11 Things I Think I Know About Astrology...because my list goes to eleven! 1) Geometry, geometry, geometry! Cover all the angles. First. 2) Chiron is a planet. Treat it that way. 3) The node axis and the vertex axis matter. 4) Inconjunct... Respect it. 5) 10 degree orbs are for people who can't think of enough to say about the rest of the chart. 6) Transits and progressions do not trump the natal. 7) Something is (almost) always retrograde. It never stopped you before... 8) Judging compatibility by sun sign is like reading tarot from a deck of Magic the Gathering cards. It may work, but only if you're both good and lucky... 9) Void of Course moon? See item 7. 10) Placidus for natal, Koch for transits or progressions. That is, if you really need to know if an event will happen at 9:17 am and not 9:32... 11) Saturn has to be somewhere... If you don't like what house it's in now, where would you prefer it to be? Again, see item 7. Agree? Disagree? Or please post your own! IP: Logged |

The ruler of the chart is the tattle-teller! It speaks to most every major event when you look at progressions and solar arcs. IP: Logged |

I didn't know 2, neglect 4, don't understand 9 (I tend to be a bit slow), and enjoy your style Gemini Blues.IP: Logged |

Excellent!! I certainly agree with 7 and 9. Life went on perfectly before I knew about either of the two and it will continue so even now that I know about them. I agree with 11 as well... and life went on as normal until..... It hit my 12th. I'll be happy as long as it's ANYWHERE else! IP: Logged |

Thanks! Chiron isn't a planet as far as the astronomers are concerned, but I believe it's as important as any other planet as far as astrology goes. VoC moons are a subject unto themselves... I don't know if I could do it justice.

Good to know. Is it just as true when you've got a slow mover like Pluto as CR? I'm guessing it would be other planets progressing to it in this case?

6) correct! Transits and Progressions can not predict an event that is not FIRST shown in the Natal Chart.------------------ "There ain't no revolution, only evolution, but every time I'm in Georgia I 'eat a peach' for peace." Duane Allman IP: Logged |

When you post what you think you know it helps clarify what you know. We could all learn a lot by writing what we think we know. Thanks for having the courage to share and accept feedback. IP: Logged |
