I would look in synastry connections trine or conjunction
In my case is south node connections
when stimulating by transit

For example
his south node connection my Juno and Jupiter @3Capricorn
his moon and Chiron conjunction my
South node in Pieces

When recent Venus in Taurus and mercury in Pieces
he text me we are not together since transit Venus rx in Capricorn
He also contacted me last year around the time when transit mercury about rx in Pieces.

His natal Pisces moon and cancer Venus trine my natal Scorpio Mercury

he also has natal Venus rx so yeah his habit to contact his past and I'm one of his many past

I don't look past and would like to look forward my natal Venus is in Sagittarius

I've developed a complicated formula for reconnecting...

1. I like the idea of rx Venus & rx Mercury.

tMoon is involved in some way. I have a bunch of things in Virgo so I can't tell what's being hit, but tMoon to this sign brings me goodies. Perhaps that's it, tMoon to a stellium.

I have a reconnection to a Libra once upon a time. The whole "relationship" was a giant misunderstanding.

Libra frustrated me to no end so I ended things w/ tMoon in Capricorn. I then reached out w/ tMoon in Sagittarius. We reconciled, had great fun, then once more imploded with they dumping me at tMoon in Sagittarius - Venus was in Gemini at this time.

Months later at a Cancer new moon, and Venus back in Gemini (Venus had gone retrograde in the interim), Libra resurfaced just to say hi & bye. A week after that w/ tMoon in Libra (their own sun sign) they actually stopped to sit and talk with me. I was over the moon to have magnetized them with the strength of my allure. At the same time I was furious for being rejected earlier in the year.

I loved this person so it was a tough decision to make, letting them go. However, I was not happy with them or the pull they had on my emotions. I'm a stereotypical Gemini, emotional drama is a no-no. True, a little is good to glamorize a romance but somehow it lodges inside me and won't let go - it is then in the middle of all I decide that it and the source of it must be gotten rid of.
