I am kinda upset because I feel like my singing voice and my talking voice are too unusual for anyone to appreciate. I have been having trouble finding a genre that suits my voice perfectly. I have tried rock, which my voice is too light for that, and pop and r&b, which my voice is too dark for. I don't wanna do opera, which my voice is "okay" with. I am taking vocal lessons to try and improve it and yes, there has been progress, but I'm still upset.

I have a Mercury-Venus conjunction in the 3rd house which is supposedly going to give me a more pleasant and beautiful natural voice, but that hasn't been the case at all.

My Uranus does not even make a major aspect with my Mercury or Venus (unless an inconjunct counts), which is why I don't understand why I have an unusual voice.

Gemini Rising
Sun in Leo (2nd house)
Moon in Cancer (1st house)
Mercury in Virgo (3rd house conj.)
Venus in Virgo (3rd house)
Mars in Libra (5th house)

Do you have any plans to become a recording artist? What genre of music do you want to sing? What kind of music gets you the most excited?

A unique voice in the music industry is an incredible asset. Meld some genres together and experiment with various sounds; you'll eventually find something that works for you!

In a perfect world, I'd be a singer, but I'm much too scared. Music is a passion that I live and breathe every day, and I, like you, have struggled with liking and finding my voice. Interestingly, I also have a Mercury-Venus conjunction (in the first house if we use the Placidus house system; in the second house if we use the equal house system), but I usually revolt at the sound of my singing voice.

Where's the asteroid Echo in your chart? Mine is conjunct Uranus (0°08) and my Sun/Moon midpoint, so I attribute my struggles to that.

I have an unusual voice also my Merc is conjunct Sun in the very last degree of my 2nd on my 3rd cusp, Neptune is also conjunct Sun/Merc but it's fully in 3rd house.

2nd house Uranus is semi-sextile Merc and Sun exact.

My voice is good for opera and can't forget I'm quite the yodeler!! Lol
I could have a decent singing voice if I had any control over it....but it's never going to be what a typical good singing voice is.

Well, I like rock and r&b, but I'm not sure my voice is best for any of those.

As for Echo, I have it in Pisces retrograde in the 10th house. Aspects would be:

Echo sextile Neptune (my 10th house ruler)
Echo opposition North Node
Echo square Ascendant

That being in the 10th house could mean something, I suppose. Just not sure what.
