There's a breathing exercise I find helpful. You basically imagine your breath going in one nostril and out the other - in a circular motion. So you pretend you breathe in through one nostril - imagine the air going all the way through to your head and back out the other nostril (when you exhale). This is one version of it - but here she actually covers up her nostrils: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xbbr6Udg1UA You don't necessarily have to do that ^ as long as you focus on your breath going in and out. The only way i can relax my Gemini moon mind is by keeping it busy and occupied . Tell me to calm down and RELAX ( god, i hate that word), and i get nervous and jumpy. I usially get a book, write stuff, read astro forums or paint. Or study.IP: Logged |

An example of how my Gem Moon relaxes - Mexican beach, me and s.o. heading to the beach in the morning. Umbrella, towels, Sun screen spray, lay down to soak in the sun. 10 min passed and im tired of it. I got up and tell my s.o. im going to run on the beach and do some activities by the hotel. As i run, one of the beach instructors invites me to a short boat trip. He was a very young teenager so it didnt seem like he waa hitting on me. I get the boat trip. We come back to the shore and he gets on a jetski and tells me to hop in. I go for the jet ski. Back to the beach, running and enjoying the sea.I hear music from the beach club by my hotel so i check it out - latin dance lessons. The next hour i spent learning salsa and merengue. I felt hungry, so i went eating. 3 hours later i get back to my umbrella and my Scoprion Sun, Taurus Moon babe still lays in the same position. Oy vey. IP: Logged |

You know I didn't understand until later on why my ex would smoke (marijuana) all the time. Until one day we were talking about astrology & we talked about his gemini moon, I asked him what's it's like & he said it's just his mind running non-stop. I could totally relate due my Mercury in gemini opposite uranus. We could both be neurotic at times lolIP: Logged |

For me, music. (I have it on right now) Also drawing, driving, riding my bicycle, shooting some basketball. Well, anything really as long as I have music while I'm doing it. I have mercury conjunct mars and those square my moon. That amps things up a bit too. IP: Logged |

I tried @odette breathing technique on my bed this morning (about 1am) I couldn't get to a beach side that late haha but, I tried it on my bed and boiii after doing it couple times, I started feeling extra sleepy! I felt right asleep after laying down! Thank u @Odette @Orange omg that sounds fun! I really need to hit the beach side! And go under the water lol. Cool my head off haha. The only this is, I know my mind will start kicking into gear again after all the excitement lol.
@babybull82 oooo I'm sorry! :/ how do u calm urself down? Weed? (I do that too sometimes, but I don't want to be addicted lol)
@DeepFreeze Yeahhh music helps me ALOT! I love music! I listen music all the time, super loud most of the time cuz I just wanna block out some thoughts. But sometimes when my mind is running too heavy, the music gets annoying cuz I Trying focus on listening to music but at the same time thinking a lot, it's a tug o war! An hour later? Listening music again after turning it off LOL! (I'm addicted to music) especially Makaveli's music!

I have to walk it off, or do something else. I haven't exercised properly for years, but I used to exercise on holidays, like Thanksgiving and Christmas, so that I would be able to sit still later on, and watch more than one movie.I used to draw and paint all night. I use guided meditation, when I remember to, and subliminals, but I usually fall asleep on the couch, suddenly exhausted. IP: Logged |

My guy has a Gemini Moon and he's exactly all these things you all described above. And I think lately all you Gemini mooners are a bit confused and hyper. You need to keep your minds busy all the time, and sometimes it feels tiring for you.IP: Logged |

Okay okay,in all seriousness!!!Put your head in cool running water and hum. It works for me Play classical music/random jazz.Something completely unpredictable and disengaging. Even Bjork works. Stand on your head and close your eyes.Think about babies. And only babies. Watch the nature channel. Specifically those with an ocean theme. I find them most relaxing. IP: Logged |

An afflicted gemini moon here... I am a thinkolic. I think when I am awake, while having sex, while I am sleeping.. I always manage to distrupt my dream flow by thinking about the dream I am having...I dream a lot due my Neptune. So, when I am not thinking then I am dreaming :S I am always distracted by thoughts. I just can't focus. I can only relax my brain when I am physicaly active. Walking, dancing, recently yoga.. + weed addict ( 20 years something ).. I don't smoke it as much as I used to.. Yeap, it helps but does not cure the compulsive thinking... when you smoke weed you chase one thought instead of a dozen of thoughts chasing you.

Watching a few hours of a good tv show can help me - I shower, make tea, and distract myself that way. A Breaking Bad marathon on AMC, three years ago, was a godsend that way. I'd never seen it before, and it was on for a few hours every night, in the middle of the night. IP: Logged |

Gem Moon here. My brain never stops running either. Damn Mercury. Mercury is my most dominant planet, so I never stop thinking. When engaged in conversation with people, I'm thinking about the current topic and chatter and also thinking about a million other things, while pretending I'm totally focused. And like the person before me, when I'm not distracted by my own mind, I'm dreaming (dominant Neptune too).Music definitely helps me when it comes to relaxing, especially at night when it's quiet and I'm alone. I'm a big tea-drinker so sometimes I find a hot cup of tea does the trick as well. I love quiet nights alone when I'm listening to my favorite bands and drinking tea. It's very calming to me. I do also find that trying to keep busy can help as well. I'm definitely a very restless soul who gets bored and tired easily, so if I can find something to preoccupy myself with, I might be a little less nervous or anxious. If I'm really anxious and can't find a decent way to relax, I try to wander away and be alone. Once I'm alone, I can let go and find a better way to relax and calm myself down, and be within my own thoughts. IP: Logged |

It's true, with weed you manage to relax and think only one thing. But, it sucks that it lasts so little.

I know it's even in the middle of the night, noticed hahaha. Do you have 2 sides emotionally? Are there periods when you don't know what you want? IP: Logged |

Gemini sun and mercury, the latter square Uranus...Music, as in performance. Singing uses a different part of the brain. Martial Arts. Again using a different part of the brain. Many sports would serve as well... Golf, bowling, heck, pool or darts in a pinch. Prayer or meditation. Difficult to learn, but practice makes perfect. Anything that forces you to shut off the internal dialog due to focusing on the task at hand. Edit: oh, and make yourself get enough sleep! Establish regular hours if possible. Tired brains are harder to calm down! Make your place of sleeping safe and non stimulating. Turn off the TV before you go to bed. Make your room dark and quiet. IP: Logged |

yeap gem sun and mercury here too...honestly, this will sounds strange but the only thing that helped as well as meditation is neurofeedback brain training. i'm sure most of the people that receive this treatment are geminis! but it certainly helped me. oh and nutrition. the chinese believe that an active mind is indicative of a disrupted digestive system. energy should be going down instead of up into the brain.

No I don't smoke weed, that actually makes it worse because it makes me feel like I'm losing control of my body (if that makes sense). I just listen to music & try & focus on other things. I read a LOT. I know I really should get into some meditation or something, because I feel my neurosis could ultimately be my demise. I just can't seem to relax. IP: Logged |

Yes, I do. It took me three months to settle on a paint colour, but I only bought a small tester tub, in case I change my mind. I have a pale yellow in my room, but I've had it for so long, and wanted a change... now I'm not so sure.
I was in the bath when you posted this last night, actually tired enough to go to sleep, but I thought I needed the epsom salt bath. Then I rushed out, because my dog was fussing, so I didn't get the quick shower afterwards, which is what really relaxes me, so I felt grotty.. and then I couldn't sleep! My dog kept fussing all night, and I finally got a bit of sleep this morning. This isn't like him, so now I'm all worried again - although he's sleeping now. IP: Logged |

But it helps me to fall asleep. It relaxes me. I like the light from the TV, as well - I can't stand a completely dark room. IP: Logged |
