Ok, so I posted a question a while ago about this guy's possible ascendant and now i have his d.o.b but not time. I believe in my heart he is a taurus asc. He is very much into material things like owning a house, drives a big expensive looking car, wants to buy a motorbike. He's a natural singer (professionally too), he takes his time, especially when it comes to romantic relationships. He would rather wait to sleep with a girl - hello dreamboat! lol He works out, has tatts, loves his food, is very determined and driven to succeed. He is also a tradie. Sun aries, mars gem, venus aries, merc taurus. My questions are: 1) would his asc be anything different and instead be influenced by saturn in his chart? someone mentioned it might. what aspects am i looking for here? 2) If he is a taurus asc, what might his decan be do you think?? Geez, he kinda sounds a lot like me! haha. I can see my face in his too... kind of! I'm a third decan Taurus ASC, which is co-ruled by Saturn - that hard working energy! I have no planets in Taurus, I feel like the only thing that rolls with the slow Taurus energy is my path in life... everything else is normal. But he has mercury in Taurus? That could explain a lot, too, like why he takes his time with girls and stuff? I'm not too experienced with Astrology though, so yeah(: IP: Logged |

Thanks Snowcatcher, it's so hard to figure out which decan but he definitely has that Saturnian vibe with his career! Anyone else want to try figure it out? IP: Logged |

Cannot answer the question as posed. What we're talking about is someone's birth chart, which requires date/time/location data. When dealing with third party charts if you can't share these, don't expect a substantive response. There are simply too many factors potentially involved. The best thing I can offer you is to try a chart that is not conjunct or parallel Mercury, since you list that as being in Taurus for him. His face is far too broad/squarish to indicate Mercury at the Asc in my view. No, I don't see Saturn in angular influence to his Asc based on his appearance. But you have not even listed a sign position for Saturn. Unless you give all relevant information, you can't get a dependable, substantive response. ------------------ Professional astrology - Expert rectification http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/ Rising Sign descriptions: https://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/rising-signs-2/ IP: Logged |

I've read that Mercury on the asc gives a high pitched voice but he has anything but! He has a beautifully rounded voice. He just looks so Taurus asc in my opinion. Can anyone pick anything up from his chart? IP: Logged |

The only possible Asc in Taurus is at 12*. So even though I did not think Mercury parallel/conjunct the Asc fit his appearance, evidently if this is correct, Pluto opp Asc helps override the 'Mercury only' appearance/interpretation.Again, I am not saying this makes a correct chart, but if Taurus rising is right, then it must be at 12*. ------------------ Professional astrology - Expert rectification http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/ Rising Sign descriptions: https://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/rising-signs-2/ IP: Logged |

thanks Kannon Would the mercury itself also indicate singing ability if he wasn't taurus asc? the other thing is that he sees and feels spirits. not sure where that would be aspected in his chart but thought it might help..IP: Logged |

That totally depends on what sign and what else is going on. Mercury itself only emphasizes some kind of communication or mental processing. It could just as easily be speaking, as with a teacher; or interviewing, as with a TV host. In Taurus it increases the likelihood the person will sing or as an introvert, withdraw and write. And in this chart with Asc at 12 Taurus/15N32 Mercury [15N11] is not only parallel the Asc, but is contra-parallel the MC [15S52]. So it is positioned not only to come naturally and be emphasized, but to be emphasized in his aims, goals and public orientation, you see? quote:

Consider Scorpio and Aquarius for his Asc, but I think you can also find justification for that in the houses that are emphasized in a 12 Taurus chart. Based on your description of him, I think you've assessed him well and Taurus is probably #1, followed by late Aquarius (opp Moon). ------------------ Professional astrology - Expert rectification http://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/ Rising Sign descriptions: https://kannonmcafee.wordpress.com/rising-signs-2/ IP: Logged |

wow that's amazing because all his efforts right now are going into signing with a record label. his aim is to become widely recognized for his singing - "fame and fortune" in his words. He wants to show the world "what he was born to do".
