I've noticed that the descriptions for conjuncted planets to these two points in your chart bear resemblance. What they have in common is that they (in majority) refer to an inner strength a person has, something that comes naturally, from deep within (or from previous lives, if you like), something very innate and characteristic for the person. Other extreme of the interpretations for both points is that the planet conjunct has difficulties expressing itself (more common with IC, but I've seen it quite frequently with SN as well, which surprised me greatly), but in any case, the planet plays a very important role in one's live and personality.
I've read countless times here on LL the importance of conjunctions to both, but I've only just started comparing the two when I've met a person that has her Mars conjunct South Node and I'm the one with the IC/Mars conjunction. Regardless of other synastry, I do get the same inner strength and assertiveness which is also my trait. She's a fighter, but a diplomatic one. I guess it also helps we both have air Mars  Anyway, have anybody also noticed some similarities between the two points and which ones? If you do have a conjunction to one of the points think about the people that have them on the other...
I don't really know nobody that would have Jupiter conjunct IC, so if you're out there, speak up I am fully aware of the the differences, the similarities seem more fascinating I suppose. Oh, and what just occurred to me...They are both connected to the Moon  IP: Logged |

I have Jupiter conj SN, MC and Uranus conjunct NN, IC. I am a spiritual rebel I have no problems expressing either planet! IP: Logged |
