Topic: Trouble with my Ascendant!

So I've generated a couple of birth charts with my birth time but I keep getting very different results. My ascendant keeps alternating between either 26 degree Sag or 11 degree Cap.Natally I'm a Scorpio Sun, Sagittarius Moon.
With Sag Asc I would have Moon conjunct Asc in 1st house, Uranus in the 1st, along with Neptune. With Cap Asc I would only have Uranus/Neptune there. If anyone could give me any feedback on which of these two would most likely be correct would be greatly appreciated! Hmmm, I think this is a job for Kannon Mcafee. He is well-versed with these things. Seek him out.On my side, any planet on an angle can change the physical appearance of the individual. More especially when close to the Ascendant. I will bet on the Moon on the Ascendant giving you more "homey" feature that i see.Next on the list is Neptune. I just don't see Uranus strongly. You look saggy to me! You appear to smile much easier than a normal cap AC, they smile but not easily!
Also you have a look of depth and emotions that the moon would give you. The best way to tell though, look up what it's like to have a 12th house moon!! If it doesn't fit then you'll know. 12th house moon gives some very distinct hard to miss issues to deal with.
Always feeling isolated or like you don't belong, never feeling worthy, introversion, tons of self doubt, hard to feel secure enough to make friends or put yourself out there...you just never feel you belong anywhere, you always feel alone no matter how many ppl are around and it's a preoccupying theme throughout the persons life. I have a 12th house moon, it's one of the toughest placements to have and if you don't feel all alone on this planet the majority of the time you probably don't have a 12th house moon. IP: Logged |

You strike me as a Capricorn ASC.
The fact that you have a Sag Moon only complicates the matter because people are picking up on that (hence the Sag ASC assumption).I'd suggest to pay attention to your Jupiter and Saturn - see what they do (sign, house, aspects) as one or the other is your chart ruler (the ruler of your ASC) and can help in pinpointing what ASC you have. Also, as someone pointed out - use astro.com, it's a reliable website. And if all else fails, check the planets in your houses and see how they are modified depending on the ASC you get, and what placements fit you most (as Gabby said, the Moon in 1st vs. 12th house can be a biggie). What's interesting is that I seem to resonate with a little bit of both? As I've always had quite an expressive face and people have always been able to read the emotions on my face like a book (Moon on the 1st) yet I do tend to feel a vague loneliness from time to time and never really expressing my feelings not even to those I'm closest to (Moon in the the 12th).IP: Logged |

If I had to choose between those two options I would go with Sag because of the Moon conjunction.You have soft, full facial features like a Cancer rising. I know a few Capricorn Rising, you don't have the frozen facial ice queen expression they have even when smiling. But then again maybe with the Cap rising and the Neptune in the 1st you could be a Cap rising with the seriousness softened up by Neptune. Tough one IP: Logged |

I think what's causing such a difference in my chart placements is the time zone in which I was born..

Yeah I'm sure of that most definitely. Annnd I tried astro.com and it gave me 11 degree Cap! I also tried another trustworthy site someone mentioned to me called cafeastrology.com and it gave me 26 degree Sag. They both seem to be pretty valid websites for birth charts which is why I'm so confused. I wonder how they calculate the locations.. IP: Logged |

cafeastrology.com is incorrectly taking your birth time as being under DST. Daylight savings time ended October 30th in Nashville that year.However, there is no possible Asc at 11 Capricorn. The recorded birth time is not synonymous with the correct degree on the Asc. 26 Scorpio/19 south is possible parallel Moon 19S53; 2 Sag/20S37 is possible, also parallel Moon; 27 Sag/23S24 is possible, which is conjunct Moon; 3 Cap is possible. Read some good rising sign descriptions like the ones in linked in my signature. Read about all three and read about the Moon on my planets page. My description emphasizes rhythm, but the feminine aspect of internal rhythm and sensitivity to surroundings is important too. ------------------

So 11 degrees Cap Asc seems to not be correct either? If that's the case then 27 Sag conjunct the Moon you mentioned seems to make more sense to me.IP: Logged |

Not a bad place to start if you fit the descriptions of Sag rising. But it doesn't sound like it. Depends totally on whether you fit the descriptions of Moon conjunct Asc.Read lots of those descriptions and see if they describe you better then Cap rising or Scorpio. ------------------

From reading the descriptions, I can relate with Moon conjunct Asc, especially the notoriety and rhythmic attributes. But the Neptune in the 1st description that I have also seems to be quite similar to that as well which sort of throws me off.I'm pretty sure I can cancel out Scorpio rising as well since that would put my Sun on the Asc correct?
