Astrology allows one to theorize. I allow myself to put forth certain theories. Then, I ask people, if they fit. In that spirit, I have a theory about planets which conjunct the MC. I know someone with Pluto conjunct the MC, very well. She wears Pluto, as her career face and face to society. That part is not a new theory. That is what happens when a planet conjunct the MC. The new part is what can this aspect say about the IC. My theory is that the IC had a paucity of this planet. For the woman cited, her childhood did not allow Pluto, which was the case. Her childhood suppressed her Pluto, as it was not allowed .Another chart has Neptune conjunct the MC. This man will show Neptune to the world. However, his childhood did not allow for Neptune’s expression. His family used religion in an improper way. He saw God in a maligned way, in the same manner in which the woman saw primal passions.------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? I don't have any planets conjunct my MC, but I do have Venus conjunct my IC... would this mean I can't bring Venus (Which happens to be my ASC ruler), out into the public?IP: Logged |

With my theory, you may have felt very loved as a child but do not feel that love in your role as member of the general society. Does that fit? To make it simple, you don't feel loved as an adult the way you did as a child lol

I'm still young though (21), so I don't totally feel like an adult yet, but I've been maturing quite rapidly as of late, and I can attest to a growing feeling that the "love" I received as a child is going to "bring me down", if I want to succeed in life. So... I think you're right. My mom's Leo rising, thus extremely generous. She was VERY loving to me - so what a coincidence? On top of that, I lack a proper father figure(I have a dad! Just not a proper father figure a t a l l), so my mother dominated my life - I received, what I feel like, was an overabundance of love... Which I am now, as of this year, starting to notice and detest... IP: Logged |

WOW that theory seems to workI have Moon conj the MC, exact. I did not as if I had much heart in my childhood( other than from my grandmother) People shower me with love in my career and I feel so very warmed by it, unlike my childhood which felt very cold.
I follow my theory lol ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Mars conjunct Pluto sitting right on top of the MC. Definitely oppressed in childhood - issues w/ my dad. Not that he was a bad person just very old school and ever so slightly sadistic in times (Chiron in 4th as well). When it comes to business or career I am very determined (provided it makes me happy). Not a bully or back stabber in anyway but definitely not the type to run from a confrontation either. Also if I want a job I usually get it. I also have Uranus and Jupiter in my tenth widely conjunct mc . IP: Logged |

This is what happened, SC. I had a childhood that was cold, except for my grandmother who really loved me.My house was very cold. I am very warm( Cancer Moon) and I suffered a lot to have a childhood with a very hard mother. However, in my career, I get so much love. I give love freely. I do charts for people, freely. I give a lot because I want to. WHENEVER I need love, I, always, always, get it back. If I am down, someone will say something sweet to me. I have the opposite of my childhood in my career. I have so much love and so much heart. ------------------ Want to Read Simple, Fun,Sexy Articles on Astrology? Check Me Out, DUDE. http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

I have nothing on either my cancer MC or cap IC....Pluto on AC squares both MC/IC 2-2.5 degree Jupiter squares both but barely even makes an aspect, some would say it wasn't square at 7 degrees. Uranus trines MC, 2.5 degree IP: Logged |

my venus is conjunct my MC and i did in fact feel like i was always an outsider growing up, somewhat unsupported, unseen and unheard. I couldnt express myself properly or perhaps even my femininity - i was a tomboy. and i have now been battling with this self expression in adulthood, trying to bring that out more - and coincidentally in my career too! i know its not a personal planet but what would cupido conjunct MC exact imply? great thread IP: Logged |

Pluto on the MC. I have a Scorpio-mother,whose Sun opposes my Dad`s 8th house Moon. So I was getting a bit of a Pluto-flairn in my childhood I suppose. (my grandfather was a Scorpio, too, as was one of my uncles). You remember the bit in Linda Goodman`s books where she said that dealing with a Scorpio can be like you end up in front of a yellow trafficlight not knowing if it is going to become green or red. Yes, sometimes it felt like that.

This fits me! Except, I often felt unloved in both areas growing up. Lol.. I think this placement, in my experience, denotes very high standards of the quality of relationships in order for the native to feel truly loved. We require feeling love through the very core of the other's soul, their IC! (But then again, I also have Venus in Scorpio conjuncting Proserpina in a critical degree.. and Persephone on the MC) IP: Logged |

Interesting, I have this placement too and lacked a proper father figure. My mother indeed dominated my life, but we clashed like crazy! (Also have Pluto conj. Jupiter, and Nessus (widely) in the 4th) Her 'overabundance of love' was expressed quite differently than what one would normally think of as love. Lol.. But we're the best of friends now, as is usual for Plutonic relationships IP: Logged |

Saturn conjunct mc. I'm not sure that I had a paucity of saturn in my childhood as my family were not physically warm. Although - Aqua ic - have been reflecting recently on how much freedom I had so I suppose paucity of rules and discipline is true for me. IP: Logged |

Same here!!! We clashed a lot these past couple of years as I became more consciously aware of my situation, but now I realized how close we actually are! She's actually a Scorpio Sun conjunct her IC! Which means her Scorpio sun trines my Pluto in Scorpio conjunct my DC! SO lots of Plutonic energy between us two! How interesting/relieving to see someone else in a similar boat(:
