I think this placement is best described by the tale of the Thornbird:It searches for thorn trees from the day it hatches, and is assumed to be a silent bird, for it never sings. But then comes the day when the Thornbird finds the perfect thorn and impales itself, singing it's first and last song- unmatched in it's beauty.

So it finds a thorn, impales itself and dies as it finally sings it first song? That's sounds lovely! I wish I had a 7th house Saturn!! or not! IP: Logged |

I'm a 7th house Saturn. Not sure what you want to know about this. I think relationships are very important to me. I'd rather be in relationship than not. I also have trouble working alone. I don't feel particularly Thornbirdy, as lovely as the metaphor is. Although maybe I don't quite get it. IP: Logged |

It means that love comes rarely, is taken very seriously, and when the bird finds that one true love, it's all consuming. IP: Logged |

I was in relationship with someone who has Saturn in the 7H. It's complicated because he has a stellium in the 7H and aspects to these planets. His parents were both alcoholics, and his mother was drinking when she was pregnant with him. I mean right out of the gate he's confronted with heavy karma. Saturn squares his Moon, so this scenario is also attributable to the aspect. He liked being dominant and in a position of control. He was afraid of relationships and said he'd been burned many times, but from my experience this was partly due to other things in his chart. Deep down, he longs for a relationship, but it's also the thing he's most afraid of. So, he keeps people at arm's length. IP: Logged |

In my case, I think that might be a bit too dramatic. ;D But it's a lovely thought. IP: Logged |

I have Saturn in 7th. I don't consider marriage/relationships that important.I think I'll worry about that stuff when I am 50. For now, my career and family is all that matters.

I've heard of karmic themes from many Saturn in 7th house natives and i am curious to know why or how the situation felt karmic? Did the relationship itself feel karmic as well? IP: Logged |

I think I would also describe Venus conjuct Saturn this way as well. Reading that description was so beautiful and made me cry. IP: Logged |

My Saturn and 7th House are both in Libra. I'm not sure I like that Thornbird tale because it sounds tragic. These 2 placements makes it tough for me in the area of my lovelife. I have a very serious outlook on relationships in general, I mean I don't do hook-ups, one night stands, play games, flirt, I'm slow at trusting and opening up to others because I have no tolerance for people who pretend to be one way then they flip the script on you later. Its either On/ All the way or its nothing at all, anything in between is not worth the time. I usually unintentionally break hearts due to that and I can't stand it because I'm not trying to hurt anyone, I'm just serious about these things because I want to give my loyalty over with complete faith that I'm getting that in return but these days its hard to be certain.IP: Logged |

I don't have much relational experience and I blame this placement. I have Saturn in Pisces, conjunct moon and mercury. I tend to doubt myself often, like I research relationships and flirting and stuff a lot, tbh and constantly bug my girl friends about it. I don't want to suck at relationships and my lack of experience makes it awkward and makes me less sure. I take it very seriously if I see a guy as a potential partner, I size up his commitment, loyalty, honesty, compassion and maturity by speaking with him and observing his behaviour. I would never throw myself into a relationship without sizing up these traits. He also needs to be genuine. If he faults on any of these requirements I just put up a mental red flag and stay away from him and detach. What else... I am not picky about dress and mannerism. I do like a zany character so long as thats actually who he is and he isn't being stupid just 'cause. I tend to fall in love only when he can teach me about myself, or he gives me better insight into my own character and offers me growth through our interactions. 7th house acts like a mirror, in that sense. Ime, the people who impact me most always carry something with them that is crucial for me to learn and that challenges whatever blocks my development. I usually end up having romantic feelings for them. IP: Logged |
