I've never really cared for this topic until tonight. I've been dating someone for some weeks who has her Capricorn Moon on the Aquarius cusp. It is very different than my Capricorn Moon on the Sagittarius cusp. It dawned on me that she acts very much like an Aquarius Moon I dated a year ago which I love cause I get all the alone time I need. (that kinda sounds sarcastic and sad but I mean it)

What's your experience with a cusp?

I wouldn't mind general insight on my cusp or hers since I've never really thought about it.

I don't really see the cusp influence with planets. But I do check decanates and duads.

An early Capricorn Moon is in the Saturn/Capricorn decanate and either in the Capricorn or Aquarius duad.

A late Capricorn Moon is in the Mercury/Virgo decanate and in the Scorpio or Sagittarius duad.

So yes they can be pretty different in influence for this reason.. Plus, the house placement and natal aspects!

My Moon is on the sign cusp (a few minutes). I used to wonder if I have my Moon in that sign. If her Moon is very close to Aqua, check her topocentric placements, this option is on that list to tick next to the additional objects. From her perspective (topo) the Moon might have been in Aqua already and who knows, maybe it does matter (I'm in this situation).

I have read that it definitely can be influenced by the sign next to it. But only in the case of the last degree. (I'm not even sure about the 1st degree of a sign. Taking into consideration that other than the nodes, the chart moves counterclockwise. Exception given to retrograde planets??) Less than that even more so influenced. It has to be very close IMO.

With that being the case, for moon, it would mean that birth time has to be very precise.

I've been doing a little studying on this and out of sign conjunctions. Not that I'm correct. It's just a theory.

So both our Cappy Moons are on the Cusp. I'm not familiar with topocentric placements, what's the difference?

I never paid mind to duads either.

Just when I thought I have a solid grasp something new comes up :P

At face value I'm inclined to believe cusp matter because I can't imagine there being a strict cut off line in universal energy between the signs. No way of knowing for sure I guess

I wouldn't count a 28th degree Moon as a cusp Moon. What I would count? 29.30 seems good enough to me. I don't consider 0 deg a cusp either.

Haha, ill let you know we (i guess this means you and i too :P) have a very fulfilling relationship based on similar ideas on just about everything.

What degree is your moon on and do you feel any Aquarius tendencies to it?

To answer your question yes i feel a heavy influence from aquarius im very social for a scorpio and i can "appear" detached BUT i still feel like my pluto aspects overall overpower my double aquarius signs its hard to explain but i do feel things VERYYYYY DEEPLY most likely the moon square pluto in effect she might not be as deep because her moon doesnt square pluto.
