one and i ALWAYS strike up convos and talk to people naturally sometimes by accident i will just talk to somebody BUT my scorpio sun is always like why are you talking to these people you should just mind your business and i feel the nature of the square come up idk i just feel like aqua rising makes me love people in general i have never been the type to ever be like ugggg i hate people lmao i always find it easy to start up small talk and just other things, BUT when i was younger and not confident in myself i would be more introverted but that was when i was younger i think aspects to ascendant matter as well i do have saturn in first house but not conjunct ascendant and i have mercury in sag sextile ascendant and jupiter in libra trine ascendant

Well, that's just my experience with Aquarians. I wouldn't say they're shy, just more quiet than most.

Aqua Sun, Uranus, Jupiter, Vesta, Ceres stellium in 3rd house
Libra moon
Scorp AC

She's very quiet and gets anxious when she first meets ppl

Cancer, Pisces, Virgo, Capricorn, Taurus (in some cases). Depends how you view "shy." I am a Cancer rising, Pisces Sun and would say am naturally shy at first in demeanor.

Air signs have a different form of shyness than say Water signs.

I have a Virgo asc and I probably come across as shy when in fact I am just analyzing the molecules out of people and situations. I will not talk until I am ready and if my Cap moon doesn't feel there is anything to say, or if convo is boring, I will just stare.

Hmm it's a difficult one... But when thinking about some of the people I know, I think libra, cancer, virgo, pisces and scorpio people are the most shy...

I am a virgo sun with cancer ascendant and I am extremely shy at first!
I know a libra with cancer ascendant who is more shy than me though...
I also knew an Aqua with pisces ascendant who wasn't that shy, but he was only acting "not shy" lol.

I think cancer ascendants and scorp ascendants are more shy, I never knew a virgo ascendant though...

But also, having a prominent neptune make someone shy, especially sun-neptune aspects (mostly harsh aspect)
I think it has something to do with being insecure about ones self, how they are seen and hesitating with action... also virgo people would like to observe their surroundings before taking action

Prominent and strong mars aspect (to sun, ascendant, pluto) would probably make a person less shy, because they got a lot of extrovert energy. A lot of fire in the chart would do this too, especially a fire ascendant.
Scorpio placements makes a person shy, because they actually are just private and don't want to reveal themselves at first.
Taurus on the other hand, is seldom shy I think. The same with Capricorns, I don't exactly know why, but they are not the types who hide themselves.

Gemini people can be shy when they have to speak to a crowd. In smaller groups of friends they are not as shy.
How close is the conjunction? A mars-ascendant conjunction would make a person less shy, but when it's in pisces I doubt it... if mars is in 12th house, I would think they would be very shy. But a mars in 1st house is much more assertive.

I know a lot of Virgo ascendant people and in my experience, they don't tend to be shy. They do seem to think before they talk.

I'm a taurus asc/capricorn sun and I used to be really shy. I feel as though I wait for someone to approach me, I don't go out of my way to make small chat unless I have to.

Can't speak for others but as a Virgo ascendant I can be pretty shy at first. Actually... I think I also mirror other people. If I meet someone who's also shy then I will be shy around them. If I meet someone who's gregarious then I will mirror some of that back and be more likely to switch to my Gemini moon self quickly. But by default I am shy.
