How rare is it to be a triple sign? For instance, I am a Pisces Sun, Moon, and Mercury.

I think I read somewhere that Kurt Cobain was a triple Pisces. Is this common to have a triple sign?

From what I understand, a triple sign would= sun, moon & rising

3 planets in one sign is a stellium

Kurt cobain was not a triple pisces but he did have a stellium in pisces

Hi polkadot!

I have the exact planets in Pisces like you! They are also in a stellium too, three planets within 1 degree

It's not unusual for Mercury or Venus to be found in the same sign as the sun. Due to the position of their orbits Mercury can't be more than one sign away, nor Venus more than two.

Also, given the generational planets taking years to move through signs, certain sun placements have an advantage. For instance, almost all Virgos born in the 60's have Sun-Uranus-Pluto in Virgo. Many Scorpios from the same time frame start with Sun-Neptune.

The odds of a true triple sign Sun-Moon-Asc are approximately 1 in 144 if math isn't failing me tonight. If anyone has statistical observations to back or disprove it, please chime in.

Gemini Blues has it; the triple signs are SUN, MOON, and ASC. Stellia, on the other hand, aren't that rare. It's especially common for the SUN and MERCURY to share a sign. VENUS many times as well.

Three planets in one sign?
Not uncommon.

2 friends have Pisces stellium.
I have Virgo stellium.
Wife has Libra stellium.
Mom has Aries stellium.
An ex had Aquarius stellium.
Another cap stellium.

Not even including outer plants!! That's just off the top of my head.

Now, involving sun, moon, asc. Probably pretty rare as the window is very small considering the speed at which the asc and moon change signs.
Basically 2+/- hours a month if I'm thinking about that correctly.
