Your experience reminds me of my first girlfriend and only romantic love (I state this as a matter of fact and not of any nostalgia). She is a Pisces with a Gemini Moon. She got mad at me more than a few times for not getting angry and emotional toward her. And at other times she would praise me for being cool and logical in my decisions and arguments.

I'm pretty well off in my main 3 make-up

Scorpio Sun, Capricorn Moon, Taurus Rising

These three energies work very well together. I'm happy for this combination. Capricorn Moon with an exact Saturn conjunction makes me a very emotionally controlled Scorpio. The only emotion I fail to control is anger burst from my Aries Mars squaring my Moon. Even that has gotten greatly controlled over time.

Other than that I don't cry. I don't get depressed or sad often because reality sits well with me even in bad times. And unfortunately/fortunately I don't very often go out of my way to console; I rather show concern in a practical way than use emotionally appealing words during a situation.

To be honest, it has always been very hard to reflect on my Scorpio personality because one of its basic characteristics is supremely controlled by my Moon.

The Taurus rising helps a lot with my sociability especially with Jupiter in the 1st house. Even with my really organized Capricorn mind and my Scorpio search for depth I still come across as approachable, nice, and fun.

The most interesting thing I find about writing on this forum is that there's no opportunity here for my Rising sign to mask my Sun and Moon and people keep saying I come off as serious. Interesting, but not surprising, writing is a direct link to a persons mind.

But this thread is interesting for me because sometimes I wonder what makes a Scorpio a Scorpio
