What planet in the 9th house strives for higher education, but does not have to have a higher degree?

I have Jupiter in 9H and I always strive to learn more about life, universe and humans in general. Classical schooling have never been of much interest since I don't believe in that. I also have Chiron in 9H and have learned MUCH through my own pain which is also something I am never scared of going through-I might actually seek it out.

I second everything this user said! I have a mercury and sun in the 9th house. The both fall in the sign of Gemini and I love asking higher life lessons in general. That's how I actually got into astrology as a hobby. I'm just really going to college (which is better than high school btw) because of it's benefits like a higher income and learning a few things to enhance my mind.

I don't really think that higher learning like college can teach you a lot of things to be honest. I feel like sometimes school can be a waste of time because I learned most of these things on my own. For example, like math, I noticed that when other people teach me I can't really learn at all, but when I sit down with no distractions (mercury in Gemini) I can learn everything!

So to answer your question, yes I do feel like 9th house placements do love to learn, but i think we like to learn the truth not necessarily higher education . I mean, we don't go in depth like how an 8TH house placement would, but we do like to know the solid foundation on how it came about.

I have a stellium in the ninth house and I did want to get my PhD until I had a spiritual awakening and started to learn about things that weren't of this world as opposed to of it. Its kind of still like a PhD except only God has awarded me with it.

I have Uranus conj. Neptune at a 0° orb in Capricorn, 9th house. Saturn is in the 10th, making those 3 planets the highest planets in my chart.

Uranus conj. Neptune also trines my 5th house Virgo Sun conj. mercury...

I agree with this(: I learn exponentially quick, and easy when I set my mind to it, and do it myself. But I also enjoy the challenge school has to offer, in regard to discipline.

I have Mars in the 9th house.

I have dated mostly foreign men in my life and have traveled all over the world from a very young age.

I have always sought higher knowledge regardless of whether a school was involved, often taking out textbooks of various subjects from the library even as a child, in order to study on my own.

I also have Saturn in the 9th house.

I'm very philosophical and independently follow my own spiritual beliefs. I'm very discriminating when it comes to new ideas and information, not very trusting, but if I come to accept something I tend to be very loyal to that idea. I'm not 'closed-minded' at all, nobody would describe me as such. Ancient ideas make sense to me.

Now what signs don't like to read books when it comes to higher knowledge, they like to virtually watch videos to learn?

I have Saturn in the 9th I can relate to what appleberry said.

I should have an associates in December I'm 24.

Loved school from pre k to 1st Grade. Then I hated school until I got my diploma. Community College can be fun sometimes. But it can also make me very miserable.

I have Libra on my 9th house with Pluto in it. I like to research new age (palmistry, numerology) and paranormal things, even conspiracy theories and dream interpretations. Anything unseen, mysterious, bizarre (like monsters and UFO's) and spiritual topics like reincarnation interest me. I read that it is the placement of one that is interested in metaphysics, and I think I am. I'm too lazy to pursue studying, and I didn't think getting a degree is important. I mean, I do, but I just can't be bothered to study academics. I did well in my early school years though until I became lazy.

The vocalist of my favorite band has Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and NN in 9th house and a Sag rising as well. He studied religion at university and a lot of the songs he writes are inspired from religion and how people view it. He's very intelligent and thoughtful tbh.

Mars and Pluto in Scorpio 9H.

I have always loved travel and have travelled to many, many places, and feel like I'm only just getting started.

I am attracted to foreign men, who have wanderlust themselves - I am immediately turned off by people who are too lazy/uninterested to experience new places and cultures.

I've always been drawn to education, reading, anything that expands the mind, and this has always been what attracts me in other people.

I often feel the urgent need to take a leave of a few weeks, only with the purpose of reading and catching up on all the topics I want to learn about. If I was a given a choice between a vacation in a new country and a vacation only for reading, the dilemma would kill me. Seriously.

I hate it so much right now too. There have been times I've enjoyed it. But not lately. I just want to be done, and trying to come out of this funk I'm in.
